Ok so i ordered one of these because of good reviews but these products came directly from china and used chinese newspaper as packing.
NEGATIVE ASPECTS:
BUYER BEWARE! the descpription says the product is dimmable, HOWEVER it does not come with a dimmer switch.
I work in the metal industry and know how hard it is to achieve a brushed finish on a welded box. the material started with dents and pits in it so no amount of polishing will take imperfections out, so the end result that shipped to me was not the greatest looking item.
The Light is very bright, if only it had a dimmer...........

Just what I had hoped it would be. Small,bright,not hot like halogen bulbs. We purchased this light for my daughter's bedroom. She absolutely loves it. The light is of good quality and very attractive. It's a little smaller than I expected. The one issue I came across, is the mounting holes don't line up with a standard ceiling lighting mount. You can screw one screw into the lighting mount and then the other into drywall/stud/plug.

This nightlight is really cute. I love how Winnie the Pooh and Tigger are on the ceiling. My two-year-old son will look at it until he falls asleep, usually. This item is pretty good, works well. Light is pretty bright, although i had hoped for something a little brighter. It has a few light settings, which allows you to adjust the brightness of the lamp. I purchased 2 of the flashlights (1 for work and 1 for home) after my Thrunite flashlight died after about 1 month (different vendor/seller). Man, these are BRIGHT!! Lights up most of my apartment at night by itself and you can see the beam in the dark. I haven't had any issues with dimming over time as the batteries seem to hold up fairly well.
2 things that annoyed me though were lack of instructions with the flashlight on how to operate the modes (fairly intuitive though, just tap the tailcap power switch to switch between modes) and the fact that the beam isn't focusable. I didn't understand completely by "zoomable" until I tried it, the beam goes from a fairly healthy wide circle to a perfect extremely bright square (which is the shape of the LED.

I had 2 of these lights in my kitchen. The lights were left on for long periods of time often more than 8 hours a day. The lights started off bright and strong and dimmed over time as is the case with most fluorescent lights. These GE Circuline Lights provided ample illumination during all phases of their 3 1/2 year life span. I liked the cool white color with just a hint of blue. Maybe the other reviewer got a bad batch. I brought my lights from Amazon.com not a third party seller because; I seldom have problems with quality of items I buy from Amazon.com. The Bulbs were easy to install so long as you are gentle with them as the bulb's glass is painfully thin. I brought 20 of these bulbs in bulk because; you never know when the elected crazies in Washington DC will outlaw these awesome bulbs and mandate we lemmings buy a far more expensive, far less reliable, utterly useless, dim unearthly blue but more energy efficient "EARTH FRIENDLY GREEN" light bulb. I more than got my money's worth from these bulbs and thus I highly recommend them. Enjoy them while they last. Next up the fools in government will force us to buy lame LED lights that burn out after 3 weeks use and cost $35 dollars each to replace but NOT TO WORRY the new LED technology will be GREEN! I work in a government office that is just beginning to switch to LED technology to replace florescent bulbs. The new energy saving LED technology has a blue color is almost criminal in its ability to amplify ugliness in even the most colorful cheerful environment. Blue LED replacements for cool blue florescent's make almost all colors and features in their environment look gray and almost totally washed out. These GE Circline 32W cool blue florescent bulbs emit a blue white light I find make a colorful environment vivid bright yet still pleasing to the eye.

I have been building my off grid solar system for a year. I have a 120 watt pure sine invertor, but the system is greedy and Im still adding batteries, so I decided to separate the lights from the main grid. This is no doubt my best investment in lighting so far. I have separate solar panels charging batteries strictly for these lights. Pow! take that light company. Please do not use these in wet conditions , they are bare and uncovered. I would recommend direct connection to a 12 volt battery system only. Several reviewers have commented on the hassle involved in changing the batteries which requires a screw driver to unscrew and screw back the faceplate covering the battery housing. I agree that it is a hassle. Even when using rechargable batteries, this light eats thorough them in one evening (at 4 hours or so). After that the light starts to dim. So I needed a solution. However, in lieu of a dedicated power adapter, on a whim i decided to try USB as a power source as i had a spare USB to male cable lying around after purchasing the netgear wnce2001, and not using the USB power adapter cable that came with it. The input specification on the ottlight says "6V 600mA" and USB produces 5V, and while I'm not an expert on the various nuances of USB power delivery specifications, 600mA certainly sounded very reasonable i.e. not a "high powered" device like the ipads, while 5V wasn't quite 6V, it may not matter (I'm speculating that perhaps the voltage is further regulated internally so the actual input voltage doesn't actually matter, as long as it's high enough but not too high, of course). Anyway, I plugged it in (tried both desktop and laptop), and lo and behold light! as bright as using freshly charged batteries. So, with this impediment out of the way as i normally use the lamp together with my laptop as a supplementary light i give it 5 stars! This one little change makes the light truly portable, and hassle free.
Now that i think of it, i was using the sanyo eneloop batteries, which have a nominal voltage of 1.2V instead of 1.5V for non-rechargables, so that makes it 4.8V (for four batteries in series) ! So it makes perfect sense that 5V should work also, after all, the manufacturer has to allow for the possibility of using rechargable NiMh batteries.
By the way, i forgot to say that light quality is excellent, very white and bright. You can actually turn the angle of the light almost to about 80 degrees. I wasn't really aware of that until recently (I used to keep it at about 65 degrees or so for fear of breaking the part where it hinges together, but now i see that there's a stopper at the end, and it actually will stop turning). So it can be used as a more generic ambient light which is what i now use it for, rather than just focused light. Great for some mini-SAD-therapy, during these winter months, but i'm digressing ...
One can also pair the USB power adapter cable with one of several lithium based USB battery packs on the market right now, eliminating the need for a laptop or desktop (or AA batteries for that matter) although you'd still need to charge that battery pack, but that should last longer than the 4 AA batteries that this thing eats through in one evening.
UPDATE: this is the USB cable that works with the light it uses a "3.5mm" plug

