These are cheep. Work great as you would expect. they are likely not waterproof like some of the nicer ones although I did not try it out. they feel cheaply made but are a good deal. Im glad I got them. Got one on multiple key chains and in back packs. Th hold on switch does work and hasnt broken as of yet. You probably wont regret getting them unless you want something you can abuse.

I use the low power flood when doing early morning/late night farm chores and switch to spot and scan a 1/5 mile perimeter for coyotes/exotic invasives when I pass my pond. This light is everything I need in one package, comfortable, and easy to turn on and off with heavy gloves. No complaints with functionality at all. I wish it could come in an all black version looks geeky enough without the bright orange.

I purchased 2 of these to replace older units where the plastic light fixtures has cracked off the main body due to age and brittle plastic. The installation was a breeze...I mounted the plastic backing plate, wired up the power connection with the included wirenuts, plugged in the battery and snapped it onto the wall. (Don't forget to plug in the battery pack...it comes disconnected in the box) Took about 15 minutes each, including removing the old fixtures.
After the batteries had some time to charge, I tested them out and the lights are very bright, so much so that I was able to see them well enough to aim them without turning off the main lights in the hallway. Very pleased for the price and if things go as advertised, I should continue to save money on replacing batteries as I frequently had to to with the old lead battery fixtures.
Only downside is that with the oval shape, I now need to paint the wall where you can see the marks from the old square-shaped fixture.
These have a larger battery than most LED EM lights because they're designed to be able to power 2 additional, outboard lights (sold seperatly). I use them by themselves because I prefer the extra run-time. In my testing they ran at full brightness for about 2 hours, and then slowly started to get dimmer. After 5.5 hours they were still on at aprox 1/3 brightness.
My previous incandescent lights ran for 90 100 minutes and then suddenly turned off. Also,. the conventional lights have a lead-acid battery that goes bad every few years. Supposedly these Ni-Mh batteries will last much longer.

I have a light fixture in my garage right above where the garage door rail is. There is only about 1 and a half inches to fit a light bulb. Rather than keep the fixture open, I wanted to install a small enough bulb. This worked.
Thinking back, I probably could have found something at the Hardware store, but am happy with my purchase.Well i bought this bulb for cheap for my lava lamp ive had for 6 years or so but no bulb because it broke after i got da lamp and i coudnt find a dam r14 40watt small bulb this company did so im glad i finally found somewhere to get replacement bulb for my lamp :) and its still awsome

I am enjoying these Lighted Bows.. It says reusable, you just have to figure how to do this. If you are giving this as a gift. Just them know to reuse them. But they will look good under the tree for Christmas. But if you get a lot of them for all the gifts then each night you have turn them off, to save the battery.

Discount Exit Sign Led Light Bulbs (White)

Our Bosch kitchen range hood uses candelabra-type bulbs and we go through them fairly often since we use it as a night light. Even the 145 volt "exit sign" lights didn't last more than six months. It was the discovery of an LED replacement for the always-on "exit light" that brought my purchase reviewed here.
These bulbs have the blue-white color typical of early "white" LEDs," but it's not as irritating behind the light diffuser in the range hood, as it might have been in, say, a decorative fixture for general illumination. The blue-white color is actually rather cool as a night light in the kitchen.
However, while our driveway lamp also uses the candelabra-type socket, these would be rather ugly exposed behind clear glass.
The bulbs are longer than standard "exit light" incandescent bulbs, so make sure there's enough clearance in whatever lamp fixture they will be used in. For the range hood, the traditional length simply goes into an area beyond the sheet metal that holds the socket/reflector components.
Additionally, since there is no appreciable heat from these LED bulbs, we hope to prolong the life of the rather fragile plastic light diffuser/cover that goes over the bulbs.
Here's hoping they last as long as claimed.

