Very nice item. I ordered the Yantouch Jellyfish with two other items, the Phillips Living Colors 2 and the Lzr Sphere Light Projector from Unique Gagets & Toys. The Jellyfish is my favorite of the three. The colors are great, and very adjustable. There is saturation and hue gradients which allow the Jellyfish to be set to an astounding variety of colors and brightness. The flow setting moves the colors through the spectrum in a preset configuration that reminds me of a color wheel. Finally there is a preset which includes several colors at one time, a sort of rainbow. The Jellyfish is not bright enough to read by, nor can it be clearly seen by daylight. It does not cast light into a room, or onto the ceiling. It is made of sturdy plastic which allows the cool temperature LED style lights inside to cast their glow onto the shell that encases them, creating a mellow and attractive color scheme to be seen. The weakness of this item is its touchpad the interface between the user and the results. Either mine is problematic or the method is. My impression is the design is weak, not my specific item. It is supposed to respond to touch commands, the point touched determining the color result, the duration of the contact and direction of the movement are supposed to effect changes in the saturation of the color, and the type of results you get are responsive to this input. In reality it strikes me as fidgety and more random in outcome it is determined by these input commands. Nevertheless this is a great little night light. If I had kids I would give it to them, since I don't I get to keep it.

I got this light as a christmas gift and I love it! I can't stand being in a pitch black room so I usually leave a small night light plugged in. But most of the time they are just too bright [I have a very small room, so it doesn't take much to light up my room]! With this light I can pick any color in any hue, light or dark. You are able to pick a color and either turn the brightness up or down which makes this great! Anyone looking for a reading lamp should not buy this, why would you want a colored light to read with anyway? I love that I can pick a different color to fit my mood. i bought this feeling confident it would be great. massive disappointment.to begin, the light is far too dim. it is designed to be pointed at a surface and the surface helps to increase the strength of the light in the room/area. i can't see how this is useful for anything, also i find the colors and rainbow mode ugly. it's still too dark to be useful you will need another light source if you plan to do anything (like reading which is impossible using only this light).
the worst part is, when it is in rainbow mode (fades in and out through the colors) i actually find this really annoying and distracting. it's just not at all pleasant having the colors changing constantly.
the advertising says that it can show millions of colors, which i don't believe. when you scroll through the colors and choose one, it isn't the same tone and hue to the color that you selected. probably the most disappointing thing about this. it doesn't feel like it has a lot of colors. i do graphic design, studied art, am good at creating colors using just red, blue, green paints. i'm sure that this thing doesn't have as many tones of color as advertised.
i'm not sure what to do with this unit now, is it worth the effort to have one of my walls being cycled through a few neon colors? no.
i wanted this as a pretty low light reading lamp and yesterday bought an Artemide tolomeo a color that i'll enjoy.
the pricing is too high for this which has no practical use.

I dropped it once in my driveway just after installing it and now it wobbles back and forth as if something inside has broken.For something theoretically designed to be attached to a police/defensive weapon, it sure didn't take much punishment. I think I'll try the cheap chinese model next at less than one third the price.

I purchased two of these units for my two ASP LeverLoc 21inch tactical batons.Within 30 days or use, both flashlights broke.
Without any actual striking or making contact with the baton ( only taking practice swings in the air ) and occasionally *gently* turning the flashlight on, both units broke in separate places. Plastic is shoddy / cracked with no real use at all.
I spent over $100 and now I have two broken lights.
If this has been a survival situation where a flashlight was needed, I would have died.

Others report problems with it being fragile, but I never had any problems with it over the last couple years of light field use. The one gripe I do have is that it's far too dim for the price. If you just absolutely have to have a light on your baton, do yourself a favor and save up a bit more for the high output version with 240 lumens. Having a flashlight at the end of the baton is welcomed addition. Being able to swing the baton around quickly into action makes the light a brilliant addition. This truly makes the light mounted under the barrel of the sidearm or on the baton a toss up. This light is very rugged and doesn't snag on draw.

