The safety benefits of a battery-operated tea candle are incontestable. You can leave them on if you are are leaving the room for more than a couple of minutes. You don't have to worry about falling asleep.

I have several glass or crystal tea candle holders I use around the house. You need to be aware that even though these Inglow flameless candles are advertised as "white" in the description, they are more yellowish in person (as can be seen in the picture). This will affect the appearance and often not replicate the look you are used to with a real tea candle. What I did is develop a set of tea candle holders that look nice with the battery-operated device, and for special occasions i still use the traditional light.

On the plus side besides the safety aspect:

these last about two days of continuous use before they start fading (it will take at least 4 days before they die out completely)

they can be put in spots where there is not enough clearance to safely put a traditional candle, like on bookshelves

On the negative side:

the battery compartment opening mechanism is very cheaply designed. It is the kind where you use the side of coin to rotate the compartment until it opens. But instead of screwing into the back of the candle, the lid is secured with two little pieces of plastic that break very easily. It would have worked much better to have a lever you can press to release the lid like in other models

Useful product, but on account of the light not being as white as stated, and the poor battery compartment opening mechanism, I give it 3 stars.

The flames break off incredibly easily. I bought these to use with my homeschool kids to make astronomy crafts. I don't expect them to be super durable for the price, but I knocked one of the flames off and I was not being rough at all. I do expect to be able to reuse a product that I buy specifically for its reusability. I won't be purchasing these again if we need LED tea lights.

I LOVE these flameless candles! There is a small battery on the back of each candle which lasts about 60 hours. I have always enjoyed having lit candles throughout my apartment, however, I always worried I would fall asleep while they were lit. With these flameless candles, no more worry and you can't tell the difference!

I bought two packs of them and they are all in use in various candle holders and vases of colored glass. They're particularly nice because they can be placed wherever you like with no fear of damage from heat or wax, to either the container or the furniture. They are nearly as bright as a real candle.

These need to be in an enclosed candle holder. They are not very attractive to look at when you can see them.

This is a great flashlight. The light intensity is better than every other light I have ever used. I use this almost every day and the charge has lasted for over 16 hours. If there was one improvement that I could suggest it would be to have a more robust charging connection. For the price, there is no other light that provides this much value.

Just received this today, will update this review later if needed. This appears to be superior to the popular Pak light. 6 LEDs instead of two; two levels of brightness. Also only about $9, whereas the basic pak light is a couple of dollars more, I believe. Also super saver shipping.

The LED assembly snaps on securely; doesn't seem likely to come off in normal usage. The LEDs are recessed, which I like. The pak light LEDs protrude so that they are more exposed to possible damage, plus the light tends to shine in your eyes.

I have 2 pak lights I use around the house and they are great flashlights. But I tried carrying one in my pocket, and it had a tendency to turn itself on. I would pull it out and it would already be on and running down the battery. This light has a more recessed and smoother switch that doesn't seem as susceptible to accidental turning on. Also the switch is larger; the pak light switch is tiny.

Another (minor) thing I liked is the included battery is black, which matches the LED assembly, so that's kind of cool. Standard battery though, not alkaline.

My one complaint (to Amazon) is that this flashlight didn't come up when I searched on "9 volt flashlights" or even "6 LED flashlight." I only found this because it came up as a 'suggestion' at the bottom of the page when I was searching on the above. Perhaps because it's sold by a 3rd party. Anyway, my initial impression is very positive and I will probably buy more as gifts unless some problems develop.

UPDATE

I've had this for a couple of weeks now. I've tried carrying it in both my front and back pocket and no problems with accidental turning on. LED's also remain securely in place.

Just noticed something curious: at the top of the page it says unavailable. But this product also shows on a different page as "Mini Compact Size Ultra Bright 9V LED." With different customer reviews and it says "in stock." Appears to be the same item, down to the "9 Lives" battery. So if you want one, try searching with that name.