We needed an accent piece to hang in the corner of our covered deck. I had never purchased a solar lantern before but this lantern is so pretty I thought I would give it a try. For some reason I thought it was going to be heavy weight paper but it is actually made from "durable weather resistant nylon". Good thing considering we live in Seattle. The flowers are colorful and will certainly be pretty at night. I just got it so the battery has not charged/collected energy yet to see the illumination at night and I am anxious to see it glow. Comes with a rechargeable AAA battery which is nice.
I like the fact that the instructions were very clear and included images as well as text. Seems like a small thing but after I unpacked it, my 8 year old assembled it. She then took it to her room thinking it was a new light for her. :) A great purchase for any outside living area and apparently the indoors too! I will review again once we have a sunny light-filled day and the solar feature has an opportunity to kick in.
8/17/13 > following up to say it glows beautifully at night. It is a nice touch to our back deck living area.

(2008 HOLIDAY TEAM)This is a very efficient and small night light. It is six inches across, two inches wide and sticks out from the wall about one inch. It can be installed with an adhesive pad or with mounting holes and screws. It's one of the easiest setups ever. Just load three AAA batteries (not included) in the side compartment and set it to the wall.
Two sets of (4) four LED lights are bright enough to shine the way safely. It's amazing that the sensor can detect `motion' from as far away as sixteen (15) feet and with an angle of 60 degrees, which is adjustable to shine up or down. You determine how to set your best angle of light either the same direction or alternating. That means you can place this at the top or foot of the stairs or in a hallway where you might have night traffic. It instantly shines on and then turns off automatically a few seconds after no motion is detected. If you need the light to stay on longer, simply make a 'motion' within the detector's range.
It also stays off during the day and only begins to `sense' when light is reaches a certain ambience or low-level. The "ON/OFF/AUTO switch" is small and exists in the bottom of the unit. This will easily last several years on those batteries.
Imagine just stubbing your toe once and compare it to the price of this unit. It's a keeper. This and the sensor mentioned above are both fantastic products from `hipe' and a great deal for the price. Product generously supplied by manufacturer for an honest review.
This is an 8 LED motion sensing night light that operates on three AAA batteries. It is ideal to mount in a hall, closet, basement, attic, near a staircase, in a child's room, garages, bedrooms or in a bathroom. It uses a PIR (Passive Infrared) to sense a warm body to detect motion and in addition it senses whether it is light or dark in the area where it is mounted. It has a three position switch on the bottom that has OFF/Automatic/On settings. Off means that it does not operate, On means that it stays on and Auto means that when it senses darkness and motion it will come on and stay on. When the light no longer senses motion it will go off in about 50 seconds.
There are two LED panels and each one has 4 LEDs in them. You can adjust the panels within a 90 degree range and direct the light where you want it to be. The motion sensor can detect motion up to 15 feet away and within a beam angle of 60 degrees from the front of the sensor. The unit comes with a brief instruction sheet, mounting screws and anchors an adhesive Velcro pads. There is a removable back plate that allows you to mount the plate to the wall with Velcro pads and then quickly mount the light in a tool less manner. There is no wiring or tools required to use the light when mounted this way. The light can also be slid sideways and removed from the wall bracket and turned to the On position to act a flashlight in an emergency.
It operates on three AAA batteries that are not supplied. The batteries will last for up to 1800 LED on/off cycles. The light is very bright. In my video I am filming in a very bright room and the LEDs are so bright they dim the camera picture. The LEDs have an average life cycle of 100000 hours when means they could be on two hours a night for 137 years of operation.
This product is ideal to mount near a stairway or an exit path to safely light your way at night when you have an emergency and a power outage. I rate this product at 5 stars.
I was supplied a sample for test and evaluation and I promised to provide a fair and honest review.
The unit is battery operated and takes 3 AA batteries (not included.) It has a switch which lets you turn it off or continuously on or automatic to only come on when movement is detected. The amount of light is just right for my small closets.
You can mount it using two screws and then attaching via the keyhole openings on the back of the light or you can use the supplied double sided tape on the separate plastic mounting bracket and then slide the light into place on the bracket.
Ivation suggests this for uses in hallways and other areas where it would be nice to have a light that comes on when you need it, but I prefer to have lights that are a safety feature to be the plug-in kind if an outlet is available. I don't want to find myself in a dark hallway one night because the batteries have depleted.
This light is best for use in closets and pantries or cabinets, in my opinion, when light is useful but not available. For applications like that, it works splendidly.
Note: I was provided a sample of this product for review purposes, but no promise was made or implied for a positive review.