I bought this originally to replace my desk lamp. Ooops, that was a mistake. This lamps is not designed as a desk lamp. Instead its more like a utility lamp. Its really short. The cover to the battery slot has a screw over it. This annoyed me a bit, because that meant every time I needed to replace the batteries, I would have to carry screw driver with me. The design ergonomics lost me there. In addition, there is no easy way to get the cover off it too, because there is no latch on it. The only good thing is the light is really powerful. I've purchased this seven day electronic timer to use on my front porch light. The installation of this device requires three wire connections. It requires the white wire or neutral as well as the hot and switch leg. The green wire is to be connected to the electrical outlet box and is optional. I was fortunate with my installation that there is a neutral wire in the box. Otherwise, I would had to install the neutral wire in the outlet box before I can use this timer. The timer has its own rechargeable battery backup. This device uses an actual relay to do the switching on and off, so it is compatible with all loads whether it be compact fluorescent lighting or motor loads up to 15 amps. This device is kind of bulky that it requires quite a lot of space inside the electrical box. It occupies up to 1 5/8 inch in depth or about the same as a GFCI device.
The timer is fairly easy to program. First you have to set the clock by lifting the cover that happened to be the push button for the light switch by prying it up with a small screwdriver. Once you have it open, press and hold the clock button until it starts blinking. When that happens, you can press the hour button to advance to the correct hour. Next, do the same for the minutes. Finally set the week day. Next, press and hold the timer button to set the time when you want the light to come on and off. Repeat this, if you want the light to come on at different time on another day. Otherwise just leave it on one day setting. Using just the first day setting. The timer will turn on and off the light the same time every day.

I have not seen the circuit diagram of the module content but I presume the load is controlled by an SCR (silicon controlled rectifier). Having said that, the heavier the load, the shorter the timer life since the timer is rated for 15A and 1,800 watts. Keep in mind the type of load and the surge currents can shorten the life of the timer considerably. The one year warranty specified by the manufacturer is based on "worst case" load usage.If used to switch high efficiency bulbs (CFL), say four or less, I think it is safe to say that the timer will last forever...as much as 10 years or more. There again, if you are controlling a heavy load, it will probably last a year or so. It all depends how the timer is used.
Should the settings be changed because of daylight savings time? Probably not because of the delicate buttons and the hassle of making the change. Savings of $3.00 for six months per unit (depending on the load) can be realized if the reprogramming is done but I do not recommend making this change. The usage of the timer with incandesced, old fashioned, lamps will also shorten the timer life because of the high transient, inrush currents.

I purchased three of these Woods timers in November 2010. While installation instructions were clear, I chose to use an electrician. He had all three installed in about 45 minutes. I did the programming. It is important to follow the instructions exactly; otherwise, you will have to start over and may need to push the reset button, which I had to do on one of the units. All three units functioned perfectly out of the box. However, programming keys are pretty small and for older eyes such as mine, a magnifying glass and high intensity flashlight were helpful. I'm on my second one, and both have been problems. When it is hooked up correctly, the light flashes. That's two of these in a row, over a one year period. Obviously a poorly-constructed Chinese product. I'm taking mine back for a refund from Loews. Conversely, my Intermedics worked great for years, and they only have two wires to connect. Before purchasing this wall switch timer, I would have to leave the light on all day while at work.I leave for work while it is still dark out, and this time of year, I don't get back til after it's dark again.
Not only was I wasting electricity, but shortening the life of the light bulb by leaving it on all day M-F.
Since I installed the programmable switch, I can now have exterior light when I leave in the morning, and again when I return, without leaving the light on all day long.
I would estimate that in a matter of just a couple months, this timer will have paid for itself.
In my case, the only negative mark I would give this item is the small, hard to read LCD display.
For me, I must provide direct light (such as a flashlight) and then kneel to obtain the optimal viewing angle for standard wall switch height placement.
Perhaps the manufacturer will see this review, and consider developing a back-lit version for easier viewing.