I bought this to light up the bathroom during south Florida power failures. It stands up nicely unlike most of my flashlights. The low setting is good enough most of the time so the battery should last a long time. I noticed when I took into my large garage the light pattern we not very even, in fact it was pretty bad then again this was less than 10 bucks. The other 9V flashlights for twice or three times the price might have a better light pattern but the light is good enough for what I need it for, especially considering I can buy three of these for the price of the high end 9V flashlight.

I own several flashlights, including a few of these type that pop onto a 9v battery. I bought this one more for curiosity since it didn't have a brand name or much of a description. I am impressed with the amount of light this little guy can produce. It has two settings, the low setting uses just the two middle LED's and the bright setting uses all six. Both setting produce enough light to easily find your way around the woods or light up a decent size room. The flashlight seems to be built with quality in mind, having no rough edges and a firm grip on the 9v battery. I would say that this light is a very good value and would be excellent for hiking or as an emergency light around the house or in your car.

Ledwholesalers 7 Watt Dimmable LED Standard Screw Base 50 Watt Incandescent Replacement Light Bulb 7 Watt Globe, Bright White By 1012wh

I bought two bulbs, this one and the warm light version of the same bulb. I really like that they only use 5 watts, that they are supposed to last a long time, and that they don't contain mercury. I have only had them for a couple of months, so I don't know about their longevity yet. The shape of the bulb is almost identical to an incandescent bulb, but light only comes from the end of the bulb; below that are cooling fins for the electronics. This makes the light somewhat more directional than an incandescent.

Light: The white version casts a very cold light. It's too "cold" for my tastes. The warm version is much better, but still much cooler than an incandescent bulb. Its brightness seems close to that of the incandescent, even though it uses 1/12th of the energy wow!

Dimming: I put it in a dimmable dining room fixture that has five 60 watt incandescent bulbs, replacing just one of the bulbs. It was easy to tell which of the five was the LED bulb because the light was colder. It also did not dim the same way, although it does dim. The LED dimmed much more slowly. When the incandescent bulbs were almost dark, the LED was still shining at a moderate brightness. As it dims more, it suddenly shuts down and goes dark.

Overall I like these, even though they are very expensive, it's worth having a few in strategic places. I would not use an LED bulb next to an incandescent bulb because of the difference in the quality of the light. I have the warm bulb in a hallway that I often leave on for long periods; the white version is in an outside porch light that comes on at dusk. I'm mostly using CFLs right now, but will probably switch to LED lights as they burn out hopefully the cost will come down by then. I would only buy the warm light version. For now I would only use them in non-dimmable fixtures, partly because of how they dim, and partly because of the price.

I ordered a few different types and wattage of LED bulbs from different manufacturers to try out because I've dropped 2 CFL's over the past 6 months. I have been very happy happy with my Panasonic CFL's the past 5 years, but now that LED's have come into their own I feel that the time is right to make the switch as I'm not a happy camper cleaning up mercury, regardless of how minute the amounts, in my home.

It seems to me that the latest version of this LED bulb that I received has been upgraded from 5 to 6 watts, even although the part number remains the same i.e. 1012WH.

The bright white color is a little too harsh for me and seems slightly higher than it's rated 6000K. I would rate it more like 6500K which is similar to bright midday sunlight on a summers day harsh and very bright white. Ideal for displaying diamonds, jewelry and other objects that look good under this bright white light, but it's just a little too disconcerting for home use in my opinion. Warm white, the warm glow of sunrise or sunset, which is about 2700K, is way too yellow for me. I generally prefer home bulbs to be around 4000K, especially for reading, but no higher than 5000K. The quality and uniformity of this light is excellent. Keeping in mind that coverage is quite a bit less than incandescents. Probably about 190 degree forward coverage versus about 300 for the latter. This makes it an ideal candidate for shop displays and photographers who want to mimic outdoor sunlight. But it would be hard to relax at home with such a harsh bright white light.

Brightness is about the same as a 13 watt CFL, and I would rate it equivalent to a 50 watt incandescent, which is more than adequate brightness for most home use.

