I think this is one of the best "value lights" out there. While Energizer has made decent budget lights for a while, I stocked up on these for power outages. That said, I have eight of them. Quality and consistency is really good, so my one review can serve for eight specimens of the same light.

The Energizer runs on two AAA batteries, and two alkalines are included. It will also run on NiMHs, NiCads, or lithium primaries. The light is made of hard plastic, and it's pretty tough. Just for testing, I've thrown mine across concrete parking lots and into buildings. It did fine, but "spiking" it on concrete did produce some cracks. The light still functioned fine. The back of the light twists off 1/4 turn, then just slides off. A simple rubber-coated side switch (a reverse clicky) turns the light on or off. Some black rubber helps maintain your grip. The one Cree LED is nice and white, and the 40-lumen rating seems accurate. The smooth plastic reflector makes this light a bit throwy, which I like. The lens is plastic, but is recessed enough to avoid a lot of damage.

In terms of durability, the light is also pretty darn waterproof. I've used it in rain and while in a building with the fire suppression system going, and it did fine. It's not a dive light, but I did put it in 5" of water while on, and it was fine. The light is very water-resistant and chemicals don't seem to bother it. It's also shock-resistant. Put those together with a good output, a cheap power source, and a low cost, and this becomes the ideal light for a disaster bag. Many members of the local Red Cross Disaster Services, including myself, have this light in their bag.

My dad had a version of this flashlight for many years. He used it all the time and loved it, so naturally I looked for this model when I wanted a similar flashlight. It took a while to find because the name had worn off on my dad's light, so I had no idea what to search for.

I bought my first one about 9 months ago and have liked it so far. I just ordered my second to keep in my car. This light is pretty sturdy, gives enough light for what I want it for (mostly close up things) and I haven't changed the batteries yet. Unfortunately the price went up (used to be $15), but I think it is still worth it.

It is a simple handheld flashlight. Nothing fancy, but it does the job well. I appreciate that it is long enough to fit nicely in my hand.

I use this flashlight almost daily for my job, and have found it to be a great little light. While some of my co-workers have brighter (and more expensive) flashlights, this one can hold its own in many regards. What I like the most about it is that it is tough. I have dropped it too many times to count, on hard pavement and concrete, with no ill effects. What really surprised me was that it was still working after I accidentally ran it through full cycles in both the washer and dryer, twice in two weeks! It always works, and the batteries last longer than you would expect. I don't hesitate to recommend this light for anyone's tool bag. It is much much better than the 2aa mini mag light that it replaced.

*edit/update 2/14: Just ran it through the washer and dryer yet again. Pulled it out, hit the button and it still works great.

I do suffer from having too many flashlights, but only because I hadn't found this one yet. There are few other flashlights that use standard batteries, light weight, LED, push button switch, and are not made of aluminum so you can put it between your teeth if needed.

This is the greatest flashlight you could ever own. It outperforms most larger flashlights and with a holder can be carried on your belt without being uncomfortable. I've worked night security and also use it at night at home. I also have a Stinger XT H/P that is supposed to have a much higher candlepower rating but my Strion seems to out perform it. Like I said it is the best I've ever owned.

It is a very nice light , I also have the surfire light and I wouldn't say it's twice as bright as the "C2", I would say it is slightly brighter. The biggest advantage is it's rechargeable and it has an adjustable beam. If you don't care about those 2 features you may want to look into the surefire C2 for half the price.

This listing is for the Streamlight 74001, but what shows up when you get it is the 74000. I don't know what the difference between the two is, but there's that.

Also, the description kind of makes it sound like you're getting a charger with the flashlight, but your totally not. The user uploaded photos of the flashlight and charger was kind of confusing also, plus there are a couple reviews of people saying they got the charger. The product description section of the flashlight says "Special Features: AC/DC Charger", so you kind of get the idea that there's a charger included, but I guess what they meant was that the flashlight is rechargeable. The invoice from OutdoorPros says "light only", so obviously I wasn't meant to get the charger with the flashlight.

Kind of a bummer, as I wanted a rechargeable flashlight so that I could charge the thing between uses. Had I realized, I would have bought the thing elsewhere and got the charger too, but oh well.

