Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I typically have to get up a couple of times per night for a bathroom visit, and to accommodate that annoying habit I installed a motion light in our bathroom, the type that plugs into a wall outlet. When I travel, which is fairly often, I miss this feature in the hotel room, thus my desire to have this portable light with a motion sensor when I saw its availability in the Vine program. Here are a few observations:
It has a three-position switch on the bottom, one for instant on, one for off, and one for motion detection.
The light is plenty bright for the purpose I need it for, as stated above.
It is very small, which makes traveling with it easy.
It takes three AAA batteries (not included), which makes it especially handy because you're not dependent on a strategically located wall outlet. It also comes with a rope hanger, also a handy feature.
The motion sensor works well, but it does not have much sensitivity from the side. It only seems to trigger when I am right in front of it.
It stays on for only 20 seconds, which is not adjustable. This duration seems too short to me, but I suppose it's to save the battery life. You can, of course, move around a bit and it will flash back on.
Lastly, it is all plastic. While I wasn't expecting a solid state, made-of-metal device, I think its $20 price (as of this writing) is too much for what you get. They should at least include batteries at this price. A price tag in the $8 to $10 range would be much more realistic, and even at that price it should come with batteries. You could get something like this: Wireless Motion Sensor Light 10 Super-Bright LED which is far cheaper, that would probably serve about the same purpose, with a little creative rigging.

I think it is a nice item to have. I have not shopped to compare prices with other similar items, but it seems reasonable enough for what it does.
The Fulcrum light would also come in handy when camping or if you get up to go to the bathroom at night and don't want to turn on the light. The light is very bright and clear for being so small. It can be used as a regular flashlight, too, which is good for power outages. I'm very happy I got it.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program Having lost electricity twice this summer already, I thought this could be very useful. Once I breached the impenetrable packaging and treated myself for injuries, things got better. There's almost more to love in the extras here then in the light itself. Several mounting options (screws, tape, magnets), all included, as well as a nice little mounting bracket. Even a door hanger strap with quick-release mechanism (for when I need to liberate the light in a hurry?). The light's beam is strong and broad. I like that I can use it in motion-activated mode or as a flashlight. Good addition to the tool kit. I haven't tested it in an emergency yet, but I'm crocheting little outfits for it. It is versatile in so many ways, but I think the best use is for travel, when a light is needed to navigate a dark hotel room....the sensor/motion-activated mode is perfect. The item takes 3 AAA batteries and has an extra bright LED light. The other use as a flashlight is excellent, as it can be used hands-free, if needed. The light is very bright, so bright that it is slightly uncomfortable on sleepy eyes in the middle of the night. (We are still trying to decide where might be the best location in our house!) The size of the MiniGo is approximately 2 1/2" tall, 1 1/2" wide, and 1 1/4" deep. The removable holder/bracket with a hanging strap (door or wrist) makes it just a tad bigger, but still petite. If the power goes out even if you have a flashlight close by, you still need to be feeling around for it. It usually has moved on its own from where you left it. Just hang this one near by, set it on automatic motion detection mode, and if the lights go out and you move it will light up. It lights up a good size area. You can set it to manual mode and use it as a flash light too. It is more of a wide beam not as penetrating as a flashlight. So not a replacement for one.I think it is a nice item to have. I live in a two-story, and the light switch is not located at a convenient place near the stairs like it should be. When I want to go to bed, I have to go up the stairs, turn on a light, then go down the stairs, turn off the other light, then go back up. It's really annoying. I hung the motion sensor light on a closet door by the stairs, so at night, I can turn off the downstairs light and go straight upstairs with the motion detector lighting the way. It turns off on its own, so I don't have to worry about it.The Fulcrum light would also come in handy when camping or if you get up to go to the bathroom at night and don't want to turn on the light.
