The information on this product was sparse and when I received it I discovered it was not a bulb that produces light that plants need. Rather it filters out blue light and doing so makes the plant look good. Disappointed.

The first one blew out in 2 minutes. I returned it and got a replacement and it has burned out. It is a snowy day and my seedlings need light. Now I look at the package and read, and research and find out this is called a plant light and sold next to seed starting products BUT it is not a GROW light. Even the package says: it makes plant look greener with its blue tint. GREAT. I want healty growing plants not articificical green appearance for 14.99 plus tax. Save your money and get something that says: provides FULL SPECTRUM OF DAYLIGHT if you are trying to grow anything.

I wouldn't say it's as good as the sun in helping plants grow, but it mimics sunlight better than just about any other lamps I've seen. It is a bit on the larger side of a bulb, so it did not fit in a stand-up lamp with smaller openings, but it fits easily in flood lamp settings and stand-up lamps with wide openings for the bulb. I like that it exudes some heat as well, since Michigan winters do leave the house decently chilly.

I made an illuminated display case with a plexiglass cover and was worried that the heat from conventional festoon bulbs would affect the plastic. These bulbs fit perfectly and generate no heat. My only recommendation is that you pay attention to how the bulbs are facing. you can turn them in the fixtures so they are hardly visible and thereby create a sort of indirect lighting. The other advantage is that in sealed cases, you probably will never have to replace the bulbs in your lifetime.

The brightness rating is accurate and the color temperature is about right at the 4000k that it claims. This LED addresses the problem with LED's and their lack of red output. If there isn't enough red in the light things look sort of washed out. I wish this was available is a slightly warmer temperature such as 3500, that way I could mix it with other bulbs more easily. If you are going to switch an entire room over then it would not be a problem. Overall very good color. I docked one star because there is a slight noise that can be heard only within inches of the bulb. Most of my LED's produce some noise like this one however I do have LED's that are silent and so minus one star. The heat generated is very low, the heat sink design seems good.

I would love to see a 3500k version of this bulb.

I like these lights, or at least the idea of them. I attempted to purchase four of the same lights, but what I ended up getting were four slightly different colored lights. Luckily, amazon was very helpful in remedying this issue. As far as whether I would recommend these, maybe, if you're patient.

Brightness is good, similar to a 40W incandescent. Lights up very fast if dimmer is full up; if you turn it on partially dimmed, it takes a few seconds to come up to the set brightness. Dims smoothly down to about 40-50%, then abruptly goes to about 10-20% brightness. If I turn it off and back on at a dimming setting below the abrupt step, it will not light up; I have to raise the dimmer to 50% or more to get it to light up. If I turn it off and back on at a dimming setting just above the abrupt step, it may or may not light up. The low brightness output below the step is inconsistent; I didn't wait to see if it varied over time. Because of the step in the dimming response, I can't get light between 25% and 40% of full brightness.

Good if you don't need deep dimming; pitiful otherwise.

Can't beat this for the price. Got it for a dimmable touch desk lamp -works like a charm.

Only downside is because LEDs draw so little power, my lamp's off setting still has the LED glowing slightly. I don't think this is the bulb's issue, but rather a product of LED's efficiency.

I installed the Philips Ledino Pendant today over a kitchen table, adding to a collection of Ledino fixtures throughout my house. I've been very pleased with the Ledino line. This pendant was fairly easy to install, and isn't as heavy as some other Ledino fixtures that incorporate glass and solid aluminum. The fixture itself is very thin (but has a pretty large diameter); the thinness makes it almost disappear when looking at it from the side. The light is focused, crisp, and a nice color temperature. It's modern and good looking, and largely disappears into the environment -it has a small visual footprint and the lights don't produce any glare from the sides.

There are a few things you should be aware of if you're considering this fixture.

