We now own 9 of these LED lights on our home, we have had so many people ask us about them. They are installed near doors around the property, they give off a beautiful glow of light and the detailed finish on the metal is amazing. Great alternative to traditional light.

I have worked with other LED light strips both at home and at work. Previously, I have paid 10X the price for warm white led light strips. These are VERY yellow for a warm white and appear significantly dimmer than 500lm/m based on other units I've worked with. For the price, I figured I could double up strips if they didn't deliver the intensity, but I will probably pair with a cool white to balance the color. Disappointed in the color more than the intensity, just be aware. Pricewise, I'm still ahead, so not complaining, just warning.

I have had a Bayco 36 LED SLR-2236C for around two years now. I highly recommend it to everyone who wants a reliable, lightweight, and bright work light.

Since mine is a couple of years old, I decided to run a test. I turned on the 30 LED floodlight array and started my timer. The 30 LED array is claimed to operate with 4 hours run time. After twelve (12!) hours I stopped the test, the light was just starting to show a noticeably dimmer light output. That is three times the run time claimed by the manufacturer!

I have since purchased three more of these lights. I now have one in each vehicle, one in the garage, and one at work. I have great confidence in this light.

I've got one that is about 2 yrs old. I work in a truck repair shop. Its the only light I use. The other techs borrow often. I charge it once, twice a month max. Its beat up good now, clear lense is scratched, burnt. It is still adequate. Bayco has come out with an orange one. I do misplace the black one frequently. So far it has always been returned. I believe the orange one will be easier to keep up with. I just purchased 9 bayco 2492's:Bayco NSR-2492 Night Stick Worklight and Flashlight to pass out to coworkers. The 2492 is supposed to be brighter. I don't think charge will last as long.

I am very pleased with this lamp. It is very bright for 3 watt (total power consumption is 4.2W) LED. I measured at 12 inches from the LED and got about 70 foot-candles. I measured my Sunlight Desk Lamp with Natural Full Spectrum (27W) Fluorescent bulb and got 100 foot-candles @12in. The Rosewill LED with a temperature of 5000k is not as bright and not as white. The design of the Rosewill is better looking than Full Spectrum lamps.

I had not initially planned on writing a review of this lamp, but it so impressed me that I changed my mind. This is a very nice lamp for the price. Yes it is made of plastic, but it is a good grade of plastic that is not flimsy and doesn't seem fragile. It has a hinge at the base and another at the top, so you could actually flatten the whole thing out for compact storage. It stands over seventeen inches high thereby illuminating a nice area of my desk; this height even clears my 27" monitor so I can have it close to my work and yet it's not in the way of the monitor. The on/off button is conveniently located on the underside of the top horizontal member.

It is powered by a switching power supply (wall wart by another name). This is a good thing because I found battery powered LED lamps deficient. The batteries don't last long, and as they weaken, the light starts to dim. It consumes 4.3 watts total power. It is claimed to have a color rendering value of Ra90, which is basically saying that it can render a standard eight color test pattern fairly accurately. I like the color rendering, based on my observation, but you'll have to take their word on the actual value.

It provides a diffuse light of about 5000K color temperature which makes it a more natural colored light, and the light can be situated right in front of my monitor without washing out the display. This is an LED light, but you can't see any of the LED's. There is some kind of diffuser through which the light shines which works quite well. When lit, the diffuser shines very brightly providing sufficient illumination for the desktop.

In a word: recommended!

I ordered two of these. Both had the same problem. The lower adjustment could not be tightened to hold the lamp upright. It is a cheap plastic cap over a metal pin. The cap is designed for the user to use a flat blade screw driver to tighten or loosen the hinge. Less than 1 turn and it broke into pieces. Happened on both lamps. If I could have tightened the pin with pliers, I would keep the lamp. Even that failed to secure the lamp upright. In every other way the lamp is well designed. They skimped on quality at the most used joint.

Very nice looking lamp, bright led.

The one I had received was defective the on/off switch didn't work, and the light was always on.

Well, the replacement was sent immediately after the claim submission, that was good.

Now the bad part you pay for the shipment of the returned item!

