This bulb is great to turn a regular lamp into night light for a toddlers room. Would be good for stairway lights that you just want to light but don't need it bright.

One has a much tighter pattern than the other due to being hand blown so they do not look like a pair. If you only need one, you will be thrilled or if they aren't side by side. It took me a while to decide which umbrella light to order. I saw this one and it looked good, but the price seemed almost half of some of the others available on Amazon and I took that to mean fewer features or lower quality. I was also torn as to whether I wanted one that had light pointing up as well as down. This key feature (for me) was not indicated very clearly, even on other product web sites, but upon closer scrutiny of the zoomed images, it looked like there were LEDs on the top of the light as well, so I decided to take a chance, plus it was still one of the cheaper models. It turns out my gamble paid off, there are 8 bright, white LEDs on the top of the light that can turned off independently from the downward facing LEDs. Unfortunately, there is no setting to have just the upward facing lights on. They are either off, or on at the same time as the other white LEDs. You cannot have them on when the amber LEDs are being used, so it isn't perfect but I'm pretty happy with it overall. If I really want upward lighting only, I'll flip it upside down.
The dimmer feature is great. After you turn the lights on, you press on the ON switch again and hold, and the light will begin to dim. Release to set the dimming. Next time you turn the light on it will be back to full brightness.
The pole size adjustment was different than I thought, but it works ok. In the pictures you see 4 knurled, rubber grips in the center of the light. To adjust for a larger pole, you keep removing rubber grips until it fits. the piece that the grips slide onto is also rubber, so it will still grip to the pole, but will make the light slightly off-center.
Overall, it seems very well constructed and solid for it's price, however, the plastic used for the main body is very hard and seems like the type that would crack easily if dropped. For an outdoor item, I think it would be better off with a softer plastic that bounce rather than chip or crack. Lastly, I'd recommend getting some rechargeable AA batteries for it. It will last quite a while on 6 new batteries, but if you use it a lot, or accidentally leave it on overnight (doh) you will be putting quite a few batteries in the landfill, plus the cost of the batteries.
I'm very pleased with it and would highly recommend it to anyone needing some extra outdoor light. I'm tempted to get another one and just attach it to a pole next to the grill.

** About the abrupt end to the video: The file size was just a bit too large, so I had to crop the end off. Nothing was really missed, I was just showing how the actual bulbs themselves can be turned or tilted in order to light up different areas. They're like swivel lights. Very cool. I think this light is much better than I could have hoped for at that price. I like it so much that I almost bought another one, even though we have only one umbrella in the yard. Just this week, we had to replace some of the water pipes in our home, and I actually had this light attached to a small wooden spindle pole so I could see what I was doinghands free. I love this thing. Great buy, very pleased.

I bought this product hoping that it would fit the bill. It has. Even though it takes 6 AA batteries, it's well worth the price. (Rechargables work well with it, too.) Although it has turned cold here, and we don't go out on the patio so much right now, our power has been knocked out twice so far this season, and this light was a godsend. Much better than candles or lanterns to cook by. =) It was even bright enough to read by without having to turn the little LEDs on the top on at all. Worked well when the tornadoes hit and knocked the power out again. Still the same batteries and have used a total of approximately 18 hours with no signs of the batteries getting weak. Nice light, just wish it was a tad bit brighter (I have the over 50 eyes). Other than that, I love the light. It fits the pole perfectly, and shines down at a nice angle. It gets the job done. It also has the option to give off a nice low yellow glow for just hanging out if no activities are taking place.

I purchased one of these about 6 months ago on a closeout sale from a local Fortunoffs store. It was good at first, with the exception that there is a lot of glare from the sides because the LED's are not recessed far enough. Other than that it ran cool and provided ample light for my needs. The length of the goose neck was not a problem and it supported the head well at a variety of angles without sagging. The problem is that it lasted less than 100 hours. The LED's began failing one row of 4 at a time till now only 1 LED flickers when you turn it on, the remaining 19 are off. Just before posting this review, I sent an e-mail to Adesso to see what they can do about it. Had it not failed, I would have given it 4 stars (I deduct 1 star for the side glare problem).
Here is the follow up:
This is a follow up to the review I wrote a few days ago. I just spoke to Kavita Bora, who is a customer service manager for Adesso, Inc. about my "eternity" lamp lasting less than 100 hours. Her response was that they offer no warranty on their items to the end user at all. There is no warranty registration card that comes with the item for this reason. She admitted that they often receive defective merchandise from their manufacturer in China and they only do returns to the retailers they do business with. The customers only recourse is through the retailer they purchaed the item from, the manufacturer, Adesso, Inc. will not stand behind the product at all. I cannot recommend anyone buy this product, or any other Adesso, Inc. product for this reason. I would like to lower my rating from 2 stars to 1 star, but I can't figure out how to do that.

