I am a person that never sleeps at night and when my husband and I travel, I like to take along a book light to read with so I won't disturb him, (or his snoring!).Anyway....I have tried so many book lights, and have found if I like it for hardback, it won't work for paper, or it never really gives the light I need without constant manipulation of the light, the book or me.

Well, I have found that light. This itty bitty slim booklight is exactly what they promised. It fits on all three size books, hardback, trade, and paper, and it is so lightit doesn't make the book top heavy. The double little bulb lights both pages, there is no obstruction when turning pages like in some of the lights, and it is so slim and lightweight, it is great to throw in a purse or briefcase for travel. I was willing to pay the price based on the rave reviews, the travel-friendly collapsible design, the flat base (so you can also use it as a bedside lamp while rummaging in the dark) and the spine clip, but the gooseneck was not long enough for the light to cover all of both pages of even a normally small paperback, and the light was not bright enough to compensate and I generally use these lights in very dark bedroom situations, not in low-light situations like evening train rides where it might do fine. After trying 5 different lights of varying manufacturers, designs and prices, I ended up going with the $12 version of the Mighty Bright LED light. I'd rather have the spine clip than the cover clip, but my 48 year old eyes need the extra brightness that none of the spine clip LED versions seemed to be able to achieve. It's hard to believe this is such rocket science. IF Zelco added an inch to this light and made it brighter, it'd be worth any price they named!

This light works great and is very respectful to those around you. It is a bit pricey, but it really does the job on any kind of book. I read some reviews that didn't like the quality of the piece, mostly regarding the construction and plastic battery door and whatnot. I understand those concerns, and concur to some degree. Having said that, I have used mine commuting roughly in NYC for several weeks, tossing it into my bag and pockets without any injury whatsoever. I would definitely recommend this light to the picky book reader, I've used a lot of lights and have not found its equal. It is pricey, but worth it. The only things keeping it from 5 stars would be the battery door and the price.

I have an obssession with reading late at night. If the book is good I won't be able to put it down until 3 or 4 AM. My wife was constantly complaining about me waking her up and bothering her sleep so I figured I could use a personal light.

I got this because it had a favorable review at Slate

and immediately agreed with the review. The light is LED which should last pretty much forever, I've been using it for the past month on the same set of 3 AAA batteries and it's still going strong.

It fits snugly over the spine of the book and so far managed to fit & light any size book I was reading at the moment (it feels slightly looser on paperbacks). It doesn't require any adjustments when you flip pages which is a plus since most book lights will requires so adjustments on page turns.

Construction is pretty strudy and it slips into a very slick carrying case that you can stick anywhere. and its very light so you almost don't feel the added weight when you hold the book. the battery cover is a little flimsy and may require jingling.

But the best part is that it light the book and the book only. the light sits on top of a tiny crane that you can adjust to make sure the entire pages is lighted adquedately and that nothing else is lighted.

Excellent product, other than the battery cover its perfect.

UPDATE: one more issue I found is that it's very hard to tell when the light goes dim. I use it daily and it goes a little dimmer every day. When it gets hard to read the bottom of the page, it's time to change the batteries

I received this book light for X-mas and I absolutely love it!! It works great with hardcover and paperback books. You are able to light both pages at the same time which is hard to do with most book lights. I also found that this light is very comfortable to use with paperback books and it doesn't weigh them down.

This book light is definitely worth the price!! I've used other LCD lights in the past that hardley light up the page and the clip seems to fit awkwardly on paperback books. This light will fit any book that has a spine on it and give you the proper amount of light without disturbing others.

This light comes with a case and is very portable. It will easily slip into a purse or pocket or you can keep it attached to your book.

The lamp I received said nothing about neither TrueColor nor TC10002,

but was in fact an OttLite 13wHW model T13330.

Any PL13 bulb with G23 2-pin base should work;

one pays a premium for the OttLite name

and better color rendering index (CRI).

Amazon sells a pack of 4 Feit PL13 bulbs for

less than one of these.

As with other fluorescent bulbs, lifetime rating

is based on continuous duty. Per Wikipedia,

Amazon has a great price for this. I found this exact same bulb at Michaels and used a 40% coupon to pay for it, but wound up returning it to Michaels and purchasing it from Amazon instead because even with the 40% off it was much more expensive at Michaels than Amazon.