Please note that I have given it 5 stars because of the excellent quality and brightness of light produced, notwithstanding the fact that I find it a little too harsh for most home applications.

August 26, 2011 Added two pics with notes and labels to give potential customers some idea of the differences in color and light output. No camera can accurately capture the color or dynamic range of the eye, but rest assured that none of these bulbs produce a greenish cast, and although the 6500K bulbs are harsh white, they don't look bluish to me. IMHO the manufacturer's product pic accurately captures this bulb's intense white color.

Best Deals for Ledwholesalers 7 Watt Dimmable LED Standard Screw Base 50 Watt

this light bulb produces light similar to what moonlight looks like: blueish, and vague. it has been rated as being able to replace a 50 watt bulb which is wishful thinking. I would rate it more like a 25 watt bulb replacement. by itself the color is just awful, but I mix it with a warm light bulb, which makes it bearable. I was disappointed and do not recommend this product. In short: low output, awful bluish color.

Honest reviews on Ledwholesalers 7 Watt Dimmable LED Standard Screw Base 50 Watt

I compared two similar LED bulbs, the Dimmable Standard Screw Base A60 LED Light Bulb 5 Watt Globe, white 1012WH ($21)

with the Dimmable E26 A60 Standard Household Base 50 Watt Incandescent Light Bulb Replacement with a 6 Watt LED, Warm White, 1012ww ($22),

both from Amazon.

Both were medium bright, perhaps about the same as a 30-watt incandescent bulb. One of these emits a pleasant Sun-colored light and the other emits a blueish light of about the same brightness. The label on the packaging of these two is (almost) identical, and there are no markings on the bulbs. Once taken out of the box it's not easy to say which box contained the blueish one and which contained the yellowish one :(

The bulbs are quite heavy -if you want to install them int one of those adjustable lamps with a spring-loaded arm, say Swing Arm Reading Lamp with Clamp in Chrome, good luck!

What irritates me about the way these are sold (and this applies to most new CFL types as well) is that the advertising or labeling usually does not make it clear how the light intensity compares with ordinary wattage-rated incandescent bulbs. I have a mental image of how bright a 60-watt bulb or a 100-watt bulb is. I don't know from lumen, lux, foot-candle or candela -and if I did, I'd be hard pressed to make a mental calculation from reading a specification label to translate that information into equivalence of old-fashioned incandescent watts.

I'd ask manufacturers and retailers to let us know how bright their bulb is, as marked by a traditional wattage rating! They ought to do that, at least until we've become accustomed to the new system. How difficult would it be? I'd have rated these products higher if the package and advertisement sated clearly and in bold print, that information, unambiguously.

I bought four different bulbs in the 60 watt equivalent range listed on Amazon. I wanted to see if this particular bulb was as good as the 5 I bought for my dining room last year, from a local retailer, which were also in the "bright white" temperature range. Now some people do not like light that is very white (sometimes called cool white, or daylight white, etc). I personally prefer it as it's easier to read magazines, etc with a purer white colored light. I rated this bulb #2 of my four different purchases. The $11.90 price was excellent and the color temperature is perfect for my needs. I could also read easier with this light than I could with the two lower rated, "yellower" light bulbs (see my other LED lighting reviews for more information, if you are interested).

Before purchasing this, I really had a hard time deciding which headlamp to buy. It was either this, the Princeton Tec Apex Pro 200 Lumen Headlamp, or the Fenix HP10 7 Level 225 Lumen LED Headlamp.

Like many other people, I thought this headlamp was going to be a little in the heavy side because of the 4 AA batteries, but not quite! I have used this for about 4 weeks used it in saltwater fishing and kayaking. I don't think this headlamp would be ideal if you're running or if you're going to wear this for long periods of time. So if you're in debate whether to get this or the PRO version, keep in mind what activity you are mostly going to use this for. Also, keep in mind that the PRO version has slightly less run time since the battery capacity is lower. So there is a trade off.