Although it is sold by the manufacturer (Rosewill), the support did not agree to cover the shipment back of the defective lamp.

I chose a 2-star rating because the product is very cheaply made. On the lamp it says "tighten screws to fasten" when you tighten the screw it breaks off making the lamp worthless because it cannot stand up.

Very poorly made. The 2-star rating is because the light was actually a nice bright white..

I would not recommend this product to anyone, and I am extremely disappointed with it because I also had to pay to return it to the seller.. Basically wasted my money on shipping..

The light put out by these bulbs is just amazing. It's a nice, bright white light and blows away the light output of a standard bulb. Having better light at 1/4 the wattage usage makes the price worth it, especially given the life expectancy of the bulb is 25k hours vs. 1k, even more so.

One note: these bulbs are heavy, so some fixtures may droop from the weight. Plan accordingly.

HeathCo JourneyMan Motion Sensing Security Light, model HD-9250

We made the mistake of installing 3 of these HeathCo JourneyMan security motion sensor security lights, on the left, right, and back sides of the house. I am constantly replacing the back light, having replaced it at least 5 times. The box claims:

"Built to last a lifetime"

"aged, weather tested rubber gaskets", "seal internal components and controls from severe environmental conditions."

"1.25 Mega Watt Surge Protection."

The back light is the one which is on the most. I rarely use the side lights which usually remain off. I am constantly having to return it to my "home" retailer and replace it. I am sick and tired of having to stand on a ladder and install a new one. It is not, BTW, an easy feat to hold the new light and connect the 3 wires to the outdoor box.

There are 2 sensors on these security lights: a motion detector and a light detector. The light detector prevents the light from turning on during the day thereby wasting electricity. If it's not the entire light failing, it's something else. I have replaced the HeathCo so many times it's making me manic.

All of these security lights are made in China and HeathCo is no exception. HeathCo's China plant needs more quality control and testing. 2 days ago I replaced it because its light detector failed. The new one kept going on and off all night long in 2 minute intervals. There was NOTHING in front of it moving and since it has 2 90 watt floodlight bulbs, it was wasting a lot of electricity.

The only positive element here is it has a "Lifetime Warranty" so I was not forced to pay for a replacement... yet. Unless you really need an automatic light, I suggest sticking with a switched light. The HeathCo is the most expensive and supposedly highest quality light available. There's a 30% chance it will be defective right out of the box! Their Chinese manufacturer appears to be cutting corners and HeathCo needs to manage them better. Apparently HeathCo has no one watching the production lines in China.

China QC is terrible. Not just an inconvenience, and call backs, but I wonder about potential home electrical fires. I am pulling these all out.

In the last three months I have installed one wall mount motion light, one soffit mount motion light (Heath), three lighted three way paddle switches (Lutron) and three lutron paddle 3way switches with dimmers.

I have had three switch failure right out of the box, 2 switch failures where led doens't work after two weeks, soffit light fails to turn off the first time it senses and trips on, and the wall mount light cycles on about 2 seconds after switch is turned on, never goes to auto, and stay on all the time.

Have checked out all the circuits and settings, and I am engineer. The quality is just junk. Why do the companies here accept this stuff? because the american consumer buys on price mostly. We are our own worst enemy.

Leviton and lutron mexico seem better but not trouble free either.

I too have had to replace this unit twice due to sensor failures. They seem to work fine for a year or two tops, then the trouble starts. My first unit would sometimes turn on, sometimes not, and yes it was aimed and calibrated properly. I know this was a sensor problem since it worked fine if switched on manually, and the settings and aiming were not tampered with at all. The second (replacement) unit lasted about the same time before similar trouble developed, and this one likes to stay on in broad daylight, all day long, even without any movement in the field. Very frustrating, like another reviewer said it is not a lot of fun climbing a ladder and struggling to balance the fixture when it needs to be replaced. I chose this unit precisely because the manufacturer touts its reliability and quality as selling points, and precisely because I hoped to avoid these problems by paying more up front. There must be a better unit out there somewhere!