Be sure to order the correct type of 13-W bulb for your ott-lite. They now have 2 types, 1 has a magnetic ballast and 1 has an electronic ballast. Here is some info from ott-lite:

Yes, the daylight-like quality of light is very good, but the bulb life is nowhere near the 10,000 hours claimed for it. In my experience, the bulb lasted about 500 hours, then began rapidly flickering on and off continuously.

The first time I tried to replace the old bulb, I ordered two of them on line and when I received them is when I found out that these "U" shaped bulbs can have different pin configurations. I had purchased the 4-pin one and that's how I realized that I needed the 2-pin one, which is this one, which is the one I'm very happy with.

Ott-lite makes great lamps, but do pay attention to the specific bulb you are replacing because at least with the 13W, if you purchased your lamp after 2008 (when the bulb should not need replacement already, I agree, but it dimmed inexplicably so I thought I'd at least sort out whether it was the lamp or the bulb), it needs a type E bulb ... but Joann Fabric, where we bought the lamps, and Amazon, amazingly, only sell the type A bulb, or an unlabeled bulb, but definitely not a type E as it clicks and flickers and glows red hot to the point we figure it will just burn itself out! If you have an older lamp, the type A is fine, mind you. But if the base of your lamp or the bulb you are replacing has a capital E, beware!

Bought this a little ways back. Have two identical flashlights to test batteries. One of the batteries goes dead without using it in 3 -4 days. The charger may not work properly either. Only one time did the charge light go to green. Otherwise it goes from red to orange. The one bad battery may be preventing it from detecting a full charge thus preventing the green light. This is a case is you get what you pay for so don't expect top quality. It's a crapshoot.

I am not pleased with this light. Even for $12, it is not the best made light. The cylinder material is thin. No question. I have serious reservations as to just how waterproof it is because the tiny gasket on the back isn't thick enough to come into contact with the back cap so basically the threads are what will offer it's water proof capabilities. There is no gasket on the front and due to the design of the zooming head feature you can't get the head to tighten down on the body with any force. if you torque down on it the zooming part just spins. I've been using this light during my travels for the last three days and I'm very pleased with it. Indoors at its widest lense setting it throws a delightfully even circle of light. Tonight I took it outside and when I zoomed in on a target 80 feet away it lit it up surprisingly well. The only drawback I found is that you can't stand it on its nose because the lense protrudes more than the body.

These were very easy to install and setup, although if it hasn't rained for a while or the ground is very hard, be careful pounding the plastic stakes into the ground, if you can't push them in by hand. The lights are very bright and on normally sunny days stay lit a very good amount of time. Additionally, they've lasted the winter well.

The Product Description after the Production Description-From the Manufacturer is correct, they are a swirled plastic lens (which actually makes a very nice pattern)...although the part from the manufacturer does seem to be incorrect, none of the exterior parts are glass other than the solar panel(I assume).

Every time I come home and it is dark and these lights are on, I always think about how cool they are and how happy I am that I purchased them (in March 2012).

These solar path lights are still going strong and very bright. Multiple times throughout the summer, they have still been going strong at 4 and 5 am. Up keep is very easy, as I've only had to clean them twice since purchasing. The stakes sit low enough to the ground (if you put them in far enough) that the lights can simply be lifted up for mowing. I still love these lights (brightness, appearance, and especially the swirl pattern made by their light) and if we ever needed more, I'd certainly buy more of them. There aren't too many things that I've purchased that still make me as happy as they do that I purchased them.

This was just what I was looking for. An inexpensive but strong IR flashlight to compliment my Gen 1 NV Goggles. My guess is that its 850nm, not too visible to the human eye. More like a faint red glow. But in the NV, its really strong. Light weight and well build.

I have the normal WF-502B, and its a good product for the price.

Took a while to get to me (from China I think). But overall, a very good buy.

Oh I got it from "Highly Inc" that seller was good. I tried getting it elsewhere and it didn't work out so well.

I'm a fan of Ultrafire / Cree LED products so when I saw they also made infreared LED's, it got my attention. I have two night vision goggles, but when purchasing them years ago, was disappointed at the lack of actual night vision capability these goggles gave out. After doing some research, I learned that it was the infrared source that determined how good your night vision goggles worked, and the factory built in ones they came with frankly were terrible.