Now for the reason why I have this a 3-star mediocre review.

One night I was kayak fishing and my headlamp kept turning on and off sporadically so I figured that my head lamp was running low in battery or something was messing up the connections. When I took it home I saw that there was water condensation within the light housing! Keep in mind that his headlamp is supposed to be rated, PX7 (waterproof to 1 meter for up to 30 minutes). I know I did not go underwater or capsized with this lamp, just the occasional saltwater splash.

Anyways, I called Princeton Tec and they told me to send it to them for evaluation. They will either repair it or send me a brand new one (hopefully). The only bad part is that they said it will take about 4 weeks for them to send it to me!! I sent this lamp in on Aug 15 and with a tracking number, I saw that is was successfully delivered in their shop. However, the guy said that they either haven't received it yet or "it's just sitting a big bin somewhere with many other RMAs." That can not be a good sign. I should have just returned it to Amazon and bought it again. With Amazon prime, that would be way quicker than sending it for repair/replacement.

In summary, this headlamp is really good if you got a good pair like the other reviewers here. I would rate this headlamp 4-stars or even 5 stars. I had a really good experience with it. I really think that I just had a bad pair. So, f you have a problem with it, expect a long wait if you send to Princeton Tec. Just send it back to Amazon (if you're in return window of course).

Now that I think about it, Hurricane Irene is hitting the east coast this weekend. I hope it wont be too bad, but do I wish I had this lamp during the storm.

Update:

I have received the unit back and they just sent me a completely new one. One of the major problems that I see with this lamp is the O-ring. It can come out easily when you remove/replace the batteries, so be careful!

I started carrying this headlamp on a thru hike of the Appalachian Trail when the days started getting short, and right thru winter on the trail. It worked so well that it became a four season light in my pack. Generally thru hikers carry much, much lighter headlamps. I however can't shake this headlamp for a lighter one. It is a fantastic light, that takes a beating, and preforms perfectly. I carried this headlamp for 6,000 long distance miles on the Appalachian Trail. It did not fail, ever. Winter long distance hiking on the Appalachian Trail requires "night hiking", a lot of "night hiking". I clocked in some long hours in the dark, night after night, for months on end. It preformed flawlessly. I just can't give this light anything but 5 stars. This light has a voltage regulator. Four AA Lithium battery's will get you 50 hours of CONSISTENT burn time set on "4 LED LOW". Which is the mode I always night hiked with it in, and it was plenty of light to quickly cover miles on the Appalachian Trail at night. The 3 watt spot, and 4 LED HIGH are always available if you need more light, but both those modes increase battery power, and I used those modes sparingly (when needed). The 3 watt spot is super powerful, and is a handy tool to have, but use it sparingly, as it eats battery. 4 LED Low is plenty to night hike by.

Best Deals for Princeton Tec Apex 200 Lumen Headlamp

I bought the Apex after years of using a Petzl Zoom and the difference was fantastic. This is an extremely bright light with four decent light settings plus an SOS setting that to be honest isn't of any interest to me with its intended usage which is fishing and dog walking. I especially like the strap, it seems most manufacturers have opted to go with a round the head only type strap and I find this type with an additional over the top strap provides a more secure fit. It isn't perfect though, the batteries last no time at all on high beam however the low beam & low flood settings do last for ages.

However, the quality of materials used in this lamp is extremely suspect. On first appearance it is a solid unit, well made and robust. In my case however the plastic used for the rear of the lamp holder & hinge simply degraded and fell to pieces. The lamp had been used for no more than 10hrs use very occasionally over year as it was bought on a whim when I was sick of looking for 4.5v batteries for my Petzl. One day I got it out of the cupboard and the lamp unit was detached from the headband. The plastic hinge had broken into several small brittle pieces of plastic without any impact whatsoever. Fortunately the unit comes with a 10 year guarantee (and believe me, if you have bought one of these you will need it!).