We searched all over for some good sized solid brass coach lights to replace the aging ones we have had on the front of the house for 30 years or more. I actually returned a set of different ones because they were not as tall as advertised. These also have a durable clear coating so they won't tarnish or corode. I mounted these with new 5 watt CFL Candelabra bulbs and they look just great. These things alone make our home look nearly new.

The light bulb did not work when it arrived. The bulb was in a little box board box inside of a padded mailer, so the shipping could have had something to do with it. It costs $5 to return the bulb which seems excessive.

Was looking for a good 50 watt GU10 replacement, Most of the LED's that claim to be a GU10 replacement are designed for accent lighting. I found this replacement by looking for the highest wattage LED that I could find. This one isn't as bright as a 50 watt GU10 halogen is, but it's pretty close. The only problem I ran into is that this LED is slightly longer than my existing GU10's so this one sticks out of my fixture a quarter inch. The specifications are clearly marked on Amazon, my own fault for not checking that closer. Overall it's a great replacement bulb and I'll be ordering more of them.

This is a very solid, all metal light with a durable PVC stake that were easy to install. If it were just these elements I'd give 5 stars. However, it must have been the "jr. varsity" team that designed the quik disc connect because, though easy to install you have to ensure the cap is reattached in the proper direction in order for the pins to line up. Sounds easy, but when you find yourself behind a bush installing it at night to get the proper placement it is hard to know which is "front" on a round disc. Still, once connected, the lights look great and should last some 13 years without any maintenance. Spend a little now to avoid dealing with bulb changes, fallen over stakes, plastic housings that crack, etc. And, the LED are very bright but use a lot less energy so factor that as well into your cost comparison. TIP: connect these lights with the low voltage power on so you know you have a solid connection and the light works before you move on to the next light!

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program The energizer flameless candle is ok as a substitute for real candles. However the flickering light is not as bright as a real candle. So where you could have used two candle, you may need about four of these. However, it is a safe alternative as there are no risks of wax burns or children playing with lighted candles. They are ok, do what they are advertised to do. However, it does not have the traditional romantic feel produced by real candles.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program This is a dark crimson red wax candle covered in glitter on the outside. It looks like it's made with actual wax but instead of a wick it boasts a little light bulb. It looks quite nice and festive but when you turn it on, it does not produce a lot of light. A real candle would burn about 50 100% brighter. It does flicker a little which makes it look realistic.

The other problem is that since the bulb is quite deep inside the candle you have to be standing right over the candle to see the light and looking down at least at a shallow angle to see the light dancing on the inside of the cone.

On the whole, it's somewhat disappointing. You have to go to some effort to place the candle somewhere where it does its job and create a pleasant candle-like glow. The other disappointing thing is that the glow of the light barely passes through the wax of the candle. This is further restricted by the coating of glitter on the outside which is totally opaque.

Perhaps a different wax candle that is less opaque would produce a much more pleasing effect. We got this just before Halloween and found the best use for it was out on the bench on the front porch when the trick or treaters came to visit. It fit quite well amongst all the pumpkins and Halloween decorations. Without a flame there was no worry of bustling kids with flammable loose clothing setting fire to themselves.

The candle does have two on settings. One is timer that runs for a fixed period of some hours. So that's handy. We haven't tested the longevity of the candle. Unfortunately the amount of light emitted is almost unnoticeable and even when all the lights are off it is easily overlooked.

So it's somewhat disappointing.

Best Deals for Energizer XPS1DL100 LED Flameless Wax ; 3 x 4 Red Glitter Pillar

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I am really becoming a fan of these flameless candles. I stayed away for so long because I felt that they would look tacky, but in general, they are very nice. This particular one is just "okay", meaning, I wouldn't have it anywhere where people could see it up close. The flame effect is wonderful and I especially love the timer, but for this candle the battery runs out way too fast and I don't like the way it looks close-up. Almost like something you would see in a dollar store, but that's just my personal taste. I'll put it away until next Christmas and perhaps next time, I'll tie a little bow around it. :)

Honest reviews on Energizer XPS1DL100 LED Flameless Wax ; 3 x 4 Red Glitter Pillar

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I think the candle is pretty and I like the shape and the glitter, and at least with this model it only takes 2 batteries unlike some others, but the light is really really weak. Very faint, and for two AA batteries (which aren't included and honestly can the thing be any more of a gimmick by being made BY a battery company and then NOT including batteries... really?) I would expect it to a bit of a more noticeable light. I don't believe it's worth the asking price.

Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Energizer XPS1DL100 LED Flameless Wax ; 3 x 4 Red Glitter Pillar

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I looked forward to this but was a bit disappointed when I realized that it really looks ugly unless you place it high up, or at an angle where you can't see the light bulb. The light bulb style inside makes it look very cheap it's not one of those specialty flameless candles with a prettier looking flickering flame. This one is just a bulb.

The wax has this strong perfume smell that attempts to cover whatever chemical smell that it still has. The glitter on the outside of the candle comes off on touch, and leaves a mess on my hand. I don't feel comfortable handling this. I keep thinking it might be toxic in some way.

All in all, it seems cheaply made. At a distance, it does the job and looks fine, perhaps on top of the fire place, but I wouldn't use it as a table decoration.

We bought four of these. Price wise, we could not find a cheaper UL rated outdoor fan. Overall they have been good, however we do not recommend them for unproteced areas with the possibility of high winds. We have had trouble with the fan blades working themselves loose over time as the wind has flexed the blades. Given that, we received great customer service when two of the blades came loose, hit the ground, and broke. If you put these in a high wind area, you must tighten the blades from time to time or they will break off. This may be an issue for all outdoor ceiling fans, not just this model. If you live in an area with high wind potential, we recommend not installing outdoor ceiling fans. The two fans we installed in an outdoor wind protected area have had no issues.

I originally purchased this ceiling fan because it was affordable and black in color. Redesigning my room, I went with accent black decor. I tried in vain to find an affordable and high quality black fan. I noticed most 52 inch black fans were quite expensive, until I discovered this option on Amazon. I have been happy with the purchase as it displaces alot of air and goes well in my room.

If you are looking for an affordable, 52 inch black ceiling fan, than this is your buy.

I bought this for an outside gazebo as it is wet rated. The price included a remote control which was a nice extra. The fan itself works very nicely.I would describe it as basic but It is very quiet and exhibits no wobble. Serves our purpose. Will have to see how well it holds up. Shipping was fast and reasonable.

Honest reviews on Yosemite Home Decor Sharon-BL 52-Inch Outdoor Ceiling Fan

I've had this fan for a little over a week now, and overall I'm very happy with the purchase. The fan provides very good circulation on all three speed settings, especially high and medium. It's very quiet too. Aside from the breeze you'd never know the thing was one. The design and color are sleek and it looks pretty cool.

My only complaint is the lights. The light sockets are candelabra style which really limits the types of bulbs that you can use. If you want to change the style or type of bulb you'll need to get adapters so that you can use regular light bulbs. The lighting is the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars.

I have been using this light for about two weeks now and am generally happy with it. As the owner of a drawer full of tactical type lights from SureFire, Streamlight, Coast, Maglite, and others, I like to think I have a reasonably informed opinion about flashlights from the operational/functional viewpoint. I have been looking for a dual output light that is tough, with good ouput, and with an easy to using switching system for a while. I bought this one to fill that void. The construction is certainly of good quality but somewhat of a departure for SureFire... It seems more "stylish" than functional compared to my other (E2DL, G2), but I cannot find any fault with its durability so far. The quality of the fit and finish are excellent as expected. The tail button is a "forward clicky". The first click or momentary press activates the low light mode (15 lumens) and the second click switches it to high mode (200 lumens). I prefer this order compared to others that I have that are the opposite. Most of the time, I need a light to illuminate a nearby area as opposed to see a street sign from 150 feet away so this order makes sense. In addition, when using it in a small space doesn't immediatly blind you. The low light is a bit yellowish but adequate and is rated to last for 45 hours or so. The high mode is very white with a good combination or throw and spill. It's rated at 2 hours. The reflector has a star like pattern at the edges of the light cone. The beam width is wider than other lights of similiar rating and I have found that to be a welcome change.

Overall, I find the light to be intuitative to use and an excellent value. Recommended.