There are two settings: "auto" where the light should only turn on when it is dark and there is motion, and "on" when it should always be on. However the light stayed on regardless of whether I had the switch at "auto" or "on". I even went outside on a sunny day, put it on "auto", and the light turned on and stayed on! Mine didn't work as a light or motion sensitive night light. It would function as a flashlight but I want a night light! I went to the company website and it says it is "under constructions", so I assume this is a new, foreign company with weak quality control.Honest reviews on Hipe 8 LED Automatic Motion-sensing Directional Night Light
I have a cat who is going blind and has been having trouble seeing while she's going up and down on two sets of stairs. There wasn't an outlet for a nightlight so I looked to Amazon for something that would work well and I found it! I ordered three of these lights. They are nice and bright giving her the light that she needs to see much, much better. In fact she's been playing with them making them turn on and off like it's a game. Anything new is always a toy to cats! ;) I'm so glad that they are helping her out and they help us too. We don't have to turn on the overhead light at night to go up and down the stairs. I decided to use the screws to mount the lights and they were very easy to install. I also like that they don't stick out very far from the wall so we won't be bumping into them. Being able to adjust the lights up or down is great also. It helps distribute the light more evenly in the area. The sensors work very well mounted low at cat level but still turn on for us humans. :) These are the best motion lights I've ever had and I'll probably order a couple more for more dark areas in the house. Love these lights and the kitty does too!Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Hipe 8 LED Automatic Motion-sensing Directional Night Light

I bought this to put in my trash bin to frighten raccoons away after opening the lid, jumping in, and making an awful mess. The light comes on when they open the top and they scurry. While it confused the trash collector the first time, he now appreciates the orderly garbage barrels. It survived a cold winter perfectly. I only hope that the raccoons found replacement grub. Great product for the price.
Some important things to consider when buying these lights is the quality of their sensors and microcontrollers. When something is wrong with either of these, your light's behavior will become erratic. I've had normal working lights turn off way earlier than they're supposed to, become insensitive or hypersensitive to motion, stop sensing motion completely, ignore daylight, or even reset while in operation.
These lights don't have any of those problems because of higher quality components. Don't get me wrong, the materials and finish are on the lower end easily scratched and will crack if dropped... but for me, those are way less important than the functionality.
They actually STAY ON if motion is still detected (many lights on here on Amazon claim to do this, but actually turn off after their set time and then turn back on after a few seconds if it still senses motion). If set to "Night" mode, they will not turn on if the surrounding light is bright enough (another thing many lights claim to do but do not).
A big bonus is that these are quite bright just 1 of them on the ceiling of my laundry room is enough for me to see what I'm doing.
And best of all, these only use 2 AA batteries each as opposed to the 4 AAA that most other units require.
All in all, I'm glad I found these. It's sad that such a solid, useful, better product like this is harder to find than the crappier motion lights on Amazon. They will be my go-to motion lights until a better model comes out!
EDIT 9/22/2013: One of my lights dropped 7 feet down onto concrete ground by accident (I have an unfinished basement). Unbelievably, the unit still works. There is a crack in the clear plastic cover, but the light still works flawlessly. I certainly did not expect it to survive a fall onto hard ground from that high up. Good stuff.
A couple days ago lighting knocked out the power and it was great not having to run around in the dark looking for flash lights as I walk through the house the light worked just the same.
There not as good as sliced bread but you could see the bread, So you could slice it if you wanted to.