I added insulation to our attic to try to reduce our gas bill. We had some non-IC can lights which needed covering. Most of them I covered with Insullite boxes, because they're cheaper. But where the cans were harder to cover due to cramped space/difficult access I used these. They are much easier to work with. They're soft and moldable, but stiff enough to not collapse. They are surprisingly easy to cut with scissors for fitting around wires, etc. and maintain their overall shape. In other words, the cut areas sprang back together even when the Tenmat cover was squished a little. I'm a little concerned because at 9" high, they are only 2" over the can lights, which are 7" tall. But I've got CFLs in everything, so I don't think we're generating much heat. And you might want to know that metal foil tape does not adhere to these very well. But the Tenmat covers stay in place pretty well on their own.Best Deals for Tenmat FF130E Recessed Light Cover
The covers arrived very quickly. They look like a lampshade and were larger than I thought they would be 15" diameter at the bottom and 11" at the top. The covers do need to be large but getting them to fit in some stud spaces can be challenging. Fortunately, they are flexible and cut easily. I sealed up any cuts with metallic duct tape and sealed around the bottom with non-expanding foam. That should stop air infiltration. Then I covered them with fiberglass insulation. Worked well for covering my non-IC cans but I had to work at it because of the can locations. Another review says these are only for IC (insulation contact) rate lights...not true. Right in the product description it says they are for IC and Non IC rated lights.I installed 30 of these on my older non IC lights and had a deep layer of insulation blown into the attic over everything. We noticed an immediate difference and had to turn our pellet stove down to the lowest setting to keep it from being too warm! Also, I have not had any lights overheat and cycle off with these covers.

I had 4 inch Non-IC recessed cans I needed to insulate from attic. Although the Amazon description provides dimensions, there is nothing like having one in hand to size up the installation. I needed a total of 4, but ordered just one first to test fit. This is much bigger than I thought and am glad they are. This model cover fits nicely over my 4 inch cans with enough room to satisfy the safety requirements as spelled out in the installation sheet that came in the box. These covers are not strong enough to support any weight but themselves (plan on rerouting or supporting any flex duct that is in direct path), which makes them easy to install since they are flexible enough to lay over Romex 14/2 wiring without having to cut out a gap. I easily placed the cover over the entire can and wiring(making sure the wiring was snug against the wallboard) and the cover contoured nicely allowing the mastic to cover and secure the cover seams without protest. The cover pretty much stayed where put and even more so when I applied the mastic.

For years, we struggled on how to illuminate our painting over the fireplace. Due to the room dynamics, I did not want to install ceiling mounted track lighting nor install ceiling cans which would effect the thermal break in the ceiling which is also the roof. This was a perfect solution. Since it uses low voltage cable, I could easily hide the low voltage wire in the brick joints as it was routed to the A/C connection. More importantly, my wife loves it and doesn't see the low voltage cable hidden in the brick. As minimizing the power connections to the light source was important to both of us, this was a perfect solution. The only thing I would improve upon would be change the permanent connection from the wire to the lamp (soldered and shrink wrapped) to one that includes a standard 12v disconnect so that the wire could be replaced with a longer or different colored cable. Not all walls are white which would stand out if installed on a bold colored accent wall. I've also replaced the halogen lamp with a LED lamp which works very well and provides similar lumens. Very good product and I'll likely buy more.

I suspect there's a reason for the cheap price of this bulb. I very much doubt it is a full spectrum bulb. The light is "icier," and unlike the original light, it doesn't cast a bluish tinted light that you can see at night. The light also doesn't feel as comfortable for reading.If it isn't full spectrum, the description on the packaging is extremely deceptive. It says it's a replacement for a variety of sunlight lamps, but it doesn't say anywhere that it is actually a full spectrum light. Even more deceptive, it shows a full spectrum rainbow bar, but in small script, it refers only to the light savings compared to a regular light bulb.
If having a full spectrum light is important to you, I don't think you'll be satisfied with this light.

This is an inexpensive replacement for my desk lamp. Bulb is bright and works well. However, it is definitely not the Sunlight spectrum that the original was. This is just white fluorescent.I don't mind too much. Its just a desk lamp.

