It's not fancy, it's extremely well designed and reliably robust at a very fair cost, looks as if it should have a AA size battery rather than the AAA at first. I paid about $2.98 plus MI sales tax at a Miejer store going on about 3 years ago never thinking it would hold up to the amount unscrewing the switch end for frequent Ni-HI battery changes and the many tens of times a day of on off cycles I put the switch through. Its still working as flawlessly as a decent ballpoint pen would, and just that simple too. It's jumbo looking LED, not super white, just a very bright white-blue. I have with me around the house all the time and another to take with me on my medical rounds. I'll always be trying out fancier and more expensive LED penlights but very basic one is totally worthwhile.

I installed these under my kitchen cabinets and am very happy with them. I have a power outlet in an upper cabinet where the microwave plugs in. I plugged the LED power supply into the extra plug. I then drilled holes inside the cabinets and ran the wiring down to the bottom of the cabinets. The LEDs come with self-stick tape but I didn't think it would adhere to the particle board cabinet bottom very well so I chose to use the supplied screws to mount the LEDs under the cabinets. I did put one LED on the bottom of the microwave and used the self-stick tape without an issue. If you do this be sure and clean the mounting surface as any grease or oil splatter will prevent the tape from sticking.

I purchased three of these Dimmable PAR38 LED Lights because the builder-grade 13o-volt spotlights were dying. I have always suspected that dimmers slowed the rush into filaments and extended the life of the bulbs, so the twelve years I got out of the builder bulbs was sufficient. For regular table lamps, I started replacing 60-wayy bulbs with compact CFL bulbs, but they often don't present enough load for home automation switches, like the traditional X-10 wall warts. Since these dimmers were probably not going to be remotely controlled, I wasn't worried about the load, and I would not expect these to work with that. Your mileage may vary.

The Solor Metal Black Post Cap is a fine product. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the workmanship and material. The product works perfectly and the LED lights give off a very appealing moonlight color. I also appreciated that each cap has an on/off slider switch. If I had any concerns it would be that the on/off slider switch on one of the three lights purchased is a little harder to move than the other two.

EDIT: This was a great bulb till it died a month later. I contacted the manufacturer and they stated they can not warranty the bulb, in spite of it stating a 2 Year Warranty on the package. They said I have to go through Amazon. Amazon states I can no longer return the bulbs.

If you are looking for a small light, this one is great. I use it at night to read by instead of the little book lights that tend to not give out much light and batteries run down quickly. This is also good to use when sitting outside.

For the money, you can't beat it. It arrived very fast and was easy to install. Super bright halogen light gives you almost daylight outside at night.

I received one of these timers (50009) as a warranty replacement for a similar model that quit. Right out of the box, this new timer also malfunctioned. Similar to many other reviews, when the timer shuts off the controlled appliance, it erases all the time/date programs and resets itself. I called the manufacturer and spoke to their customer service rep (Vicki (847) 672-2300) who initially said this was the first time they had ever heard of this problem. When I explained that there are several reviewers on Amazon complaining of the same issue with this same timer, she put me on hold while she spoke to her colleagues. When she returned she said certain areas of the country have a power problem (noise) that could cause the timer to reset itself, and suggested I try using a surge protector as one of the other reviewers on Amazon mentioned. Alternately sometimes the product you are trying to switch on and off can, generate noise, which could also cause the timer to reset. Since both of these potential problems are beyond their control, she wouldn't refund the purchase price of the original timer, or replace the replacement timer which was now 2 days old. Her logic was that their policy is "no refunds" and since their position is that the malfunction is caused by either noisy power to the timer or a noisy appliance being switched, replacing the timer won't help. Therefore, under the circumstances there is nothing they can or will do. Quite frankly, I am flabbergasted that such a large company would take such a ridiculous position on an an issue that is clearly a design problem but I guess all I can do is to warn others to avoid this timer and to be aware of the manufacturer's creative excuses for why they are not responsible when their product doesn't work. Fortunately the timer was inexpensive so it's not a huge loss to simply put it in the trash but Coleman Cable (Woods) has lost at least 1 potential customer for all their proudcts.