Princeton were extrememly good to deal with and accepted that the lamp was defective immediately via email. They have a UK service agent, Whitby & Company (UK) Ltd in Kendal, Cumbria and I was advised to contact them, again a very helpful company. After a brief phonecall I sent the lamp back and was delivered a new unit within a few days.

The replacement unit is now about two years old and guess what? I have just packaged it up for return to Whitby and Co with exactly the same fault. What I at first thought was a rogue lamp has now manifested itself as a serious manufacturing defect. I'm glad I din't rely on the lamp for caving etc, if i did i would be very reluctant to use it. A quick internet search will throw up dozens of people who have had the same issue. This one is only on its second set of batteries. Buyers beware!

As a company Princeton & their service agant Whitby & Co are both excellent. This product however is fatally flawed and If I get a new unit as a replacement this time, I will probably sell it on.

Honest reviews on Princeton Tec Apex 200 Lumen Headlamp

This headlamp is very bright and easy to carry due to the compact size. A major drawback is that you will need to replace the batteries quite often, e.g. every two days after intense field work. I have no experience with high-end products of other brands to make a direct comparison.

I've been using headlamps at least two to three nights per week for the last five years or more. During that time, I've had the opportunity to own a number of headlamps made by different manufacturers. I've used Petzl, Pelican, Black Diamond, Cree, Coleman, and Energizer. The Princeton Tec Apex is easily the most comfortable, brightest, lightest, most capable headlamp.

I've been looking for inexpensive alternatives to the $7 each malibu bulbs for my yard, and I was very excited when I came across these. They look very similar to the malibu and FEIT bulbs, but have a lens over the top that the others do not have. I thought this might be good, as maybe improved protection from the elements would extend their life. Upon installation they fit the fixtures fine and lit up brightly, as expected. That was the good news. The bad news is that they all failed within a month of installation, some within a few days. They simply burned out, as evidenced by the clear glass going to a frosted look. By contrast, the Malibu and FEIT bulbs would last for months and months before needing replacement (normally due to one of the posts corroding away). I will continue my hunt for a cost effective replacement bulb, but I won't be buying this one again, regardless of the price. Don't be lured in by the low cost. They're just horrible bulbs.

I originally purchased these light bulbs a little over a year ago for use in low voltage landscape fixtures. 12 lights arrived properly packaged; not more you can say. However, this is my second time coming back for replacements. I had about 3 left and felt it was time to order more for using this year. Discussing the quality I did have one or two bad lights but overall these bulbs have lasted a long, long time. Like another reviewer stated you can barely get 2 of these individual lights at a local retailer for the same price and over the past year these have gone down in price, fantastic. Overall I'm very pleased with this product and this seller and would recommend this product. For the price, it's truly an amazing value for a great product.

I searched local stores and the internet for replacement reflector bulbs in the proper wattage. I could find nothing in the stores that met my needs. Purchased this dimmer for my under-cabinet lighting in my kitchen. As the title implies, there's not a lot to say. It was easy to install, it works fine. ONe neat thing is that this dimmer is "programmable" in that you can set the time it takes to fade in or out, the lowest level it will dim to, the highest level it will dim to, and a preset for when you turn it on. Other than that, it's a dimmer.

One of my favorite headlamps to date! The packaging of the item is nice it comes with a small nylon carry bag (with a nice drawstring closure) and a belt clip, in addition to the head strap. The instruction sheet is short, but well written and very detailed.

The unit itself is a nice resin plastic material. All the contacts are gold plated so if they get wet, they shouldn't corrode. The head may be removed and put on the end to act as a flashlight. The head swivel adjustment has a nice detente "click" feel to it. Only two of the click positions are useful as a headlamp, unlike some others that have a finer adjustment 7 clicks moves the head 180 degrees so that's around 25 degrees per click. (NOTE: I adjust the position of the straps on my head for optimum lighting, then use the swivel if you are looking at something overhead). The adjustment is smooth and even.