As far as the flashlight is concerned, it works awesome and I'm stoked it came pre-charged so that I can use it while I take my time being butthurt that I have to spend another $30 on the charger.

Honest reviews on Streamlight 74001 Strion 5-1/2-Inch Flashlight 120-Volt AC/12-Volt

I purchased the Streamlight Strion with the xenon bulb. It is an awesome light. I have used surefire lights and love how bright they are, but for as much as I use the light I can not afford to feed them batteries. The Rechargeable feature of the strion makes it like having a fresh set of batteries in every time, without the outrageous cost of batteries like those used by surefire lights while being just as bright. Rechargeable battery life is good and has not disappointed me yet. I use my light 30+ times a day at my job for any duration of time from momentary to several minutes straight. Battery life and power are still strong after a year of daily use and abuse, in all climates from 130 degs F to below 0 deg F.

You should consider what you want the light to do before deciding on LED or xenon bulb. LED projects more light, but the xenon beam will hold together for a longer, more penetrating beam. Make the right decision for your lights use and you won't be disappointed.

The size and weight of the light makes it great to carry all day, every day. While it is small and convenient to carry, it still provides excellent light.

I finally received my new Strion flashlight from Amazon after having to e-mail customer service. The delivery was very slow for some reason. Nevertheless, the light comes with both AC and DC cords and one base. I wasn't sure what would come with it. I got it for 65 and I see now it's gone up slightly.

A co-worker showed up to work one day with one and I knew then I had to get one. I have had two Stingers and I'm a big fan of them. If this Strion is anything like the Stingers I'm sure it will be my favorite. It is very small and lightweight. I'd definitely recommend it, especially to those in uniform wanting a smaller light on their belt.

Stay safe out there!

I needed two flush mount ceiling lights and I was eyeing this one for a while. There were plenty of other choices and many cheaper but this Ledino has a great look without being over done. It were exactly what I expected once I received them. The fixture is well made and looks like a quality item. It's a little tricky getting the mounting screws into the ceiling box but once done you just secure a glass plate with the little screw in the middle and voila!

These put off quite a bit of light and it is indeed pretty warm which is what I wanted for indoors. They look great lit up. Modern without being something from a sci-fi movie. One thing to note. They are dimmable but finding a dimmer that will work at your local do-it-yourself store is hard. I tried two and both caused the fixture to hum loudly.

Other than that I am completely satisfied.

I was tired of tapping my hardwired under-cabinet lights with wet or messy hands while cooking, baking, or preparing any kind of food over my counters. Even more annoying the under cabinet lights built with my kitchen have three settings. The first tap is very dim I cant see anything so I have to tap the lights again for the bright setting, but if I accidentally tapped to fast they lights would go to off (setting #3). They were nice at first but the appeal quickly wore off because I was unhappy with the functionality. Plus I think they are halogen, not LED.

The options in the wireless under cabinet lighting arena are fairly limited. Most of the lights you have to tap, click, or wave your hands right under the light to again be disappointed with the light output. I tried a few including the hockey puck Dragon Light by Sylvania, They weren't for me so they were returned to Stop and Shop.

I have a few Mr Beams lights for the backyard so naturally I was curious as to how these would perform, WOW. I can see and I have light exactly when I need it without having to touch anything, make a mess, or shake hands with the invisible man under my cabinets. When you approach the counter or even the middle of your kitchen the lights will turn on after sensing your motion. I can walk up to the sink to wash my hands or do the dishes and I don't have to turn any lights on. I can use the cutting board and have enough light to prepare food. These lights are small but they pack a serious punch in the light department.

The other part I thoroughly enjoy are their sleek look. I had visitors over last night and they asked "Where did you get those!?!" extra cool points for me. They have a nice wow factor.

I could see how these might also be useful in workshops, laundry rooms, in the pantry, under a desk, in drawers....the list could go on and on they are very thin and can fit nearly anywhere.

Amazon has a picture of one light next to and iphone, the length is almost identical to an iphone. I would say the height is about the size of one iphone on top of another, so pretty thin. They don't look bulky or anything. That should give you roughly an idea of the look before you buy.

There are two different ways you can mount these, I chose the double sided tape. The tape is very strong I can practically hang from the ceiling myself with it. They aren't going anywhere.