This review and the three stars are not so much for this particular X-10 device but for X-10 as a system.
X-10 is still just about the cheapest home automation product that exists. However it is not without its drawbacks. Most of these are caused by modern equipment and devices that were not even dreamed of when X-10 was designed.
When it works, it can be wonderful. But the X-10 powerline signaling mechanism was designed in the late 70s. This means it predates switch-mode power supplies (which are universal in home computers and laptops, are used in most modern "power bricks" and "wall warts", and are also used in much other modern gear), WiFi, compact fluorescent lamps, LED lamps, UPSs, and even surge protector power strips.
Most of the above types of devices generate noise on the power line, and this noise can interfere with X-10's signals.
Others actively *filter out* the X-10 signal. It is important to understand that the X-10 signals are sent during the "zero-crossing" period of the AC power waveform. They are weak (low voltage) signals well outside the AC power frequency range.
In other words, when seen in an otherwise pure AC waveform, X-10 signals look like noise! So the noise filters in things like "surge protector" power strips, and even in much electronic equipment, will therefore reduce or even eliminate the X-10 signal! It's not their fault it's what they're *supposed* to do.
And the more surge protector strips you have in your home, the worse this gets. Note that this does not apply only to the equipment that is plugged into the power strip. It also will likely apply to stuff plugged into the same outlet as a power strip, or even to nearby outlets on the same circuit.
As a result of both increasing numbers of electrically noisy devices, and increasing numbers of "surge suppressor" power strips, X-10 has been getting less and less reliable over the years in many users' homes. This has nothing to do with the X-10 modules or controllers. They're the same as ever. It's the other stuff in our houses and this is only going to get worse.
You can have a setup that works perfectly most of the time... and then mysteriously starts ignoring signals from one particular controller. Or one module will start ignoring commands. Later it will just as mysteriously work perfectly again. In my experience these problems are usually caused by a "noisy" device, like a laptop with a particularly noisy power brick, that is plugged in or switched on sometimes and not at other times.
Moving the affected controller or module to another outlet especially one on a different circuit will sometimes help, sometimes make the problem worse. Occasionally, *adding* a particular appliance or lamp to the house will make X-10 work *better*. And so it goes.
Conclusion: For X-10 to work is no longer the "slam dunk" assumption it was decades ago (yes, decades!) when the system was introduced. If you want much more reliable home automation you're going to have to go to something else, like Z-wave. Of course that will be much more expensive, but... life is full of those tradeoffs.

These are extremely useful and very reasonably priced modules. I've used them for a wide variety of tasks such as turning lights on/off, starting/stopping small appliances, even controlling large 1200 watt heaters. I have about six of them, and after several years of service, they're all still functioning. I highly recommend these units!Of course, you need some kind of X10 controller to control them.

Nice to find the three-prong model available after years of using old two-prong RadioShack units. These retain the old look of the white finish, but seem more substantial with the ground prong. I was cuious about the two models listed here, since they had different prices but similar descriptions, so a web search showed the lower model number had the third prong. I bought three because the lamp modules often fail to work with CFL and LED lighting. Although this type of module tends to make a pronounced THUNKwhen it switches, you get used to it in any but the mallest spaces. If this module (or any other X-10 module) doesn't always work or won't work in certain receptacles it is probably due to weak signal strength and/or interference. There are many web sites that explain this and how to remedy the problem. Electronic ballast energy-saving fluorescent light bulbs can render X-10 systems completely inoperative. Some computers, cell phone chargers, battery powered drill chargers, etc. can also cause X-10 to act unreliably. The problem applies to the X-10 system in general, not the AM466 module in particular. The module does make a loud mechanical "clunk" when its internal relay operates. I use several of these to control holiday lighting displays so they all turn on and off with the press of a single button, regardless of their location in the house. A LED light in the $5 to $7 range that works as well as this one has to be worth some kind of gold star. I replaced an 6 volt Xenon Lantern with one of these only it works better much.
I 100% totally don't understand the people spending huge amounts of time finding fault with a device like this and my reaction is get a life. These things are flashlights or devices that I a retired electronics engineer don't see how they can build at this price point much less how good and solid they really are and how well they actually work.
Under no circumstances would I mount one on a Picatinny Rail Mount (even if it fit), or other life/death applications but me I just need a flashlight. A good one that can save me from replacing expensive lantern batteries which this thing does superbly. The only problem is it's so darn small it gets lost real easy. if you can actually count that as a problem....

