Best flashlight ever. My first one lasted 12 years and was fabulous for using in my garage and workshop. It was such an integral part of my tool line up that I had to buy another one. It's very durable and very bright. I work on mowers as a sideline and enjoy auto repairs and restoration of gas pumps and any old cool mechanical/electrical items from years gone by, a regular "American Restoration" guy. I can't say enough good about this flashlight. It's a lot of money, but gives years of great service.

I did not notice or it did not say, that this particular LED strip does NOT come with a transformer, ,so you take it out of the package and you have no way to light it up. You have to order a transformer to operate this strip. I did have a charger for a rechargeable flash light, which I was able to make the strip come to life,, but the charger gets pretty hot, but the LED's are a neat item and does work good.

I use a replacement bulb for Emerson Indoor/Outdoor Cordless Rechargeable Bug Zapper. I have replaced before and it works great, the zapper is not made to do this, because the entire thing needs taken apart to change, but worth the cost of both to do this.

I bought three of these units. Installation, replacing non-motion-sensitive lights of similar size, was straightforward. I soldered all the connections rather than trusting to twisting bare wires together. This meant I needed larger acorn insulaters than were supplied, but that was not a problem. I like the flexible programming the lights allow, including a choice of dusk-to-dawn when needed. I installed compact fluorescent bulbs, providing lots of light for relatively little electricity consumption. Some electronic units are disturbed by compact fluorescents, but these are apparently immune. I shopped around before selecting this lamp -it was significantly less expensive than others with similar features. Overall it is an excellent value.

This one does what it says. some minor adjustment was made to fit into our old fixture. We had to use the old screw, because it was longer than the new one.

1. This does NOT have the low output setting... that is... the bulb glowing softer than normal as continuous operation and only glowing louder when triggered by motion sensor. This isn't for you if THAT is what you want.
2. I would give the paint quality 4 out of 5 but overall build quality 5 out of 5.
3. The highest sensitivity setting may not be good for those who want a large distance covered. By "distance", I mean, how far away from you want the sensor to trigger the light. Mine triggers around 8-10 ft displacement from the sensor which is fine for me.
4. Installation was easy and it worked just as expected. This was not the case with the previous lights I had purchased from Lowe's. Newbee note: Just remember to install correctly. These products have 4 wires instead of the 3 in normal lamps. The 4th wire is for the next-in-series lamp that you might want to control by THIS light's motion sensor... so that both come on when THIS light's motion sensor is triggered. Just don't connect that 4th wire to anything if you don't need to and it should work as normal.
5. For those times when you need it on while gulping beer in your patio... switch on and off 3 times in 3 seconds to toggle from sensor mode to always on mode. If u forget to toggle back to sensor mode, the always on mode turns back to sensor mode next morning... assuming there's sun showing up in your patio the next morning.
6. If my budget is the same and I don't need a low setting light, I will purchase this again instead of running around and comparing a million others.
Update three months later: Working flawlessly. As I approach the porch, the light comes on, and provides safe illumination and allows me to easily find the lock for the house key. It is stylish and attractive.

We installed this light facing a car travel lane 50 feet (15 meters) away on a fairly busy street. Even with the lowest setting, it stays on all night. it would have been nice to have an even lower setting. However, it's a good looking, well made light, which was delivered as promised for a good price, so we're very pleased with the purchase.

I've had one of these in a little lamp with a white shade that sits on an end table I have. It's used most nights I'm home and it's lasted for ages. The colors of the glass do start to fade a bit after such a long while however, even though the bulb life goes on and on. If they made some with different wattages, like for instance at least 60, that would be wonderful. Unfortunately they only come in 25 watts. If there were higher wattages, I'd be tempted to use more of them here and there around my home, although they are a bit pricey...
However, I do have a major complaint with these bulbs. On every one of them that I've seen, almost 1/3 of the bulb surface is yellow glass. There are more yellow pieces than any other color except for red, and the red pieces are smaller. I counted more than one bulb, and this was the average result:
Yellow: 10 pieces
Red: 10
Orange: 7
Blue: 5
Green: 3
The pieces which are fewest in number are also the smallest in size. I'm not sure why that is. Personally, I don't find a predominance of yellow to be appealing. I would prefer that the colored pieces which comprise these bulbs were more equal in size and distribution and therefore with a bit less yellow-tinted light.
UPDATE JAN 2012:
Sometime after writing this review, I began to find that some of the bulbs I bought were being made with more red glass and less yellow. (I uploaded a picture.) I think that for some reason this was usually the case when I got them together in 2-packs. But after a certain point, the place where I got the 2-packs unfortunately stopped carrying them that way, and I've been unable to find them sold like that anywhere since then.
Also, as of right now it looks like the price of these has risen almost 50% since I originally posted this review. Hmm.