Overall I give this one an A+. You wont be disappointed!

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program What a good idea. These lights work on batteries 4 AA each. They can be mounted with screws (included) or double sided tape (also included). You can set them for a short time on by an internal switch and also by placing the sensor in front or back how sensitive it is for motion. They are easy to install, with the exception of sliding the cover off and on, but it gets easier, each time it is done.

The obvious place to use them is under kitchen cabinets for more light. We have used one for a dark corner where the coffee maker is a great help early in the morning; but there are so many other possibilities under a bathroom cabinet over a sink might be one and then the place we used ours. We have a media cabinet where I literally have put a flashlight in order to see what the settings for recording programs and working with the various gizmos down there are. Well with this under the shelf... voila as soon as my hands go under to put in a DVD or try to set recording time there is light wonderful!

Best Deals for Mr. Beams MB852 Indoor Wireless Slim LED Light with Motion Sensor

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program Originally I gave this item 4 stars, but both lights have stopped working after a few weeks.

It will start saying on for a long time, when it is supposed to only stay on about 20 or 30 seconds. And when it does go off, it will stay off for 2 or 3 seconds then come back on again for another long time. The result is that it is on most of the time and will use up your batteries.

P.S. Even the replacement products that were sent to me quit working. I DO NOT recommend this product. You will be sorry if you spend money on this product.

Honest reviews on Mr. Beams MB852 Indoor Wireless Slim LED Light with Motion Sensor

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program Contrary to the many popular reviews I found this product to be seriously lacking in the quality control department. I used these lights under kitchen cabinets to illuminate two dark areas in the kitchen. The installation is very quick and the double sided tape that can be used (rather than the screws that are provided) was the ONLY redeemable quality. The tape is extremely sticky and will securely hold this product in place so be sure of your placement once you're ready to install because you'll probably NOT be able to switch placement once it's in place.

The down side (and there were many) when the product was initially installed, I noticed that each of the lights would illuminate for differing times. There is a switch to have the lights illuminate for 20 seconds (minimum setting) or 60 seconds (maximum setting). I switched both of mine to the max setting and neither would illuminate for 60 seconds when it would sense motion. It always illuminated for far less than 60 seconds therefore I'd be working on the countertop and the lights were constantly flickering on and off at differing intervals. My lights were placed about 3 feet apart so I thought that when I'm centered between the lights doing kitchen prep work, they'd be sensing equal amounts of motion and stay on. Unfortunately, this didn't happen. I also noticed that one unit seemed to be much more sensitive than the other. Later (and I'm talking about 1-week), the unit that was LESS sensitive wouldn't turn off and it completely drained the batteries in very short order. Each light requires 4 AA batteries which gets rather expensive to operate if the batteries need changed once a week (I was using Duracell Copper top batteries). According to the directions, the batteries will last around 40-hours therefore when a unit doesn't shut off it won't take long for the batteries to drain. Furthermore, when the batteries are being depleted, the light that is being emitted gets dimmer and dimmer so you eventually end up with a gray beam of light.

I thought this was a great concept and was excited to give the product a whirl however after replacing the batteries in both units in less than 10-days, I've decided to relocate these lights to the garage area with instructions for my husband to use them ONLY with rechargeable batteries. Regardless of where you use these lights rechargeable batteries are highly encouraged.

This product simply was not what I was looking for in my kitchen so I'm back to looking for wired under cabinet lighting.

I put one on under each cabinet on the sides of he sink area. Those areas were shaded from the light over the sink, and if you were standing there working beside the sink, your body shaded the light from the kitchen lights. Now even in the dark, when I approach the sink, two nice lights come on and flood the counter tops. I just ordered 2 more for the shop and humm,,,.

Tonight our small, black Yorkshire Terrier ran out the front door as my wife was walking in. It's Christmas night, cold and pitch black outside. Great... the dog usually runs 2 blocks before we see it, and we average about 40 minutes getting it back... in the daylight.

I pull on a coat, and grab 2 nearly identical Maglites from the drawer.

The rechargable MAGCharger RE1019 has a silver band. The other is an old-school Mag with 3 fresh D-cell alkaline batteries. They're about the same size and weight.

