Update 4/29/13: In fact I did order these again after the first bulb in the 2-pack I originally bought finally blew. Lasted just as long as the Scentsy as far as I can remember. At any rate it lasted a long time because we leave that plug in Scentsy on all the time and like I said, the bulb just now blew and we are on our second bulb from the original pack but went ahead and ordered 2 more packs because they work so well and are so hard to find in stores.

Only 15 watt bulbs I could find with this base. Apparently the salt rock needs the 15 watts to get warm enough to emit what it's supposed to emit, but these were very hard to find. Glad I have a solid source now.

In order not to be misleading the advertised finish needs to be stated as a painted finish to simulate oil rubbed bronze. Item arrived and nothing in the packaging or instructions stated the word "Conoco" only "Carmel Summit" I assume that it is a Conoco but nothing contained to confirm this.

I highly recommend this lamp if you are looking for an inexpensive desk lamp. It is solid and very well made, it has three levels of touch controlled light and the highest level is really bright and good for detail work. The lamp arm is adjustable up or down but not side to side. The base footprint is 5 1/2 inches wide by 7 inches front to back. The lamp is 16 inches high when set straight up and down. the light bar section is 14 inches long. The description called it a "Pure white light" but that must be referring to the led light color it sheds because its color is a black base with a silver grey arm and a dark top. It runs off 115vac using a plug in power converter that connects to the lamp using a 6ft cable on the back right side of its base.

This lamp has nice lines and look. The dimmable switch and articulating arm makes it good for reading or a subtle nightlight. Great value. It was delivered very quickly. One hint I wish the plug woud sit a little more flush to the wall outlet. I have the lamp plugged into an outlet behind a bookcase, and had to locate the bookcase a little further away from the wall than I would like. Maybe a lesson learned for future models. Have already recommended this product to others.

This was a hit with our son the minute we showed it to him, and when our second son saw it, he wanted one too.

While it takes a little time to figure out all the possible ways of orienting this light, the flexibility it affords is great. I suspect my son will find two configurations most useful:

having the vertical element slanted forward 45 degrees or less so that the horizontal (light) element is directly over what is being worked on

having the horizontal (light) element rotated 90 degrees away from him, so that it faces the wall behind his desk and provides indirect light.

The three light levels are nice to have, although the dimmest one may provide too little light for anything other than a night-light.

The horizontal flanges on the light element feel a little flimsy, but the rest of the base/stand seem solid. I was delighted that they include a small allen wrench with the light so that you can adjust the tightness of the two joints to your preference.

For the past 20 years I have been searching for just the right lamp for my desk, where I spend most of my waking hours. Sometimes I need a really good light for working, sometimes just enough to see my notes while playing a game. I've tried the usual gooseneck types and the ones that clamp. They all break within a year or so and ALL run much too hot, even when using LED bulbs.

Last week I was watching the new Star Trek Into Darkness movie and noticed the lamps on the bridge. Eureka, that is what I needed! So I did an image search on Google and found the lamp here, the LEDwholesalers 3-level Dimmable Touch Switch Folding LED Desk Lamp 6 Watt, Pure White 2403WH. It's perfect! Adjustable lighting, adjustable arms in multiple ways, the light is the blue/white that I require (yellow makes me sleepy), AND it's LED (we haven't used incandescent for many years and even fluorescent bulbs get quite hot). Of course I can't tell how long it will last as I just got it, but I will add a note to this post someday when/if it stops working.

This looks great on my desk. It's got a great profile. I've got it just behind my page holder for typing and it's a perfect height for that. I'd post a pic but hey, Amazon isn't doing that anymore (boo, Amazon!)

I love the dimming feature, some days it's good to not have bright light and it's good clear soft light, not glaring even on full brightness.

Also I love that it plugs in! So many seem to be battery operated and I'll use this about 8 hrs a day so a plug was important.