I took a shot at purchasing this 3w led, already being familiar with the Wf-502b frame using XML-T6 white light led. As soon as it arrived, I put an 18650 battery in and clicked the switch... wow! The whole reflector lit up red. I'm not talking flashlight red, but infrared red, like you see on those clear plastic led's. It was still daytime, so I couldn't test its brightness/capabilities yet.

Night came, and I took out both my night vision goggles and this Ultrafire 502b infrared flashlight. I turned on the night vision, then once focused up high on a tree at the edge of the fence, I clicked this baby up. Bam! Astonished once again. This infrared light lit up the whole tree. I aimed it at the neighbors tree, now about 2 acres away, it had same result. I was seeing further than I have ever seen with stock built-in night vision infrared source.

Because of this new powerful infrared flashlight, I'm able to finally use the night vision goggles for the purpose I originally bought it for. Cree astonishes once again. First with their XML-T6 led's, and now with the IR led's.

I will be taking this out hunting this weekend and using it to scout the field at night without alerting the critters. I rate this one of my top 3 purchases I have ever made on Amazon and am more than please with the product.

I will try to take some pictures when I come back from being out in the field. It's going to be difficult because cameras pick up infrared light as regular light on screen.

Note to other customers:

The customer, samuel clements who also purchased this product must either have faulty night vision goggles of received a faulty version of it from the seller. The led fits the description of 850nm, which is infrared wavelength. Blacklight wavelength is 390-410nm. This baby glows faint red to the naked eye. The only time it glows purple is when using a camera phone to look at the led. Using proper night vision, this baby shines like a regular flashlight in the view, without the actual white light on the outside.

Bought this one to replace a streamlight infrared flashlight I bought that burned up in less than 2 weeks. The streamlight was $80+ and the ultrafire was about $22. The ultrafire is still going strong 2 1/2 months later. Some of the other reviews say that it is not infrared and they would be mistaken. I use it with an ATN 390 NVRS and it works great up to around 120', gives a good clear radius of light illuminating my entire field of vision from my scope's perspective. I use it mostly for shooting rats and any other little vermin trying to make themselves at home in my garbage cans.

Coming from a flashaholic, this is my "current" favorite light. It is bright, even brighter than my Olight SR90 intimidator. The Olight is more of a thrower, and thus illuminates farther than the TM15, but to my eye not as much total light. What I love about the TM15 is that it is very small. Quite amazing how much light comes out of a package that is so small. I like the user interface too. Takes a little bit of getting used to though. Very pleased so far.

This thing has some hype from the manufacturer, and some favorable reviews on respectable forums [eg candlepowerforums]. So, does it live up?

Oh. Hell. YES.

For intense, detailed, knowledgeable technical review and comparison to other Nitecore lights, see the review by "selfbuilt" on candlepowerforums at . That guy is the best flashlight reviewer in the world. The rest is just my own personal experience/opinion so far.

Exterior Design: It's thick enough to hold the 8 CR123 cells or 4 of the 18650s. But it still feels good in the hand...not so thick that you feel like you might drop in. And it's short. I actually like the length pretty well in everyday[night] use. From photos it looks like the short body puts the switch in an awkward spot that would result in accidental switching. Not so, at least for me.

Operation (switch): The switch takes a little getting used to, because the half-push (very similar to slr camera shutter release buttons) is the one you want most of the time. And then to turn the light off you hard/full push. In everyday[night] use, I find myself mashing down first, which blinds the holy hell out of anything in the beam direction [because that's "turbo" mode at 2400 lumens]. Then I remember to just soft push and get a regular amount of light [from memory of the last soft push setting]. After that it seems "intuitive" to soft push for toggling through brightness levels. Then to turn it off it's still takes an active thought to remember that the hard push will turn it off.

Brightness: Oh. My. GOD. On turbo, it's simply amazing. And it's very "throwy", ie it projects a relatively narrow beam that projects a very long distance. I love illuminating the opposite bank of the lake with it. Probably annoying the hell out of anyone over there. It's also superb at illuminating trees from 0 to hundreds of yards away. On lower levels, you get what you ask for...the 2 higher levels are actually quite bright. For simply walking on a path/trail, the lowest level is plenty.