I hand one to my wife, turn the other on and start walking. She got the D-cell and can see maybe 50' in front of her.

I bought the RE1019 back in September on Amazon. I'm not sure I've used it before in a situation where I needed to light up our neighborhood, or where I was so keenly aware of the beam's strength and intensity (try finding a small black dog in a residential neighborhood, on Christmas night, with the alternative to not finding the dog being that you must explain to your sobbing children that you couldn't find their dog... you get the idea).

Let me tell you... this is one INCREDIBLY BRIGHT light. It throws a beam a city block. Literally. I was lighting up driveways 5 houses away. Same weight as a 3 D-cell, same size, but the difference in the beam strength and intensity is AMAZING.

I love MAG lites. Always have. I carried one when I worked security in college 25 years ago, and have owned many since then. This is the brightest and best I've ever owned. The rechargeable feature is great.

I'm buying another one and giving the old 3 D-cell away. Maybe I'll buy 2 more.

I have owned the classic MAG rechargable flashlight since 1984. Back then I worked in EMS in an urban setting and carried it at all times. Needless to say the flashlight was used as a hammer, a wheel chock and other things not intended by the manufacturer. I have replaced the lens once due to my fault. I have had only 4 or 5 batteries after all these years. I also had to send it back to Mag for some type of recall for the switch assembly. It was repaired and returned in a week. It had spent much of its post EMS life mounted in my car on the left side of the driver's seat. When I got a luxury SUV I was not drilling holes for the mounting bracket. It now spends its time sitting in a charger mounted in my home office. Becaue it is visible to other parts of the house, someone once asked me why I don't paint it. I am proud of the scratches or "battle scars" on the barrel. The MAG just can't be beat for durability. Truely adjustable focus from spot to flood with a simple twist. I still use the original style halogen bulb which has been replaced once or twice. When I first bought this I had also considered the Streamlight SL-20 which several friends bought. My friends regretted their choice. I have nothing but MAG flashlights all over my house and at least one in each car.

I've been using this same basic flashlight for 20+ years now in my job as an auto mechanic. It's the one tool I use on virtually every job, and it is a real workhorse. The one drawback with my older model lights was that the switches would eventually wear out, and Maglight will not sell a repair kit for the switch/socket ass'y. Hopefully, the new electronic on/off switch will hold up better.

Honest reviews on MAGLITE RE1019 Heavy-Duty Rechargeable Flashlight System, Black

I have had one of these for years. I purchased this one as a gift. It always works, in a blackout, you will have the brightest flashlight on the block. MagLite stands behind all of their products, if you ever have an issue, just contact them and they will repair your unit. Everybody should have one of these in the house and one in the garage.

Without question, this is the best and most reliable flashlight ever built. Do NOT let the cost turn you away, it is worth every penney! Mine is now 12 years old! Last year, I upgraded to the new Nimh battery, but a new battery every 11 or 12 years for about $20 makes this a very worthwhile investment. I would have spent more than $20 Each and every year (11 or 12 times) on D-cells if I had bought a regular flashlight. Also, back in the days of buying regular D-cell flashlights, I was buying them at least annually. Again, the ruggedness and durability of this flashlight are amazing making it not only cost effective, but the most reliable and dependable torch on the market. Mine is left hanging on the wall in the charging cradle all the time, so it is always ready to go. I bought a second cradle with the 12V adapter that I have mounted to the wall of my motorhome so when I go camping, I just bring my magcharger along and I am ready to go. Someday, I may buy another one, but I'm not sure why I would need it when one has served me so well for 12 years and with Life time support from Mag, one should last a lifetime, or longer, when I pass it down to my kids.

I purchased this through a company on the web (not Amazon) and I was thinking about selling it on Ebay. I have it in the garage in the event we have a power outage, a hurricane, etc. To date, we've not had any power issues and it's been living next to the bags of dog food, laundry baskets and empty ice chests. I pull it out every few months to "charge" it...but it has seemed to hold a charge well and there's probably nothing more than topping off. Being a lead acid device it never hurts to top it off.