I have a basement bathroom with a very dark, enclosed shower. The only available light is that which can filter through the shower curtain from the main bathroom. I bought this and mounted it high on the wall out of the main water splash level. Now, whenever you step into the shower, the light automatically comes on and stays on while you are moving around in the shower. It shuts itself off about a minute after you step out. We've had it installed now about a year and are still on the same two AA batteries!Best Deals for 8-LED Light Lamp PIR Auto Sensor Motion Detector
Good size. I like the fact that the batteries are located in front part just below the LED bulbs. Genius. That way, if you need to change batteries, you don't need to unscrew or unglue the back portion of the unit. Downside is the double-sided tape loses adhesion when exposed to sunlight. It has dropped a few occasions and have to screw it into the wall instead. Good value. Sensor range not far though. Just a couple of feet at most.Honest reviews on 8-LED Light Lamp PIR Auto Sensor Motion Detector
I've purchased quite a few different models of motion lights here on Amazon, from cheap 4$ ones to the more pricier ones at 15$ each. I just a couple of these there as bright or a little brighter than most of those LED flashlights they have a off auto on switch on one side and daylight or night switch on the other side. I set these to auto & night stuck one on the porch ceiling and one on the kitchen ceiling when you get within about 10-15' from them they turn on except during daylight and they stay on while your under them, they light up around a 20' circle there not bright enough to read the paper like a 5-10 watt bulb, but you can see around the hole room and you can see the light switches if you need a brighter light and they stay on about 30 seconds after you leave so when you walk down the hall they turn on as you get close and stay on as you leave and you don't have to run wires or anything. I'm going to put some more in the rest of the rooms in house. I have some other types I got on amazon that don't have the day night setting and there grate except the one over the front door the batteries only lasted a week and the ones in the kitchen lasted around 2 weeks but these are still as bright as when I put them up 2 weeks ago.A couple days ago lighting knocked out the power and it was great not having to run around in the dark looking for flash lights as I walk through the house the light worked just the same.
There not as good as sliced bread but you could see the bread, So you could slice it if you wanted to.

The lamps that I ordered were "Warm White". The shipper, in China, sent "White" by mistake. Before the bulbs arrived, the shipper realized their mistake and made a generous offer as compensation.
Shipping from China to an APO in Afghanistan took a bit longer than is usual for an Amazon order, but it was worth the wait. NOTE: the packages said "Blue" on them when they arrived. I suppose this is because "White" is a bit blue, especially when compared to "Warm White".
It is unfortunate that all of their available colors are not listed. For office settings and work stations, "White" or even "Cool White" (if Cool White exists in this style) are more desirable than "Warm White". I will be ordering more of these.
In any event, the bulbs are fantastic. They are very bright with a very even distribution of light. They will operate on voltages ranging from 85 VAC to 265 VAC. This makes them perfect for anyone deployed overseas; as some camps are 110 VAC and others are 240 VAC. They withstand electrical surges with no problems. Surges are common in camps running on generators. One bulb works everywhere. The bulbs are also very rugged and can be safely packed in duffel bags.
The bulbs get warm to the touch, but not hot. These are much better than the Compact Fluorescent units that I have used in the past. They will be ideal for use in bare bulb fixtures in closets, basement naked bulb fixtures, desk lamps and table lamps. I have a few decorative lamps that will also benefit from using these bulbs.Im an electrician in ma. Have these all around my house, no complaints at all. Expect a delay when you turn on the switch, this is normal for LED's. But unlike CFL's there is no warm up period.

I purchased this light to replace an existing light I had in my basement's drop ceiling. I really don't think the installation of this new light could have went smoother. It was so easy to install and worked perfectly. I really liked the quick connect wiring harness it came with. Very good light output with the 4 T8 lights as well. I am very satisfied with this light.