This is a really good flashlight at a good price (for surefire anyway) that offers the dual purposes of being extremely bright and having a long lasting dim mode. The dim mode is excellent for most normal uses since it is bright enough to light things up enough to see without blinding you, then if you press the switch again you get a very bright beam for lighting up large areas outside or blinding people (if you have a fear of people lurking in the dark and want to blind them before they attack). A lot of people don't like how it has the dim mode first then the brighter mode because it's apparently less tactically correct, but I personally like the way it is since I would rather not be blinded by it every time I switch the light on. The construction is the same as most surefires with its milled aluminum frame, the use of CR123 batteries and orange peel reflector that makes a flawless beam. The light is also made in the U.S. despite it not being written anywhere on the light itself; the back of the packaging says that it qualifies by law as a made in USA product even though a very small amount of electronic components are made elsewhere.

One thing that sucks about this light is that they decided to use a plastic window instead of the usual glass found on all of their other models. This plastic scratches easily and seems to collect more lint from your pocket, but frankly it's just annoying because the only reason it is used is to save costs. Another thing for people who like to tear their stuff apart and customize it, this light does not support that since the head is one solid piece and cannot be taken apart; they even try to prevent you from taking it off at all by putting loctite on the threads.

Overall this is a very good light, although I haven't really compared it to other lights other than maglites and other surefires so there may be better for the price. I would have given it 5 stars had it not been for the cheap plastic window, otherwise this is a perfect general purpose flashlight. Also keep in mind they sell the cheaper polymer version which I probably would have bought had it been in stock.

Best Deals for Surefire 6 PX Pro Flashlight

I bought 7 Surefire 6PX Pro flashlights from Amazon (on June 2011) and randomly tested a few of them in a remote hilly countryside area where it gets very dark at night except for the light coming from the stars. The light on high output cuts through the darkness very well and has an impressive throw. On low output, it is very useful for reading maps and navigating in the darkness while extending battery life as intended. The lower output is pleasingly brighter than I thought. Please keep in mind that these are fresh never used batteries so the light output is at its peak. When compared to my 6P LED Defender, the light looks yellowish white. The 6P LED Defender looks more whitish cool blue. It is not an ugly yellowish white but a pleasing bright yellowish white. I think if it had more bluish tint, then it would look crisper. I am no expert but I wonder if there is a burn in period with LED bulbs which causes a color shift. When the flashlights are turned off, I can see that the led bulbs look very different from each other.

After trying both click-style and turn-style switches on previous flashlights, I found that the click style is much easier and convenient to use. With a click style switch, I don't have to worry about the unit from disassembling itself because I turned it too much. When screwing on the tailcap after inspecting the batteries, the threading is precise and what I expect from a well made product. Also I'll just have to get used to it but the rubber button seems slightly tougher to press than previous versions or maybe it is because I have yet to break it in. This flashlight can sense the time it takes to press again for high output. This feature is cool but you have to get used to it. By the way, the dual output feature is not solely in the tailcap area, meaning, if you switched tailcaps with a different Surefire flashlight that did not have dual output ability, the dual output will not work. Another interesting feature is that when pressed halfway many times at a rapid rate, it keeps the high output. This is probably good for strobe/disorientation purposes. However I don't know if it will be good for SOS signal purposes.

The exterior body style is very cool and modern looking on website pictures as well as in real life. It looks like something that came out of a Batman movie. I really like the undulating hand grip and the fine CNC machine marks are not as pronounced as with previous models. I wouldn't have minded a slightly deeper undulation on the grip area and an addition of some rubber material for extra security such as found on the Surefire Z (CombatLight) but it is still acceptable. Also there are no knurling patterns (except for the rubber button) which is different from previous designs. The matte finish is a welcome change to the anodized black paint that was found on previous models. I like both types but it was good to experience this one as well. I wonder if this matte surface will handle scratches better than my already scratched anodized black paint flashlights. Sorry, but for the sake of the review I am not willing to sacrifice an intentional scratch!