This was designed and built by Pelican and it was part of the Pelican RALS configuration...as best I can tell their first generation (before they dropped the weight by 10 lbs...and before they redesigned the unit entirely). The configuration I have has two 12 volt outlets on the back of the case which can be utilize without opening it. The two 12 volt outlets are of the cigarette lighter design with a rubber cover over each of the outlets. The newer generation has a power port where you can charge the entire unit without opening the case, but this isn't with my unit.

The good is that it's well built and designed. It uses what appears to be Bogen / Manfrotto (camera gear) hardware to mount the light as it's essentially equipment I've used in the television and film industry for lighting equipment. The pole is housed in the Pelican case lid and you attach the base as well as the light holder onto the pole and mount the entire pole assembly on a mounting plate affixed to the lid of the case. The mounting plate is very well mounted, as are all the items inside the case.

The light head is comprised of several rows of what seems to be 60 lumen LED assemblies with a removable clear diffuser so as to allow the light to be...well, diffused or spread out... The power cable is permanently attached to the light with a strain release and there is an on off switch at the base of the light head.

The description I read made me believe there were different power settings. There aren't... It's full bore until the battery starts to drop. If you want a longer run time you can do what I do and use a 12volt car jump box (the boxes with a battery and two jumper cables and a cigarette lighter) to operate the light head if you need a longer run time.

The Pelican case isn't anything to sneeze at either as I have 4 or 5 of these already which I use for all sorts of things from camera equipment to misc. gear. They're rugged, they have wheels with a pull up handle and it can take whatever abuse you can throw at it along with being watertight. The cases alone generally sell for $100-$150, but this one has a battery, battery charger, and other misc. equipment in it so it's pretty much going to be what it is for the life of the unit.

I honestly think you could get out cheaper if you purchased a hand-held 12volt light, such as a "trouble light" with a 12 volt cigarette lighter cord and you plug it into a car jump box. I've done this with one of these light heads (I had another light head that was separate and I used it with the jump box). This was lighter, but no real ability to mount the light up high like the enclosed pole will allow.

The bad is that the whole thing is heavy. It probably runs full bore for about 9 hours and the extension pole doesn't seem like it would take a great deal of abuse (you certainly couldn't lean on it and it seems like it would be an issue if the light head...which is fairly rugged and somewhat heavy...was mounted in the wind).

Would I purchase it again? No... I do fire and rescue and it's really too much trouble to lug around. We have light towers on the trucks and I have some fairly powerful flashlights. At home I have mounted emergency lights and I have 8 of the DeWalt fluorescent type. I hang them up whenever we have a problem with a storm, the 18 volt batteries run the lights for about 4 hours and they take 1 hour to charge up when you get the generator fired up.

Since I already have this, it's probably too heavy to ship if I do sell it on Ebay and I'm going to have it in the garage in the event we have an outage, etc. It will light up a room somewhat like a regular overhead (generally) and it is a really heavy duty configuration.

I'm writing this not to tell you not to purchase it. You may have an application which is perfect. Generally these were marketed for about $900 $1000 originally, but I think they were rebranded with the Klein name. I have purchased probably 30-40 Pelican cases over the past 30 years and I can tell you they're keepers. One I'm using right now is about 20 years old and it still carries fairly expensive and sensitive equipment just like the day I purchased it. (Your gear is only as good as the case you carry it in...too many folks take short cuts and they wonder why their equipment was damaged...)

LOVE this light! I'm a DJ and I've had to load my equipment after outdoor gigs in near-pitch darkness. The light is bright and the unit is adjustable so I can move it around and see what I'm doing when taking down the speakers, gathering everything up, checking to make sure I'm not leaving anything behind, and then making my way down dark pathways. On occasion, I've had to let vendors who didn't plan for loading in darkness use it. Practically everyone who's seen the light in action wants to get one just like it. Designers Edge/Ecozone makes similar lights, but you simply can't beat the L1313 because it's rechargeable!

I ordered 12 of those to use those for light in my garage, what i noticed is that right out the box 3 were nice and bright and the other once were so so .....

After running the lights for about three months about two hours a day three of those lights are already burned out. A bunch of the other ones are getting really dim.

As a replacement ordered a few of those 10 watt outdoor LEDs and those are much brighter than these 6.5 Watt here and the 10 watt also have not burned out yet.