The photo Amazon has is quite simply wrong. It shows the three support cables holding the fixture from the ceiling mount, but it doesn't show the power cable. A power cable -significantly larger and more noticeable than the steel support cables -wraps its way around the three cables. There is a hole in the center of the ceiling plate where the power cable comes through, and Amazon's photo doesn't even show that hole. Maybe there's a version somewhere that sends power through insulated support cables, but that's not the one Amazon is selling. I don't mind the power cable (the pendant would be far less effective as a light without power, after all), but know that the look will be a bit different than what Amazon is showing.

Also note that the Ledino fixtures are very finicky with dimmers. You need to have a dimmer that is rated for LED lamps, otherwise you'll get loud buzzing and flickering. I had three Philips LED lights bulbs (60-watt replacements) installed in the previous fixture above my kitchen table, connected to a traditional wall dimmer switch. Those Philips light bulbs worked OK with the dimmer, but the Ledino didn't. So if you have an older dimmer, you may need to upgrade it when you install this (or any Ledino) fixture.

This device is smaller than I had pictured it, but it works very well.

The entire device folds up into a small rectangle about 3 inches by 3 inches by 1 inch thick.

The clip is nice and solid and the arms can be adjusted in 2 places.

The device has a dimmer switch that gives infinite adjustment between a fairly low light level and a pretty strong light. The dimmer isn't that amazing quality-wise but you generally will find 1 level that works for you and go with it. Most devices only let you pick between a few discrete levels (usually by only turning on a portion of their multiple LEDs). Hence the dimmer switch is a relatively rare feature and much appreciated.

The LEDS are pretty blueish like on the cheapo 9-LED flashlights for a buck. They aren't nice Nichia 5mm white ones. This isn't a problem for me, but some like a much warmer light.

The arms adjust so that you can turn pages easily without the arm interfering. This is a big deal! Many lights expect you to move them every time you turn a page! Unless you are the slowest reader ever, that is a huge pain.

All in all, Ive been quite happy with it.

The Sylvania Capsylite PAR30 halogen short neck (with adaptors) bulbs Sylvania 14606 PAR30 75-Watt Flood Capsylite Bulb installed in ceiling cans throughout my house in a recent renovation have begun burning out, and I spent a lot of time trying to figure out a more ecological solution that would save on our electric bill. All the halogens are on dimmers so I needed bulbs that dimmed well. My experience with dimmable CFLs is that compact fluorescents don't dim smoothly and have limited life. I ended up focusing on LEDs, bought 3 different models all at approximately the same cost and have concluded the TCP LED14E26P3027KFL TCP LED14E26P3027KFL 2700K LED 14 Watt Dimmable PAR30 Flood fits best. The information below is based on comparing the TCP bulb to this Sunlite 89005 Sunlite L15PAR30/DIM/30K 120-volt 15-watt Medium Base Par30, Warm White Color and the TCP LED14E26P3050KFL TCP LED14E26P3050KFL 14 Watt Dimmable LED Long Neck PAR30 Flood Light Bulb, 5000K. Note that the TCP is part of a line of bulbs that is very easy to figure out. Search the TCP web site for a PDF of their LED PAR30s and you'll get a table showing all bulbs organized by color temperature, listing their wattage, lumens, and flood angle. This "LED14E26P3027KFL" is an LED, 14 watts, fits in a standard socket (E26), is in a PAR30 configuration, puts out 2700K color temperature, and has a regular flood output (FL). All the TCP models can be deciphered the same way by reading the model numbers; those ending in "NFL" have a narrow flood output, closer to a spotlight, which I didn't want.

The comparison is tricky as there are 3 main variables which affect your real world experience (the Sunlite is a 15 watt bulb, the TCPs 14 each, so I don't consider wattage a significant variable among these LEDs):

Lumens: Halogens are very bright, their main selling point. I like bright lights in my kitchen especially. The Sylvania halogens I am replacing are rated at 1130 lumens. No LED (or CFL) is rated that bright. This Sunlite is rated at 900 lumens, slightly brighter than the 800-830 of the TCPs.