The white etching/engraving found on the body is good although I'd later fill it in with a black permanent marker to make it look more discreet. Of the 7 same model flashlights that I bought (from different sellers on Amazon), I cannot notice any difference in quality other than the fact that the white engraving is not consistent with each other. The fonts look slightly bigger on some and smaller/sharper on others.

While the crenellated bezel found on the 6PX Pro is not as aggressive as the 6P LED Defender, it is still capable of using it as a strike weapon if necessary. I prefer this modest crenellation because it does not cut into my pockets.

Despite Andrew's review (2/19/11) that I read about the plastic filter, which I thought was a nice attention to detail by him, I went ahead and purchased it. After testing it myself, I have to concur with him that it does feel cheap compared to my other previous model Surefire flashlights. It is disappointing. If you tap on the filter with your finger nails, you will hear a light sound compared to if you tapped on the tempered glass filter in which you would hear a harder solid sound. I place keys together with my flashlight in my pocket all the time so I am not so excited at the prospect that this plastic filter is more susceptible to scratches. My previous model Surefire flashlights with tempered glass have yet to be scratched.

The roll over design is not aggressive enough when it is placed horizontally and this is the main reason I took off a star. This model rolls over easier than my 6P LED Defender and my Surefire Z2L. I thought that this anti rolling feature on previous models was a fantastic idea when compared to my Maglites. However since the 6PX rolls over easily, I can see that Surefire is losing focus on one of their best features. This of course depends on how you place the flashlight on a surface such as a table. If you calmly and carefully place it down on a level surface then it will not roll away. In real world situations, such as combat, hiking, and other outdoor activities, I think most people will not have time to calmly place it down. Therefore in some cases, they may have to say goodbye as their flashlight rolls off.

The included batteries are Surefire brand CR123a lithium batteries. When I purchased my first Surefire flashlight a few years ago, I was worried that I would not be able to find these hard-to-find batteries. However, thanks to the power of the Internet, I can get them easily. I just need to make sure to stock up to use as a backup. I really like that these batteries last long in storage and retains good power throughout the years. This aspect is definitely a good feature for emergency disaster kit situations. The batteries that I found in my flashlights were fresh with an expiration year of 2021.

I also have a couple Surefire G2X flashlights and I cannot tell any difference in the quality of the light between this and the 6PX Pro. The G2X is also a very nice flashlight. Even though the G2X is made out of cheaper material it does not feel cheap at all. It has a good heft to it like the 6PX Pro. The 6PX Pro just feels a little more special due to its tank-like construction.

The wording on the package states: Designed and assembled in the U.S.A. of domestic and foreign components. This product qualifies as "American Made" under the Buy American Act.

It also states: Not for weapon-mounted applications.

The plastic packaging is PET which is one of the most widely recycled plastics. The printed card packaging is also recyclable. I suggest that you use a scissor and cut close to the edge on the sides of the card to avoid damaging your scissor by cutting into the thick plastic material.

The included user manual is short but informative and it shows both 6PX Pro and G2X Pro models.

Surefire is losing some of the strong selling points such as anti-roll feature and use of plastic filter instead of tempered glass, however I still like the compact yet high output led design of Surefire flashlights. I bought this flashlight because of the dual-output and the modern looking design on this flashlight. After owning and using many different types of flashlights, I'd recommend buying more of the affordable Maglite for the house, car, and toolbox, but carry a Surefire flashlight as a backup wherever you go even though it is overlapping your need because you never know when you need more than one flashlight.

Honest reviews on Surefire 6 PX Pro Flashlight

Was seeking a high quality mid-size (between 4-7 inches) light with power. This seemed well priced. Could not be happier. Surefire has a winner. Feel is high quality, but light and very easy to grip. Low beam is a bit weak (as I expected at about 15 Lumens) but ok for very basic use. High power (200 Lumens) is excellent and fully lights anything in my backyard...or the neighbors. I like the size as it feels more substantial than a 'personal' light of say 4" but not so big as to be unwieldy. Some friends have big Streamlights and I think it is weird to pull out a 12"+ long light with a huge head, that does no more than what this nicely packaged Surefire will do.