This is an amazing flashlight! I wish I could afford to buy one for all the guys in the family. This light is very light and compact it could easily fit in a jacket pocket. I have these along with the True Touch remotes all around the house in 3 and 4-way configurations. One tap and the light turns on to the level it was last at. Another touch increases/decreases the light level. Lightbulbs seem to last forever when controlled by these as the lights are brought up and down from the level gradually. They work great and I like their very low profile very sleek looking. Small green LED at the bottom illuminates when the switch is off so you can easily locate it in the dark. Need to be careful about putting these alongside other master switches (as opposed to the remotes) in multi-gang boxes, the rated wattage decreases as you break off the fins to get them side by side in the box. You can access the installation instructions on the Leviton website which will tell you what you need to know. Very pleased with these dimmers.

Seller accidentally shipped me these instead of a similar product for 12VDC applications with the GX5.3 bi-pin connector. In short, to avoid the return hassle, I tried these in a 120VAC bathroom fixture and in sconces elsewhere, and it turns out they're really quite nice, so I'll keep them and hope a reorder results in the correct product.

The bulbs run barely warm to the touch, are very compact, and their physical packaging doesn't look outlandish or industrial, on the wall. Their light is warm and pleasing, and creates a showy pool where the bulb is pointed. The 3500°K color temperature appears to be accurate, and they have consistent color and output from bulb to bulb. They are directional, as spotlights should be; just keep that in mind if you're thinking about replacing omnidirectional bulbs such as CFLs or globes. This LED's output has the look of display halogens like one might see in an art gallery.

So, I'll call this a five-star pleasing product that I got to try by accident. That's why you won't see the 'verified' checkmark here.

It was much cheaper than any LED sold in Lowes, Home Deephole (Depot; every time I go there, I get deeper in the hole!), Ace, etc. Also, the light gives it a cleaner look and should save in electricity cost in the long run especially that I have LIPA for my electrical utility!!!.

I purchased this bulb from Target and it works for its purpose (as an outdoor lantern light) but I am disappointed with the technology. I'll make a quick comparison to illustrate this.

This GE LED bulb cost around $15 per bulb and is guaranteed for 4 years (the package say "last 8 years" but the guarantee is only for 4 years) that is $3.75 per year just for the purchase which is pretty high. This bulb uses 2.5 watts to produce 80 lumens of light. That's 32 lumens per watt, not bad but not great. Also this bulb is not intended for "enclosed fixtures" so it is no better than a CFL in this regard and not as good as an incandescent.

Now compare that to a Sylvinia CFL I just bought. It cost $7 per bulb and is guaranteed for 13 years, which is $1.85 per year for the cost of the bulb. Not too bad. This bulb uses 5 watts to produce 200 lumens which are 40 lumens per watt. This means the CFL is 20% more efficient than the LED. The down side is that this bulb is also not for "enclosed fixtures" and does take a while to "warm up" before it is producing full light.

In the end the Sylvinia CLF is more efficient, it is guaranteed for 9 more years that the LED, and the CLF is half the cost.

In theory LED's should produce more lumens per watt than a CFL, and should not be as effected by enclosed fixtures because they don't produce as much heat as CFL's but that technology isn't captured in this bulb.

I won't buy another LED bulb like this until they have made major improvements on output, longevity, and brought down the price.

I bought 3 of these as a test for a whole-house re-bulbing wanting to get away from the CFL's (mercury) and make slow dollar gains on the longer lasting and lower wattage LED technology.

At almost $18 per bulb, I was reluctant to buy, but they were from a respected maker and with free shipping.

They are smaller than your standard light bulb, which is kinda nice since they tuck into my glass fixtures and almost hide there, BUT their light is very soft. I have 2 3-bulb ceiling fan fixtures in my living room, one loaded with these, and the other has a single 13-watt CFL in it now.

I am certain that if I had 3 of these LED bulbs in each fan, I would find myself wanting more light at times... I think they'd be better in a place where soft light is desired, and am not sure if a single bulb would be enough for even soft light applications.

At this price, I cannot recommend them. If they were 40% cheaper, I would reconsider.

I got this to replace the 40W lights in my refrigerator. They work a lot better than the Nanolux 3W light I had before.