I have to agree with the previous review. This was a great lamp for the first month that I had it. However, a single row of LEDs has begun to flicker and after reading the previous review, I am aware of what is to come. An attractive and functional lamp that I bought on sale from Levenger dot com. Within a few months, unfortunately, the LEDs began to fail one by one. Then the diffuser fell out of the fixture. Another unhappy user. Really like the lamp, but the rows of LED's started to flicker after a few months, and now 50% of them have stopped working and the remaining ones flicker so much that impossible to use for reading. Seller says bulbs are not covered by warranty which may be fine for an ordinary lamp but ridiculous for an LED lamp as no easy way to replace them!!!Avoid unless you want to pay $10/month for a reading light which is what I calculated mine ended up costing me.

These lights really are beautiful. I bought them to be a night light for my girls' room, and it works beautifully for that. My girls love them. However, it came missing one plastic flower, and for the price I paid, I would expect a few extra flowers along with a few extra bulbs. However, it didn't come with either. I will contact the mfr. and see what they say. If they don't send me free replacements, I will return this set and buy another of the same set.
I gave 4 stars because I believe they are expensive for what you get, and it should have come with extra parts.
OK, I did contact the mfr, and they are shipping me an extra plastic flower. It says right on the box "permanent LED lamps," so the bulbs are not replaceable and therefore no extras are needed in the box.
Also, these are much less expensive when purchased directly from LED Lights Unlimited, but when you factor in the shipping, they are less expensive on Amazon. But if you are buying many sets, it may be cheaper to buy direct from the company.

Ok, maybe I shouldn't write a review while I'm slightly agitated, but one of my light strings is missing a plastic flower that covers the pink led light. The result is like a missing tooth in an otherwise pretty smile. I contacted Amazon, and they were very helpful as usual. I should be contacted by the seller, hopefully...soon.
Another reviewer had the same issue, but I figured it was probably a fluke. I don't know how many of these light strings the seller ships, but for the price they might go ahead and check them before sending them out.
Besides the missing flower these lights are very pretty. A bright pink led light with a pink pliable plastic cherry blossom covering it (a bit smaller than expected). I was very happy to find non Christmas decorative led lights as they let off no heat and cost virtually nothing to run compared to regular string lights. They should really give my living room a nice calming atmosphere during spring/summer evenings....as soon as the replacement flower arrives that is. :)

I wanted to update my review. Originally, one of the light strands I ordered came missing one plastic flower. I was able to contact the sellers very easily, and they sent out an entire new strand of lights without requiring the old ones to be returned. This was nice and unexpected, as I only requested a replacement flower. The replacement lights came very quickly. I have to say that these lights are absolutely gorgeous in my living room. It's so relaxing to turn off the big lights and enjoy the pink glow. Highly recommended and worth the cost!Old review:

Beautiful color, and the flower petals made for a richer looking tree. Before I even begin my review I'm one of those folks that HATES clutter with a passion. I'm also big on conservation of resources, both natural and financial so I am stingy as hell when it comes to form, function and price.
The lamp when it arrived is simple, of good quality/design and function. It takes up little space on my desk and serves it's purpose. LET THERE BE LIGHT! Combined with it's LED use, I'm saving some pennies along the way. It can also be adjusted however to better suit the space and provides quite a large aura of light when on. I've seen other LED desk lamps that either light only a smaller space or worse yet, have a strange color hue when turned on.

Was putting in a gate at the end of our driveway, and wanted to have low voltage lighting illuminate the area so it's not so dark at night. I put a pair of these about 9 inches or so off the ground in a pillar wall on either side of the gate. The light is warm, like incandescent bulbs, but these only use 4 watts each and put out lots of light, similar to a 40 watt conventional bulb. This means when hooked up to a transformer that turns on at dusk, they can stay on most the night without using much energy. Greatly improves safety and security.
The fixtures themselves are solid, thick metal (either cast aluminum or brass)very strong, easily installs into rough masonry without worries of damage. The covers are a frosted glass that don't produce glare. They have a weatherstripped seal around the glass. They comes with lots of hardware for various mounting. I put these recessed inside a cinder block wall, screwed the backs into the cavity, and cemented/stucco'd around them. They look really good.
These are nothing like the cheap solar lights you find in hardware stores or the cheap low voltage lights; this is a first-class quality light. They are expensive and should sell for much less in the future, but I needed to get the work done now and decided to invest in LED to avoid paying the electric company in the long term.