Haven't actually camped with it yet. Also haven't: submerged it in water, frozen it, heated it, exposed it to rain, sleet, snow, or wind; or exposed it to tyrannasaurus or other megafauna. Will update once these are complete.

Amazon does a good job of describing the features of the light so I won't go into that. Just make sure you use the longer 18650 batteries. I made the mistake of ordering the wrong ones. I currently use the Nitecore 3400 mh 18650 batteries and they work great. The light has really good spot beam and the LED light is able to penetrate darkness much better than candescent bulbs. Im able to fit it in my pocket or use the nice holster that it comes with. Its comes standard with me on fishing trips and camping trips. It operates while being submersed in ocean water not rinsed with fresh water for days. I really like the cool blue button glow and the charger. Overall a solid Chinese product.

I have used timers to control various electrical functions in the houses I have owned during the past several decades. Two problems always plagued me, with no easy answer: (1) how to control flourescent light fixtures, which today include replacing incadescent bulbs with CFLs; and (2) how to use a timer with a 3-way circuit. I purchased about 20 of these matching remote switches a little over a year ago, and now, a year later, they are all still working perfectely. After spending a few days with a tester determining how my wiring was routed, the house has several 3,4, and even 5-way swithes, they installed easily, and look great as well. I also install severel other types of Leviton controls I purchased from Amazon, and they all work as advertized. The changable color covers, there were three I believe, are sturdy, and swithcing them was simply. I do use the Z-Wave capability in my home automation system, but they function equally well manually....Great Product.

Does the job, has a nice LED indicator to show if it's on or off, can be used in 2 way or 3 way, just be sure to get the proper remote switches for 3 or 4 way applications you only use one of these, which is attached to the load, and VP0SR remotes for the rest.

A bit pricy, as others mentioned a little bulky so you may have to mush your wires in a bit. I really like the way the wire attaches, it keeps the conductive bare metal to a minimum and provides a nice tight clamping surface. Good stuff!

I did a lot of research to find just the right type of switch. I wanted a LED indicator for when it is on and the switch to be digital so that I could later hook it smart home accessories. This switch fit the bill.

I purchased the color change kit (brown in my case). The covers are easy to change.

These do not wire up like a traditional switch. After I read the wiring diagrams I was able to install these in an older home and only had to add a neutral wire in the box.

I did not find a better switch, but would have preferred if the LED indicator was in an easier to see location. If you are directly in front of the switch the switch itself blocks your view of the LED light so you have bend down to see if the light is on or off.

These switches are also significantly bulkier than a standard switch so space may get tight in your box.

If using for 3-way or more applications you will need this primary switch (where your lead is to the light) and then matching remote switches for the rest. You can not use primary switches for everything.

Well, in few words: I don't know if the product is good.

I bought a lot of aube and lutron switches, which worked perfectly.

With all the leviton switches, however, they didn't work. And worst, their support center didn't even answered my questions.

I paid for a technician, and he didn't know the problem. Now I'll have to pay for another one, until the problem is solved.

I bought six of these bulbs to replace 20 watt tree spotlights for landscape lighting. At first, I was happy that they put out such a great amount of light. They're a little cooler light color than I wanted but was happy that I was only consuming 9 watts vs. 20watts per tree.

I bought all six bulbs in July 2012. As of September 2012 three of the six have failed. They started to flutter and dim, now they are completely dead.

I've attempted to contact customer support but I keep getting the same response to buy more lights. They will not honor the three year warranty they list in their website.

The product discription lists 100,000 operating hours, however, I got less than 1,000 hours out of mine.

I bought three of these bulbs and and was very happy. But then one died after a month. I thought it was nothing till the second and third one died all with in less than two months. And return policy is only one months of buying them. So I wouldn't recommend these bulbs.

Bought these to replace three 50w halogens to save energy and reduce the amount of heat in the room. Light color is very clear white more so than the halogens, and somewhat cooler color temperature to my eye.

Light output seems slightly less than the 50's, and the beam is a bit narrower. It's hard to find an exact replacement for 50w halogens, and some are quite expensive. These were reasonably priced, and are reasonably close to what I was hoping for.

Edit: changing to three stars from four one of the three lamps I purchased two months ago burned out. Guess you get what you pay for...