Battery life not as advertised but does work and is bright. You really have to use the cord when using unless it's for an hour. Quality low had to return won't take a charge after a month. I would wait for a better battery and more LEDS included.

I installed a dozen or more of the Malibu Cast Metal Tier Lights a few years ago and since then I have had to replace many of them over time. I can tell you some of the problems I have encountered.

I really don't like the connectors because they often become loose and then the light goes off. Also, the teeth broke off on one or two lights. I just discovered that Pacific Bay (sold at Orchard Supply Hardware) makes an identical light with a much better, more secure connector.

The four bolts that connect the fixture top can rust and become difficult or impossible to remove when it becomes time to replace the light bulb. So what I do to prevent that is I tighten the bolts, and then I loosen them about a quarter turn. That does the trick. You can also spray a little WD-40 if necessary.

Another problem I have encountered with these lamps is that some of them have broken off at the base for no apparent reason other than they were old.

And one other thing, the plastic globe can become brittle and break apart after a few years.

I ordered four, one arrived DOA; one of the two 'teeth' that cuts into the cable and makes the electrical connection dropped out of the light into the grass. It is small and was never found. Bottom line is the light isn't usable. The other three worked OK.

Four bolts inserted from the top hold the fixture together. I can imagine they will be rusted and difficult or impossible to remove in a year when a bulb burns out.

Bottom line inexpensive but so-so.

We have 12 of these lights that have worked for years for us lighting up our walkway. One broke last winter and we looked everywhere for one replacement. It looked like we would have to replace everything until I found the exact match on Amazon. Thank you! : )

Combine these with the LED replacement bulbs and you have a winner these are quite a bit more expensive at the local hardware store.. they have LED versions at the store, but with non-replaceable bulbs.. order these with the LED replacement bulbs for less.

I installed these a few years ago around the front of my house. They're set up to turn on at dusk and off at dawn. The bulbs just started burning out recently, so you get a little over a couple of years with these before needing a bulb replacement. I didn't experience any rust problems with the bolts like other reviewers said and all 10 of them have been working as advertised. Occasionally, you have to hit the lamp or wiggle it around to get the light to turn on the electrical connections could be better. Overall, however, I like the lights and will buy more for my backyard as soon as I get the time to install them.

Nothing fancy. Just a replacement for the original that works just like the original. I would not hesitate to purchase another.

Expensive as can be but they do work.... The first one lasted 3 years and went through approx 50 batteries so it was used, abused and dropped several times.... I like this light well enough that I bought a second one just like it... This bulb really puts out some light but the "123 batts." are short lived, so carry extras and use sparingly....

Ordered a spare bulb. Have to wait too long in case one blows. Keep a couple on hand only because the wait is too long.

I used these to replace the lightbulbs that were burned out in the dash of my Jeep Grand Cherokee. They fit perfectly and soldered right in!

If you're going to go through the trouble of getting to the

spots in your car where these little lights are, you might as well

go all the way and save the extra money on not buying the OEM

lights(for me at least $20 for two) in their little holders and just replace the actual burned out bulb

with these little bulbs which cost pennies each. Just remember to save

the brackets and/or bulb holders from the burnt out bulbs.

I would recommend this product for the serious do-it-yourselfer.

recording only one message is a down side. but this thing bring fun to my family. my mom would leave a message telling my dad when he comes back to work what is cooked in the fridge, so that he can find himself something to eat. my dad would leave a message for my mom that when he is coming back from work and make fun of her in the message. --well, just a message, does not need any extra storage room for the other messages. and it just brings some smile into life through this little convenient message reminder~

This is very useful if you just need a simple and quick audio reminder. It can be a short message for yourself or for someone else in the household. Great for the refrigerator. The magnet is really quite strong, it will not fall unless you accidentally bump it hard. It is also great at the front door if you have a steel door.

It is a digital clock, but the LCD display is too small that you will have to really squint and look closer to see the time.

Made in china.

Cons:

requires 4 "AA's" batteries. Make it to use only 2 batteries and it will be less heavy and less bulky.

20 seconds only. Very out of date in terms of capacity. How much is a meg anyway?

Arrived on time as described. Unfortunately, unless I am incapable of operating this, it only holds one message at a time. Utility is very limited.