Flashlight arrived quickly. One reason I picked it was because it was an Amazon Prime item. The flashlight is heavy feeling and seems well made. This little light is a great normal and casual use flashlight. It won't replace a heavy duty spotlight or any other bright spotlight. I don't have any way to measure the lumens but I doubt it is 400 with a AA rechargeable battery (that was to be expected). It does produce a great high beam, a useable low beam, and a decent strobe. The focusing unit is a slide focus (you slide the unit out to tighten the focus and close to loosen it). My unit came undamaged and the button on the bottom isn't a hard button like I've seen in some reviews; it's a bright orange soft click button that only needs to be pressed partially to change modes. The only part I don't like is that when I tighten the focus all the way, it doesn't stay that way. It's not enough to lose a star because I doubt I'll ever be needing a strong, narrow beam when navigating around. I would comfortably compare this light to my Rouge 2 from Radioshack, albeit my Rouge 2 has a higher high mode and lower low mode. However, I'm not a fan of center weighted lights after seeing the (mostly) even circles made by the newer, focusable lights.Edit: I got around to solving the loose focus end problem. I bought some threading tape (that's what Wal-Mart called it) for 97 cents and opened the flashlight. The "tactical" prongs twist off revealing the bare bulb and reflector. That part, too, twists off. This should reveal the battery and the bottom of the bulb connections. You can push out the bulb from the front end and put the tape around the o-ring. Try not to put too much onto the thread because that is a contact point for the negative end of the battery.
Also, I used this flashlight on low to walk around for one hour on a moonless night in the middle of a field. It was very convenient with the high setting, but the low wasn't as good when using the high mode for the first 30 minutes. Aka, the battery doesn't produce a strong light their entire life; as the batteries start dying, the flashlight gets dimmer. This is a double edged sword; when using the high mode for a long time, it slowly dims which makes the low mode slightly unusable. This was using a new, rechargeable rayovak battery. However, the light was noticeably brighter with a 14500 battery. The life of usable light was brought out (when used to walk around again in said field without aid from the moon) to around 1 hour on high. However, after about 45-50 minutes, the low mode wasn't usable anymore.
*Usable light, to me is enough light to clearly picture something from about 10 feet away.

Had some trouble with it. Put it up the flag pole where the cords were and it cut my cord because of high winds. Now we put it lower down below the cording and it works fine. I am very disappointed with this product. I have tried every thing from taking a long device and turning off the light during the day. To buying another so one is able to be on while the other one changes. It is such a shame that it is sold as a solar FLAG POLE ( most stationary poles are at least 20' in height) light. Charges great (TWO WHOLE DAYS) before you actually put it on the pole. Looks wonderful all night long, next night it's not on as long by the third night it might be on fifteen minutes. The Streamlight PolyTAC Flashlight is one of the smallest and brightest crook-neck flashlights on the market.

As a Firefighter in a large City Dept. I rely on my light almost daily. Don't let the size of the PolyTac 90 fool ya ! Cuts through smoke better than some of the big boys !! This is the second one of these I bought. This is the brightest flashlight i own. It fits in your pocket nicely, and has a clip to hold it in place. It has high, low, and flash modes. It does use 2 CR123 batteries, which will last 4 hours or so, longer on the lower power modes.I prefer the yellow, but it does also come in black. There is also a very nice carabiner style clip. I was able to light up the side of my neighbors house from 75 feet away, while he worked on a downspout problem. He was impressed.
I can't say enough about this product. Well made, made in USA. I highly recommend it.

Throws off plenty of light for such a little thing. Only complaint is that the on/off switch doesn't always stay on. A little pricey.