2nd edit: the second lamp has now failed. Dropping another star.

Bought 70 of these about 4-5 month ago and 50% no longer work.

I am not trying to return them but Amazon tells me that it is over 30 days so I cannot return it under Amazon warranty and the original vender is not where to be found.

Manufactured by by Ledcreelight. They are Sold by led.factory and Fulfilled by Amazon.

Amazon seems to want to wash their hands off and pass me to the manufacturer. This is crazy.

I bought 2 of these bulbs as sample buy along with many other LED brands, and this is the first one that has failed after only less than 2 months of usage. They were bright at first but then became very very dim. Kudos to Amazon/seller for honoring the return though minus shipping and stocking fees so I really did not get close to the half of full credit. Will see how long the 2nd bulb will last but I will not be buying this brand again. LED bulbs cost more so you would expect them to last a lot longer. I have bought other LED brands that have lasted over 1 year now without issues.

These LED retrofit kits are great. The only hitch I had was the old-work cans I installed had nowhere to attach any of the three grounding methods mentioned in the instructions, so I ended up having to drill my own hole and screw the ground screw in that. And screwing that in was a challenge, because you can't get a screwdriver at right angles inside a 5" can, so I had to use my pliers to laboriously spin the screw head through each turn.

The lights get pretty hot while running, as you'll find if you need to pull one down.

The light they give is a great color; not so yellow as an incandescent, not so pale and dead as a daylight CFL.

But watch out if you plan to dim them: non-LED dimmers won't turn them on reliably below about 60%, though if you turn on at full and then dim, you'll be fine; and LED dimmers might not be compatible. I tried this with several revs of the Lutron C.L. Diva dimmer. The version assembled in St. Kitts wouldn't dim very low, even with the dimmer dial spun as far as I could. And the newer version assembled in China dims them way down, but there's an unsettling full-strength flash 90% of the time I flip the lights on, with both of the dimmers of this revision I tried.

So, these lights: excellent if you just plan to switch, not so hot if you want to dim.

These LED lights fit in the 4" Juno IC1 and TC1R cans I used in my basement finishing project. They installed with no hassles.

They are on a Leviton 6674-P0W 150-Watt LED and CFL/600-Watt Incandescent Dimmer. They don't dim very much on this dimmer, however, I hadn't had time to play with the dimmer settings. They do dim as is, but maybe about 50%.

The lights are very bright and very white. They take some getting used to. I have 3 of them in the new office over my desk. They are great for the office and really light up the work area, but they are way too white to put them in the Home Theater or family rooms.

These lights do allow you to get the same amount of light from a 4" can as you would with a 65W incandescent in a 6" can.

If Copper Lighting made these exact same units with a more natural color temp, I'd but them for the all my can lights.

Great light. Put 4 of these in a 10x12 ceiling and they are almost too bright. Color is perfect and dimmability is good. Without the dimmer, it would be way too bright for a bedroom. Should have only used two (not 4).

I bought this on a whim because my little guys were so fascinated by lights. They love the way it changes color but the mode I use the most is the automatic shut off after 15 minutes. I lay them in their cribs at night with it on and they are asleep before it shuts off. They are just starting to hold things and like to hold it too. I also use it as a light on the changing table for night time changes.

great little night light. Can be set to fade to "off" after 15 minutes or left on until turned off. Only one down side: my 2 year old figured out how to cycle the colors/on/off/etc within 5 minutes, so the button will probably wear out very quickly. lol

The purpose of this review is to save someone the hassel I have experienced with these crappy Mobi Glomates. I have owned both the rechargeable and the Junior with replacement batteries. Both are crap. I say this due to build quality. These are meant for children but the second they are knocked off a dresser or fall off of a bed, they are broken. The internal parts are easily knocked lose and that's the end of the Glomate. I just bought this for my daughter and two weeks later it is junk and in the trash.

I love it, however my son used to have the tykelight Jr and I thought this was that when I bought it as a replacement. Well sometimes he randomly asks for the older one, which broke. I priced that one out today but it is $30 right now and I am not sure why?! This one is really a lot better. My 3 yr old son has thrown it in anger multiple times (because he hates bedtime/naptime) and it still hasn't broken. So clearly, it's very durable.