With AA alkaline, it isn't too heavy on your head (heavier than the black diamond moonlight, but lighter than the petzl led duo). The light pattern is a nice even pattern brighter than the black diamond moonlight, about the same as the petzl duo (close enought really). The switch mechanism has a nice positive "click" feel to it (just like a rubber button push button on a normal flashlight). The adjustments for illumination are great you can choose your illumination level at lower levels, all 7 leds are still lit, they are just pulsed very fast, so that even though it is low illumination, it is still very broad and even.

The addition of a red LED that can be used separately from the other 6 white LEDs is really nice to have. The "hyper-bright" or whatever mode it is can be useful if you like using the headlamp at low to mid settings, then have a temporary bright light. I don't find it useful, but some people think it's neat.

This lamp is good at illuminating objects 30-40 feet away. Better than the black diamond moonlight, and about the same as the petzl 5-led duo.

The headband material is a bit cheap meaning it is a very coarse weave, and might irritate those with sensitive scalps (or bald heads, shaved heads, etc). Not as nice a fabric band as the black diamond moonlight. Petzl's is better too.... but I just wear a hat if it becomes bothersome. The straps are nice and wide, and can be adjusted to fit comfortably. The unit is light and the straps are wide, so it stays put on your head.

The battery compartment is a bit annoying to operate the catch looks like it could break if you pried really hard but snapping it on -off-on-off-on-off repeatedly doesn't seem to bother it. I would rather have a beefier catch mechanism, but I got spoiled by the PETZL design.... The door itself appears to have a rubber seal, so it may be very water resistant I don't think this thing is waterPROOF, but I don't know (the packaging does not specify). It's not an underwater light for sure!

Converting it to the flashlight mode is simple there is a large "thumb screw" that you can loosen and move the head to the end of the unit. very quick and very well thought out design. I don't use this, I have my streamlight 4AA instead :) but it's a neat feature. Stand it on end on a table, then tilt the head to the desired angle for reading, working on something, etc. Makes it more useful.

Bottom line: If you don't want a dual headlamp design (halogen and led) want to save a little weight, this is a GREAT headlamp. Very bright and useful. RED single LED mode is cool. Different settings are great. Adjustments are easy. Headband is comfy enough (some people might be bothered by the scratchy material on the headband just wear a hat). Comes with a little carry bag and a belt clip. Great for projects around the house hiking after dark being a geek in general (hey show up to a premier of a star wars or LOTR movie with the strobe a flashin' you're the life of the party!).

Already have a headlamp? Get this kind as a spare. Light, comes with it's own carry pouch, very versatile. A definite 5-star product. Get one today!

Update: just want to add one thing to this old review. Now that these lights are a lot cheaper and there's lots of competition out there, I tried to find a similar but lighter weight alternative. I still use these old photon fusion headlamps a lot, but mostly for reading with the red light at night so that I don't disturb my wife. I also use the red light a lot for astronomy to not disturb night vision. But these are a little old and clunky, so I tried to find a lightweight replacement and got some hiking headlamps at REI that had red/white light functions. The problem is that I could not find any lights that had both dimmable red and white lights. Lots of headlamps now have dimmable white lights, but they neglect to dim the red light. Well, I find that a dimmable red light is the most useful feature a headlamp can offer. I couldn't find a replacement, so I still use the old photon fusions for reading and astronomy. I now use a ZebraLight headlamp for ultralight backpacking (awesome waterproof lights with only 1 AA cell, but don't have white and red on the same lights), and the Photon Fusions now stay at home but I use them more than ever, nearly 10 years later. For any of you insomniacs out there, you really should try this--if you read a book at night with the red light on the lowest visible setting, your partner in bed will not be disturbed by the light--it reaches the text of your book, but does not appear to light up anything else in the room. Plus, red light supposedly does not disturb your circadian rhythm, so its easier to fall asleep after reading late at night.