i settled on these after a bunch of online research among RV forums, Amazon, etc.. I've been looking for a while for a reasonably price LED to replace all of the overhead incandescent bulb in my popup camper. I have tried many others, but these are the brightest I have found and for $5 each is a great deal. Most of the bulbs I have purchased in the past have been way too dim. The last bulbs I purchased were same configuration as these with the 5050 SMD LEDs and were rated at 288 lumen but cost $15 each. These bulbs put off just as much light as the $15 blubs and also put off more light than the incandescent bulbs they were replacing. The color is also very similar to the incandescents. Other advantages are the very low heat output and low power consumption. Buy these bulbs you wont regret it. Just pay attention to the size to make sure they will fit your application. We have a small RV, and the incandescent lights that were standard put off too much heat, too much light, and drew too much power. These give off a little different light than incandescent. Not bad...just different, and not a whole lot different. These are warm white, and we're not seeing that blue tint effect we've seen with cool white LED's. They're not quite as bright, and for our purposes that is just fine. They appear to be very well put together. They fit into the base and housing of the stock RV light fixture with no modifications. My wife loves that she can easily read by these lights, I love that they don't drain the battery. I think I might have been able to get by with a 15X5050 bulb. The color isn't as yellow as the bulbs they replaced by very natural.

Jasco Products customer service is terrible
Bought for the kids' rooms, about 2 years ago and they no longer hold a charge. The flashlight portion no longer works. The nightlight works as long as it is plugged in, but for $13+ you can buy lots of night lights.
Called Jasco Products, they manufacture these with the GE brand name on them, but they offered ZERO solution.
These have a 1 year warranty so don't waste your money. GE needs to step up and protect their brand since Jasco Products is ruining their GE brand with inferior products.

Completely agree with other reviewer. After about a year, the flashlight stopped holding a charge, which makes this unit essentially worthless. Only the tiny LED nightlight bulb still works. A Nice Safety DeviceI have several of these in my house and business in key locations. I have been using them for years and am very happy with them. I even have given them away as gifts.
I also have several of the professional emergency lights as well. The big kind that you see in restaurants.
These little lights throw quite a bit of light of course not as much light as the big ones but they don't cost a hundred dollars a piece and you can put them all over the place if you like. These little lights actually stay on longer than the big ones do. A few of them have provided light for over 12 hours before needing recharging.
They throw enough light to do the job and they double as very effective automatic night lights.
It is true that they take up the whole out let but I solved that by buying some $1.50 out let 3fers so I still have two outlets available.
It is also true that these lights only last about 2 yeas but the big expensive ones last about the same.
I have a big automatic generator that takes 3 minutes or so to come on line during a power failure and these lights are great for automatic and instant light when a power failure occurs.
I often recommend these to my friends.

Wedge Base Socket Reviews
I purchased these for our backyard landscaping project. I used these on top of the paver block columns for general light, an idea I got from our local Menards store. Very happy with them so far. My only concern, as with any outdoor lighting, would be how the contact between the bulb and wedge holds up. It appears to be copper, good for conduction, my only concern is whether they will corrode? New now, we'll see how they are in a couple years.

These are a little pricy but I appreciate not having to find and buy a tiny bracket then mount it to the connector, plus trying to attach leads to the connector. This little unit gave me something to mount it with plus the attached leads made it easier to attach my cable to it without having to attach directly to the connector. I also bought plain connectors which I had to wire and find a way to mount them myself. After having gone thru that ordeal I really appreciated having these connectors already wired and mounted to a bracket. I used them to make some low voltage landscape lights out of old repurposed solar yard decor and a few other unique ideas I came up with as well out of other odds and ends I had for yard decor. Over and under cabnit accent LEDs are awesome, looks sooo good, tapes pulling away a bit tho, like others mentioned. Tape says 3m, but I think the heat from LEDs, tho low, affect the adhesive proformance overtime. Also wouldn't mind if they were a bit brighter since it has a dimmer, bright enough tho. This light is much more impressive than it looks in the picture. It is well-built and looks majestic in our front hall. We have 8' high ceilings and had a hard time finding a light that wasn't on a chain that would still be impressive when visitors first enter our house. This fits the bill. The height is perfect, it doesn't hang too low (a standard door will still swing open under it) yet it is substantial enough to catch your eye and it just looks right. Ours arrived well packed and with no damage. It took me about 15 minutes to install and I had no problems.