This is a great fixture I had a handyman install it, which did not take long. The only issue I really have with it is because you can adjust the spacing of the lights on the track, at first some of them would wiggle loose and cause the strip to go out had to reach up and jiggle it around to get it back on but once in firmly no issues. It looks great with a dimmer and is easily adjustable.

used it to update kitchen that had old ugly tract lighting in it. it looks great and puts out good light. reasonable price especially when compared to something similar at lowes which cost twice as much. love amazon.

Received the product today and it appears this item was already returned as the power supply cords and mounting hardware were missing. One light had a pretty big dent in it as well. Item has already been packed up and ready to send back. Hopefully round #2 goes better.

Honest reviews on Nuvo TK354 Brushed Nickel MR16 Round Back Track Lighting Kit

After installation I discovered that none of the lighting fixtures made good enough contact to work properly. I had to twist the track to alter the profile and managed to get two of the lights to illuminate while I held the track twisted. I've never seen a track lighting kit with such poor workmanship and quality. I would suggest that you not bother to purchase this kit for it would be a waste of money.

I bought this because the MR16 fixture in our old place needed to be replaced, and when I took it down, I had four LED bulbs with the small two needle-style prongs left over.

So, rather than spend the extra money on new bulbs for what seems to be the universal GU10 fixtures, I thought, heck, let's search by bulb type and get a fixture that way.

This seemed perfect. The title says "Nuvo TK354 Brushed Nickel MR16 round back track lighting kit". The description says MR16 bulbs. The Nuvo product website says MR16 bulbs for this product. So I expected to have a lighting fixture that showed up, with three fixtures, that were intended for MR16 light bulbs.

I mean, it makes sense, right? You order GFCI power outlets, you expect that they are, indeed, rated for GFCI usage instead of, say, double-pronged holes with asbestos wiring from the 1920s. That's the whole "has what it says on the tin" theory. What is in the box is what should be in the box.

So what shows up? A busted, torn box with two GU10 fixtures missing screws and attaching hardware, instead of my expected fully-equipped, 3 fixture MR16 track lighting.

Not only is the box busted (and appears to have been retaped, which is never, EVER a good sign, especially if it's been shipped for a Saturday express delivery SERIOUSLY, GUYS) but it's also supposed to come with three, not two lamp fixtures. A careful count and recount results in a grand total of TWO fixtures for this product. I think to myself, well, it says MR16/GU10 on the box, so perhaps the fixture plugs actually mean it has both MR16 AND GU10 adapter holes?

Nope. These are GU10 fixture heads, NOT MR16. Even poking the holes in a sad, futile attempt to think to myself, "Okay, maybe if I duct-taped the bulbs it would work and not catch on fire" made me realize that whoever put this thing together has a very low comprehension of things like "appropriate part compatibility labeling" and/or "Truth in advertising". Specifically, I'm looking at Amazon for the last one, because I purchased it with the express note that this was NOT a GU10 track system.

No, really. There is NOTHING on the Amazon site that implies or suggests it could possibly include GU10 fixtures instead of MR16. I checked a few times just to make sure I wasn't imagining things. I also checked the box a few times to make sure I wasn't imagining that there weren't any screws or caps included, and that there were indeed only two fixtures.

And you know, if I, say, OWNED GU10 bulbs, or felt like spending another $80 on new bulbs for the fixture instead of using the existing bulbs I have, I might be okay with that.

But right now I'm short a fixture head, some screws, and I have a product I spent extra money getting shipped so I can finish a project over the weekend that is not what is advertised in the product label or in the box.

I'm positive that if you expect GU10 bulb fixtures or don't have a specific MR16 fixture requirement this would probably suit you just fine. At this point, though, I'm thoroughly irked with the product and do not recommend it simply based on the fact that even the BOX says "MR16/GU10". So if you have your heart set on this, don't buy new bulbs until you get the fixture itself and decide that you're going to keep it.

It's also entirely possible that somewhere out there someone with a bunch of GU10 LED bulbs is going, "THE HECK IS THIS? I wanted GU10 fixtures, not MR16 fixtures! This is crap and totally not what I wanted at all!"

All I have to say to that guy is: I completely understand where you're coming from, man, and just do what I'm doing: Return With Prejudice and let people know how you really feel.