Color Temperature: The halogens are 2900K color temp, a warm soft color that is very familiar as it closely matches the incandescent bulbs we all grew up with. The TCP LED14E26P3027KFL is 2700K, and to my eye almost exactly matches the color temp of the halogens. This Sunlite is 3000K, noticeably cooler (i.e. whiter in color, less yellow). The TCP LED14E26P3050KFL, at 5000K temp, is almost white by comparison. It was too harsh for the kitchen where it stands out as quite different from the other bulbs, so I put it in the bathroom, where there is a single overhead can. When the light is on, it looks like outdoor sunlight is flooding the bathroom. It's frankly too harsh a color temp for the kitchen, but tolerable in the bath and I didn't want to bother returning it.

Flood Angle: The halogens I am replacing are standard flood, 40 degree angle. It's easy to see why electricians like them: the lights from the cans spread just enough to evenly cover kitchen countertops with very little dim gaps between one can and the next. Both the TCPs are 40 degree floods, and to me seem to have the same effect as the halogens. Here's where the variables get tricky. This Sunlite is rated brighter at 900 lumens (compared to the TCPs' 830) and it has a noticeably whiter color temp. So on first glance it appears "brighter" than this TCP 2700K flood. The light reflecting off upper kitchen cabinets looked brighter. But on the countertop where I am working and where I need the light, the Sunlite is actually dimmer due to being more dissipated, at 100 degree angle. The 40 degree flood of the TCP 2700K puts more light onto the countertop even with less lumen rating and with a warmer color than the Sunlite. Of course the 5000K TCP would appear the brightest due to its white (almost blue) color, but as noted, it is too much for the kitchen.

One other variable, probably not significant: the TCPs come on instantly, just like incandescents/halogens. The Sunlite oddly comes on by brightening over 2 or 3 seconds from dim to full strength, somewhat similar to how CFLs increase in brightness. It dims just fine, similar to the TCPs and halogens, but has a different feel when the switch is first flicked on.

So I have concluded the TCP LED14E26P3027 is not only the best match for the halogens I am replacing but the best output overall in the kitchen work space. I just ordered 6 more to swap out all the kitchen halogens. I like this Sunlite 89005 but think the flood angle and color output of the TCP fits just a bit better in my kitchen.

Ive searched many places, i ended up buying two of these for a project in the bathroom. Installed them, the first one just shined up the showerwow we loved it, but the second one did not funtion at all, changed them out just to be sure there were no faulty wiring, nope the led just did not work. Contact the seller, they would offer to replace the item so long as i shipped the original back, well. Again 2 of these for $27. Shipping the item back 6.00 buck more. Well that just to much for light bulbs for me. You decide... but keep in mind im not giving up, we love the way these led bulb display light and you may as well.

When this bulb would not work with my X10 light dimmer switch (it would flash rather than turn off), I attached it to a normal light switch. But Unlike other LED bulbs in my home, when I turn this light on, all of my X10 switches stops working. I measured the noise level in my electrical wiring using a Stetzerizer Microsurge Meter and discovered the noise level increases by a factor of 20 when I turned this light on. Also I measured a significant electrical field around the light using a Trifield 100XE EMF Meter. There are some who would consider both meter reading to indicate a health hazard....the readings were well outside the range considered "safe" by the sellers of the meters. I have no idea how well these safety standards are accepted, but I do know that I want my X10 system to work.

I have a bunch of dim PAR20 CFL lights in my office that my landlord installed. They burn out CONSTANTLY. Much faster than any other bulb type I've tried. Thought I'd give the LED bulb a shot...figuring it would be just as dim or worse than the CFL's. It actually makes a clean, bright light. It is a very white spectrum, a little different than other bulbs, but very good to see by. I'll be replacing the other ones with LED's as they burn out.

I used these light bulbs for my stove range hood and they do the trick. Although, I will say that when I used the "low" light setting, the light bulbs seemed to flicker. It isn't too noticable but you can tell. Other than that, the color temperature is very white with a bluish tint. Was expecting them to be a bit yellow-er, but no worries.