I'm addicted to this light. I got it mainly because I wanted an efficient bike light and an occasional headlamp for camping. I bought the bike attachment ($5.00) and ended up using it almost every day in the winter, since I commute to work and school by bike. Definitely bright enough for conservative biking in the pitch dark (and lasts maybe 10 hours on the bright setting), and the strobe is awesome for city riding--you'll never not be seen again (I'm constantly "almost hit" by cars who don't see smaller bike lights)!! After parking the bike, the light clips off and goes in my bag. Because of this, I always have the light with me, which has made it useful in so many situations where I unexpectadly needed a light.

The light was so great, I bought a second for my fiancee when she went to Africa with the Peace Corps. As she often is without power, and decent batteries are hard to come by, she says that this light has been a real lifesaver. I brought mine when I came to visit, and we were using them all the time. I expect the same when she returns and we go camping. The thing is, when you have a light that runs for 150 hours on 3-AA batteries (on the low setting, which is plenty enough for walking around or reading), you leave it on and use it a lot. Contrast to the old days of the C-Cell flashlights that you had to use sparingly during those late nights in the tent--since you knew the batteries would run out quick. We even used the great red LED for reading the starcharts for the southern hemisphere. What a great extra to add to the light.

Other reviewers did a great job on the other points, so I won't bore you here. But one thing I'll mention about customer service: I originally bought the very first version of this light, which had some problems. The latch on the battery box was flimsy. LRI, without question, sent updated boxes to all registered owners. I then had a problem with electrodes contacting correctly. I called and they said I could return for a repair/replacement, but unfortunately, it would take a few weeks, since they were backordered--but they gave me an option of having the owner of the company talk to me and tell me how to fix it myself. 1/2 hour later and it was working, and I didn't have to wait 2 weeks. Everything was fine for 1 year, and then the switch stopped working correctly (Mind you, this is daily use on a bike in rain, snow, hail, etc). I unfortunately had to return the unit. Less than a week later, the brand-new, updated version arrived on my porch, no questions asked. It's been another year of biking and bad weather, and the light (updated version has had none of the problems of the original version, plus it has the red LED) is still working beautifully.

If you want a good, all-purpose, efficient light, then this is definitely the one.

I purchased this as a gift for my pilot fiance specifically because it had bright white LEDs and red LEDs for use at night to preserve night vision. The lamp does not disappoint! There are several levels of brightness for the white LEDs as well as the reds which I think is a first for headlamps (at least out of the scores I've looked at). This will be a handy tool when he's in the plane at night and needing to look at plates! No more messing with a flashlight, just push a button, get the desired intensity of red, and he's good to go! The white LEDs have an incredible range at max brightness and it will come in handy when biking and working in the dark. There is also a neat SOS feature which will flash "SOS" in morse at the brightest white LED level, definitely good in emergencies! The lamp is detachable from the headband and usable as a flashlight and a table light.

We've only now started using it but this will be a great lamp for biking, nighttime explorations, anytime a flashlight would be used but especially for flying! This appears to be the best on the market that combines white LEDs and red LEDs. The kit also comes with Energizer batteries, not cheap, generic, low-charge batteries. Always a plus! Hopefully this lamp will prove itself in the long term. If anything negative crops up I will attempt to post it here, otherwise I highly recommend this lamp, especially for pilots! I must get one for myself now!

This flashlight is great! I am a student pilot and I needed a flashlight during night flights and this flash light has everything a student pilot needs. First, it has red light function that can change in brightness which is very useful at night. Also, the headstrap and the clip that came with the light are very good and handy. I've bought three flashlights before this one and always been disappointed but this flashlight has everything I need with no flaws. Battery life and brightness are very good too.

I have used this light now for 11 years and it is by far the most reliable light I've ever used. It isn't the brightest of lights out there as LED flashlights have come a long way since I first read about this on in Pop-Sci in 2002. But It's been with me everywhere, hiking, canoeing, and working around the house and easily has over 1000 hours on it, and has never failed. Its waterproof and rugged, plus its non round shape makes it easy to attach to pikes' helmets, pretty much anything securely. Plus now its very affordable. The only slight issue is that when wearing it the balance is off and is fairly heavy, however allot of that weight is from the 3xAA batteries, however that also equals long run times.