I bought a set of two of these bulbs at Walmart the other day for $9.00 in the clearance isle. Never seen stained glass bulbs before so i curiously bought them. When i got home i put it in a Lamp with a clear/frost white shade. I have the 40-Watt version of these in an overhead light... They're beautiful with the light on or off. Unlike some customers, I haven't seen any fading of the colors {I have 2 in the noted fixture}. The glow emitted by these is very "warm", so don't look for bright light from them. I think they're more about giving the room a warm, welcoming, relaxing feel than about creating a well-lit space. I've had my two bulbs for 8 yrs. now and they're still going strong.As an added way of making these look even more amazing, put them on a dimmer.... Magic =)
They're a bit pricey, BUT, consider that 5yrs. ago or so, they were $25 each ;)

So I replaced half of my xenon Juno 22" under cabinet lights with these fixtures, and I have to say they distribute light more evenly. The color is cooler than a xenon, but as a xenon is even warmer than halogen, that was expected. I didn't expect the 1 or so second delay from turning on. But it's livable. I like that they don't get hot and distribute the light evenly, and are the same in brightness as the 60w (20w x 3) xenon bulb fixtures that I replaced while using just 6 watts. I do recommend these since the others I looked at (Ikea) weren't providing nearly the same amount of light. Today I think every watt saved is money in the bank and if I were doing a new install or remodel I would only purchase LED lights. They are probably not worth the cost (ROI) if you are just replacing for the new technology, but the reduced heat may be worth the cost if your kitchen is small and heats up anyway from the oven and halogen lighting you probably already have.The manufacturer distributes this item with varying color temperatures. Be sure to specify to your retailer what color temperature you desire!

I was looking for a dim light that did not put off much heat. This is the one. The filament is visible looking directly at it, in other words it is not too bright. It puts off a good ambient light and does warm up, but does not get too hot. Good looking bulb.

Like the steampunk feel this bulb brings to my office. The 25 Watt is more for appearance than function. I bought a 40-Watt for the other socket of the same lamp, when I need functional light.
Cheap Ledwholesalers 4'x1' LED Light Panel 50 Watt Edge Lit Cool White
This IS a brilliantly bright and amazingly thin led panel that you can mount in various ways. I think the description and photos from the seller omit a couple of important details. First, I intend to mount three panels directly to the ceiling of a basement room with 7.5' clearance. The low-profile is appealing in this case. Unfortunately, there are rounded metal tabs on all the corners (for other mounting options) that will force the panel to be 3/8" off the ceiling, i.e. not perfectly flush. You can't just nip or remove the tabs because the electrical connector would prevent a flush mount as well. Instructions state that there should be at least 2mm clearance between the panel and ceiling anyway.
Nowhere in the description or photos did they mention the bulky transformer required to run this thing. I guess I'd naively assumed that those electronics had been integrated into the panel itself. Since I don't want to mount an ugly transformer right next to this sleek light panel, I have to bury it in the ceiling. To do that the right way requires purchasing a special junction box, which Amazon also sells, the Lo-Pro Junction Box.
I intend to sink the junction box into the ceiling and cover the access plate with the led panel itself.
Now you know what I didn't.

This is a pretty nice light, the light itself is basically what it is represented to be, like stated before it does have a separate transformer to be factored in. It is definitely thin, and the light is great. It is not the highest standard of construction, some of the little screws weren't all the way in but I just tightened everything up a bit. Considering the price as compared to other LED panels I think this one is a wonderful option.

I bought this light to use inside a truck topper. I liked the idea of not having to wire a switch. I wired the light and the light stopped working. I left a rather bad review of this product at first, but to my surprise the company contacted me and provided a free light to replace my light. I was in the process of taking out my old light when I discovered that my installation was substandard. The light didn't work because of a faulty crimp I made at a butt connection. I since have used this light and it works great for my application. I sometimes wished I would have bought the 12" version. I would gladly buy from Pilot again due to their customer service. The customer service was excellent and I feel bad for making a initial bad review. The light could be improved by making the mounting location out of the same aluminum the housing is made of. I am a average home handy man and wiring a light like this is very simple. I chose to use an inline 3 amp fuse I had laying around the house. I wired the light directly to the battery terminals in my truck. I rate this light at 4 stars because of the plastic mounting tabs. I cannot mention the customer service enough. They are a great group of people. I will buy from them again.

The overall dimension is 6 inches, the lights are only 3 inches, I was expecting to just plug it in, but had to purchase a seperate plug and wire to use it. Just installed this to replace some ten year old Halo low voltage cans with sockets that kept burning out. I was surprisingly pleased. It would have installed perfectly had my contractor cut a round hole in the ceiling, but the light still gripped the oval hole reasonably well. Overall, it felt well made. It fit very flush to the ceiling, even better than the expensive Halos. Nothing fancy, but not junk.
The light seems really bright, but is hard to judge just by eyeballing it. It is rated at 400 lumens and the halogen are 500+. When you look at the ceiling, the LED seems brighter, but when you look at the floor the halogen seems brighter. I can't really tell if that's because of the way the light is dispersed. But it seems fine. Good enough that I will probably buy more to retrofit the rest of the kitchen with them. I am certainly not tempted to pay the $150 plus that the high end lights cost.
The one small concern is that you can't replace the bulb because it is integral to the unit, but if the LED lasts even half as long as advertised it will never matter.