Overall, the bulbs serve their purpose and look good!

This guy had no reviews. I was hesitant to buy, but it turn out to be an excellent product. The 10W white LED is very bright. The white color is like the day-time white in regular bulbs. Significant improvement on color and quality over the typical Chinese-made bulbs on Ebay. Fast shipped. I also tried the warm color white. I prefer the warm color over the day-light white.

I needed just a little night light for my bedroom, one that was just bright enough for me to be able to get up in the middle of the night to get to the bathroom. I had originally purchased these at a local hardware stores a few years ago and in recent months I have noticed that the light turns on and off intermittently. I have tried several others types in the meantime, but in all cases the other lights are too bright. As the product description states, these are "guide" lights and that is all I am looking for...pun somewhat intended. It provides just enough subtle lighting to light the mark the hallway, without disturbing my sleep. Now, the light is always on, so I would imagine the longevity is impacted as result, but mine lasted at least a couple of years before starting to cut out. There is no Light Sensor so it is very compact. I just ordered a few more from Amazon, so when the next one starts flickering I will have back up.

These bulbs do exactly what they are meant to do. On my ceiling fan/light, I have 2 ordinary soft whites and two Reveals. The difference is clear. The soft whites give everything an obvious yellow tint. The Reveal bulbs do not. More colors come out. My eyes are more relaxed.

I often spend hours at my home computer, so anything that reduces eye strain is welcomed. One issue that the previous rater mentioned is true their light is somewhat dimmer than of the soft white bulb of same wattage. It does not feel different enough to require a 60W instead of 40W, or to require a 75W instead of 60W. I'm fine with the same Wattage as before.

btw, I previously used a similar bulb from Philips. It may have been called "Natural Spectrum". It performed in the same way.

I've used GE Reveal bulbs almost everywhere in my home for several years now. I love the way they bring out and enhance colors and mood. The only major drawback to these, is the EXTREMELY short lifespan. It is not untypical for bulbs to last barely a month or two with infrequent usage. Sadly other 'normal' incandescents will last years with the same amount of usage.

Suspecting an issue with bulb life but not having any proof, I loaded a two-light fixture with one Reveal and one standard GE incandescent. Sure enough, the Reveal lasted barely 1/4 of the time of the standard incandescent. This wouldn't be so much a problem if the bulbs were affordable, but of course the fetch a premium price. So I'm paying double (or more) the money, and get 1/4 the life of a normal bulb. Simply not worth it in the final analysis. I am now slowly switching back to standard incandescents as I blow through the final stock of my Reveals.

I have to give this product 2 of 4 stars, simply for the lifespan issue. Sad, unfortunately.

I have been using Reveal as well as other full-spectrum bulbs. I generally get these because they give off a great light and tend to be about half the price of the Verilux and other full-spectrums I like.

However, they seem to last about 2/3's as long, sometimes half as long as the Verilux and I spent the last year installing them side-by-side with the Verilux to give them equal testing in the same light array(I have a 4 bulb light array in my office and they all answer to one switch).

I do love how much easier it is on the eyes to read under this light, and everything, including my art and carpet, look much better with this.

I am reluctant to switch to compact fluorescent due to the pollution they cause and the rare earth metals that are being depleted by their use and I am starting to stockpile the incandescent bulbs and picture a time when they will only be available "speakeasy" style after the law takes effect.

Compact Florescent light is harsh, white and I find causes eye strain when reading under it.

I was skeptical that these would have a significant improvement over the usual soft white bulbs, but wow, the difference is amazing! The light is much cleaner, and less glare inducing, the 'whiteness' is incredible. It's very pleasing, I was impressed.

As a result, I've replaced every single bulb in my house, and am heading back to the store tomorrow to get more reveal bulbs!

This light clips on a hat visor and helps when hunting, or looking for the paper in the morning. The adjustable lights are a plus. I would reccomend this to anyone. The price and quaity are superb.