Purchased (13) 4-packs to illuminate our large staircase at night. They're outstanding and do the job well....BUT....totally failed in the adhesive department. They were rendered useless on our heavily textured walls and dropped off by the dozen the first few days. I followed their instructions (to the letter) even went so far as to use alcohol as a wall prep on the intended surface, to no avail.
No matter.....went ahead and purchased a bunch of Command Strips http://www.amazon.com/Command-Small-Refill-Strips-20-Strip/dp/B000FDLFBK/ref=sr_1_12?ie=UTF8&qid=1358544122&sr=8-12&keywords=Command+strips Problem solved!
Aside from the adhesion issues these are outstanding. They cast just the right amount of light on the stairs and the dawn to dusk sensors work perfectly. Even though they use the pricier coin batteries the energy drawn is minimal due to the use of LED.
They don't put out much light, but if they do last a year on battery as advertised, then that's fine with me. stairway that doesn't have any convenient electrical outlets for a nightlight.
I haven't had a problem with them coming off the wall as others have reported (but it's only been a week), I noticed that the tape on the back is Scotch Brand tape, so maybe they've upgraded to better tape.
Also great in my Moroccan lantern.
Had to order another set. Trust me, get more than one set. You will find creative uses.
As for their traditional use, my daughter stuck one on her wall as a night light, and we have two others marking steps in the house. They work great.
They are definitely small, but that can be a good thing, right? I wanted something unobtrusive, and the dimensions are clearly provided in the listing. The adhesive seems to stick quite well to a baseboard and would probably adhere to any flat surface. Consider that ease of removal might be a benefit when it comes time to change the battery.
They automatically turn on and off based on ambient light. I think they turn on a little too early, though. They will burn with my nightstand light on, for example. A dial to adjust this would be nice, but I suspect that would double both the price and the size.
You get four of them in a pack, and the batteries are included. If each unit truly runs "nearly a year" on one battery as the listing says, I'll be happy. If it doesn't, I'll come back and let you know.

I wanted a stairway lighting for safety, not very bright or dim. These lights are on the dim side. They at best glows by a light switch, that's all I can think of their uses. I've put two on each of the top and bottom steps. But I found in the middle of night I still don't see enough to be able to walk freely. I still left them where they are as cute decoration, but installed Hipo LED night light and am happy with it.Best Deals for Xodus Innovations BL404 Battery Operated LED Guide Lights, 4-Pack

I bought these so my wife wouldn't groggily bump into the door frame on her way to the bathroom. For the stated purpose, they are more than bright enough. It's a night light, after all...don't expect to read by them, that's not what they're for. A brighter light would just run the batteries down. They are definitely small, but that can be a good thing, right? I will add this comment to the videothe customer service does seem to care about whether you are happy. I have not corresponded with them at this time, however they did contact me via email after I received them. They just asked if I was happy with my lights. They want the opportunity to right any issues I may have before I leave feedback. I took that as a good sign, that they care enough to make sure their customers are satisfied. You'll see other reviews describing similar experiences with this company.
Everything I wanted to relay is in the video, howver I will also say this: I do think that they are a bit overpriced for what you receive. They are nice, and the yellow glow is refreshing vs the usual bluish hue of most lights, but $44.99 for 12 small string lights is a bit much. I spent the extra money because I figured they must be very bright for that kind of money. I don't think they are bright enough to warrant the price. Again, the look of the lights is very nice though, and they do work, so if price is not a variable for you, and you want a nice amber glow with your lights, then I'd say these are for you, but if you're expecting super bright lights because of the price range, then move on.
Think I'm getting better at these videos,,,,, hahaha. Anyways, took me awhile to do this review because I ended up buying two sets of these lights. Then some animal tore the wire of one of the sets. I think it was a raccoon. Sooooo, I ended up splicing the wires and wrapping them back together. Sure enough,,, it works as good as new. These lights have a good glow to them and are of good quality. Very pleased with them. Good buy. :)

We really love these lights! We added these to our recently built yard swing frame and they add just the right touch of light. They do burn brightly way into the early morning hours which is nice for Spring mornings, while having coffee, outside. I'm really glad we bought these to accent our new yard swing!Best Deals for Britta Products SSR-01 Luminous Glow Solar String Light, Set of 12