This lamp is everything a good desk/task lamp should be. I use it for paper/computer work (I have eye strain but this light is so bright and comfortable that it makes reading a joy). Also, I do various kinds of art work and find that the lamp's light/tone is true. The easy tap-on/tap-off control on the base is a nice feature (3 light strengths), and the flexibility of the neck and also the light positions (articulates in a manner that is toy-like) makes it fun to use. The lamp is lightweight, but the base is solid and holds well without tipping. It is modern and stylish, and overall I couldn't be more pleased with it!

I bought the Shyne LED light as I thought it would do perfectly with the kind of office I was creating. It is excellent. The base is heavy enough so that it will not tip. Also, love the design and the fact you can shape how you'd like. I hadn't realized that there were different brightness setting. This is great for when you don't need a really bright light and times you need something bright. It is a very well made lamp and it will be what the office is being decorated around. You won't be sorry if you get this light!

This is a great desk lamp but the light is very cold. The Efren website describes it like bright starlight which I guess makes sense as it's a very white, bluish light. It's may work for some but I find it very sterile and cold and would prefer a warmer light tone towards the yellow spectrum. My shipment didn't come with a user manual so I'm trying to find where I can get replacement bulbs. I found the Efren manufacturer website here

I'm docking one star since the shipment seemed incomplete with a product manual and the lower half of the stand does not flex (only the top part) so one of the pictures here on Amazon is misleading as it shows red arrows showing that the lower body pole adjusts as well. It says this on the manufacturer website also but this was for the LTK-1500 model so I think does not apply to this one.

As far as rope lights go, here are the good points: arrived quickly, whole rope worked immediately, came with plenty of fastners, gives off a nice blue glow, and was a good price.

Only down fall, it has a strong plastic smell that has lingered a few days.

I live in a small town with a long line of power poles between the power company and here. On top of that, the small town lives in an area where severe storms happen 7 months out of the year. When (not if) a storm plows through with 100mph winds, it tends to tear lines and poles down. Sitting in the dark for 30 minutes to an hour happens a lot.

I bought 2 of these emergency lighting lamps and installed them in out-of-the-way areas in my house. They work exactly as described. Every time a severe storm comes through and knocks out the power, I know that my rooms will be lit up by the strong lighting these units put out. No more tripping in pitch blackness, no more smacks in the shin by furniture.

Not quite as simple an installation as described. Must be hardwired into a 4" square or octagon junction box. We bought two as gifts and one for ourselves. We will be installing our own, but will replace the gifts with something else that does not require reconfiguration of our friends homes or an electrician for those who don't do electricity. The style is very nice and will serve us well in the Pacific Northwest with all our power outages.

This light carries the larger size rechargeable batteries designed specifically for these types of exit lights (same kind as used in house alarm systems). The more expensive, but less power hungry LED version of this light, carries a much smaller rechargeable battery, so that housing can be a little smaller. Be sure to consider run time of this unit alongside of the LED version, and decide which best suits your need. For me, I was OK with the more affordable, slightly larger model, with reduced run time. For commercial use, one may want to step-up to the LED.

These lights are cheap simple to replace but like I said cheap. We bought these to replace the ones that have went out so that is what we replaced it with. Had to send back due to lights not working out of the box and they took care of that with no problem.

I have purchased 3 of these. Great lights so far. They are not super bright, but will allow you to see your way through a home or business in the event of a power failure. I know of another business owner who also has these, and the batteries lasted a few years before not holding a charge anymore. So, test them every six months, and you can't go wrong at this price!

I bought these because I was looking for two LED lights to have for bedtime reading. We are trying to cut down on EMF in bedroom. These give a great white light that make reading easier for older eyes. I also love the style. I just may buy another for artwork.