Summary:

Quality: A

Light: B for low beam, A + for high beam

Switch: A

Value: A++

This is a very nice, but expensive, flashlight with one design flaw, no provision for a lanyard. Not even a small hole for a split ring. You have to go back to the manufacturer and pay another $13 for a clunky special design ring that fits between the body and the tailcap. I'll bet when the engineers designed the proto-type for this flashlight it included a lanyard hole. Someone in management nixed the hole, realizing you could stiff your customer for another 13%. Who wants a $100 flashlight they can't hang on to when the going gets rough? Even though I bought the nylon belt holster, I still want a lanyard to make it harder to loose in use.

That complaint aside, the flashlight is very well made and functions nicely, I particularly like the two light intensities. One set of batteries is rated to last 2.5 hours on the 200 lumen setting and 45 hours on the 15 lumen setting. The lower light setting is more than adequate for 90% of the things you would use it for in an emergency or camping setting. The reflector also provides the perfect spread on the beam, 90% in the central area but enough peripheral light to keep you from stumbling over thing on the trail. My home was hit by hurricane Rita some years back and in living almost 3 weeks with no electricity I discovered that even the smallest key-chain LED is enough light for most tasks. It is nice to have the big-light 200 lumens at your fingertips but will probably use it rarely. In a tactical situation, the 200 lumens would be a must.

I bought this for an emergency prepardness "bug-out" bag and was attracted to both the long 45 hour low-light setting and the long shelf life of the 123A Lithium batteries it uses. The set that came in the flashlight had a 2/2021 expiration date; giving me nearly 10 yrs. Surefire also offers a case of 12 replacement batteries for a reasonable price; as well as a 6 battery O-ring sealed plastic carrier which is very nice. I bought both, so with 6 spares in the carrier and one set in the flashlight, I have 4 sets. (4 x 45hrs)/4 hrs use a night = 45 nights. That should be good for most emergencies.

Except for the lanyard ring issue, an maybe a slightly lower price, I'm very pleased with the SureFire 6PX-Pro

I found this light at Walmart, I usually have my doubts about flashlights or work lights at Target or Walmart because they're usually cheap quality but this one is nice and bright. It does have a few quirks though that I'm not really fond of.

1. No battery life indicator. The light just starts to get dim/dull on you then it dies. If you use this at home then that's not a problem, but if you're on the job you can't always find an outlet near by and continue working. So you should probably charge it every time you use it heavily.

2. The power adapter charger is an odd voltage (8vdc @ .225A) so if you lose the charger or want a second one to carry you're out of luck (unless you find it on ebay or a specialty electronics store). I forgot to bring it when I went out of town for work. I ended up having to buy another one of these lights because the battery died on me. I don't know what harm will come if you use a 9v adapter on it but I'm sure it'll void the warranty if it shorts out.

3. The position of the magnets are in odd places. Usually most of them have them at the base, this one is on top (which also connects the hook) and on the back side (just below the power button)

4. The top magnet is weak, it doesn't have enough strength to hold it horizontally (if it does hold, the slightest touch will make it fall)

5. The plastic feels kind of cheap, I'm not sure how well it'll stand up to a drop.

The lumen output of this light is lower than it's cousin, the NSP-1260 from Bayco.

That, and being black, it's hard to find in the dark without another flashligt.

He had been looking for them every where and about fell over when he got them. I can say they have very long staying power. Very bright. And stick to anything metal. He uses them at his shop as well as at the track when he works on the race car. Super fast shipping and just as stated great job.

We had previously purchased a similar light, which also had a light in the end similar to a flash light. We were disapointed that this did not, but it functions ok

I have been looking for months for a good PAR30, 2700k LED flood bulb. I have mainly the standard recessed fixture in my rooms and am using CFL's. I want to start using LED bulbs as the CFL's die. This is the first bulb that looks to me to actually be 2700k, and the flood is wide enough so its not a spot of light on the floor.

Btw these are NOT 355 lumen bulbs, they are about 650 lumens.

The only negative for this bulb (for me) was that the neck was just a tiny bit too short maybe by just a quarter inch. i really had to tighten them more than I wanted to in a few sockets to get them to light up.

Now if only the price would hurry up and drop down to the $10-$20 range I would get a whole bunch more of these!