Light output is about the equivalent of a 25W incandescent. It's slightly bluer than an incandescent, but quite pleasant, not at all like some LED lights. For my fridge, the brightness is adequate, but it's noticeably dimmer than the 40W it replaced. The form factor is a perfect match.

The best part is the lack of heat from the bulb. My fridge does not have a cover over the light, so I could really feel the heat whenever I was reaching past the bulb. With this bulb, I can grab the bulb while it's on and not feel anything.

It's too early to comment on lifetime, but based on past experiences with LED's I expect no problems. I had a LED light in my freezer compartment for 2 years now and never had a problem, even though it probably gets some condensation whenever I open the door.

If this was a 40W equivalent brightness, I would give it 5 stars.

These bulbs seem very solid but I didn't look at the specs close enough when I bought them. The light output is only equivilant to a 20W incandescent, maybe. Light color is a little more yellow than I like for my tastes. If you have a spot where you don't need a lot of light it would be hard to beat operating cost on these at only 2.5 watts of power input.

For some reason, the designers of this bulb decided it would be a good idea to have the default setting turn on in flash mode. So every time you turn it on, you also have to grab the controller unit to turn it to the solid color you want. The seller's advise that it can not be programmed to start in the solid mode....very frustrating if you want to use as a normal bulb and just use the accent colors on occasion. Also, this bulb is not very bright. I might equate it to a 25 watt normal bulb, but no more.

I've had the Lumiy 1350 for about 2 weeks now. My comments are as follows.

Design:

In regards to design, my initial reaction was surprise to how small the box I received was. The head and foot of the lamp is flat and its neck is flexible, so it doesn't take up much space in either its box or my desk. The lamp comes split into 3 pieces: head+neck, base, and power cord. Setting it up is very simple and the neck does not seem to have any rotation limitations based on my use.

Features + Performance:

The lamp features touch controls which are cool, but the "buttons" can be hard to see. The only indicator given is on the power switch in the center that features a red light when off. This light disappears when the lamp is turned on. I'm not sure if it's because I received my lamp in black but I initially found myself struggling to find the proper buttons due to lack of sight. This however is a minor issue once memory of button placement kicks in after a day or so.

The brightness is adjustable at 3 levels: low, medium, and high, plus interchangeable between cool and warm lighting. This lamp on its highest setting is extremely bright. With that said, it should be understood that this is a desk lamp that is better used for "focus". This means it is best placed closer to your reading, writing, and/or drawing material. With the right angle tilt of the head, the Lumiy 1350 can illuminate your whole room, but it's clear that is not its purpose. If you are like me and prefer a stationary light for your workspace purposes, this lamp is perfect for you.

Energy:

As expected from an LED lamp, the Lumiy 1350 has many energy saving aspects. It comes with a timer feature that turns the lamp off within an hour and the lamp's power consumption is a low 7 watts. But what I find most impressive about this lamp is its LED life. The lamp's LED life is estimated to be over 40,000 hours! Basically if used for 8 hours a day, the Lumiy 1350 should last over 13.5 years.

In summary, based on the Lumiy 1350's design, performance, and promises in energy efficiency, I can say it is worth my purchase. If you are looking for a bright, adjustable, long-lasting lamp to help your workflow, this product is definitely worth it.

Have had my Lumiy Lightbeam 1350 Desk Light for two weeks. I absolutely love this light. The ability to adjust brightness and color temperature is both unique and welcome. I use this lamp on a hutch above my computer and it casts a wonderful light across the entire desk. I prefer the warm, midrange setting, and it provides a glare free unobtrusive work light for me. I purchased it in black, and it is a high gloss, piano black finish that matches my computer components perfectly. These lights are beautiful. I have eight strings, most along the top of my fence. Three different colors illuminate my back yard along the border as well as in the front bushes. Make sure the solar panel gets plenty of sunlight and you won't be disappointed. One string arrived damaged, but the company was fast in sending a replacement at NO additional charge for shipping. That's the only one to give me trouble. It's night as I write this review, and I'm enjoying the light show visible through my window. I highly recommend these lights. Having owned them for over two months through all kinds of weather shows me how durable they are.
