We just remodeled our kitchen last June and I searched and researched under cabinet lighting.

I finally decided on these GE LED linkable lights.

I bought one for each cabinet, That is 8 in total. 6 with 3 LED's one with 2 LED's and one with 4 LED's.

They have been on continuously now for 11 months and I totally love them.

We leave them on all day long since we did not put in a skylight and then we leave them on at night too.

They have a very white light that is like sunlight and they are bright.

We bought 4 of the hard wire kit GE 24772 Junction Box so all the under counter lights could be on one wall switch.

I love the 3000K color.

Highly Recommended.

They come with a standard plug in the wall cord and also with a special cord to link to another light.

The screws that hold the lights to the cabinet do not secure the light that well if they are not exactly the right height. I fixed the ocassional looseness of the fixture with a small piece of 3m double stick tape.3M Scotch Mounting Tape, .5-Inch by 75-Inch (110)

To keep the wires up and out of the way between the fixuures I used under counter wire clips like Command Small Cord Clips, 8-Clip

Measure you under counter distances and add an inch for the cord.

I put a 2 light one at a diagonal on my smallest cabinet and it looks perfect like the ones mounted straight.

I mounted them about 3" from the front edge of the cabinet

What great lights! I installed two (using the supplied link) above my kitchen sink and am amazed by the light quality and quantity. The light is warm in hue and the uniformity of the light across the spread is excellent. Installation was a little tedious because of the location--not the fixtures. Mounting the support screws must be exact, i.e., 19 1/8" apart (for the 4 LED fixture) with no more than about 1/16" error. Allow about 1 3/8" on each side for width. Using only about 5 watts per unit, I'll save the price of the fixtures in a year over incandescents and about three years over flourescents. I'm sold on these GEs and recently put one over my stove and one over my counter.

Cheap Mosaic Solar Pathway 3 Piece Light Set

I ordered 2 boxes, each with a set of 3 different colors. One box was perfect. The 2nd box had three, but not 3 different colors. It had obviously been opened as the wrapping was removed and the tab in the battery compartment had been removed. I will add that all three work, it was just disappointing not getting the correct colors.

I ordered this on Wednesday night around 11 and i can't believe how fast i got this with standard shipping, I got it on Friday. I was kind of thinking these were going to be trash,There 12$ but there not trash. They look amazing. My old headlights were yellowish and and my car and i dint like it. These have a 40% blueish 60% diamond color. They look brighter. And these cost less than a bulb at auto zone which would be 15$ each. I got both for 12. The only reason I gave them 1 star is because 0 stars was not an option. I bought these to replace 25 watt bulbs in my GE microwave. These supposed 40 watt bulbs turned out to be dimmer than the 25 watt bulbs I wanted to replace. I found no evidence that they were actually GE bulbs other than a GE part number on the box they came in. The bulbs darkened as soon as I turned them on voiding the return policy of unused bulbs. Be prepared to pay for shipping if you return them.

I put these bulbs in the range hood lights under my microwave. This is the exact part number that is suggested on the appliance, however, I suspect these are not actually GE bulbs. I put 2 bulbs in at the same time and one went dim after only one day of use (it was on for maybe 30 min.) Also before this happened I noticed they were already not as bright as the old bulbs were when they were new. This seems like a good deal but not if they don't last more than a day. The seller I got these from was partshouse if that makes a difference to you.

Even though you are matching up the exact GE part no. on your appliance...they are not actual GE lights that work with your GE microwaves hi lo lighting. They are a generic brand called SATCO. They are giving off a strange burnt smell when placed in the sockets. I've tried generics before and they burn out in a couple months, so will see.

I could have gotten a generic brand at the hardware store down the street instead of buying online and paying for shipping etc... but I purchased these because I thought I was getting actual GE light bulbs...

Also with the price it doesn't make it worth it to return so I'm sure they count on that.

The seller was Saturn Products; the purchase was fulfilled by Amazon. The 6 bulbs were wrapped in bubble wrap, inside a box, which was also inside a box. None were broken. On Amazon, the product title says 20,000 hours, but the product features and product description both say 12,000 hours. The bulb packaging just says "long life".

The markings on the bulb say:

The bulbs are made by CH Lighting and distributed by Topstar Inc. Made in China. The UPC is 884594000611.

I paid 19 bucks. Considering they cost $8 each plus tax at my local chain hardware store, the Amazon price is a very good deal. And the local hardware store bulbs were also made in China and were rated at 5,000 hours.

First thing Great value! I bought 2 packs of 6 bulbs for a total of 12 bulbs for the price of 3 bulbs at a big box store.

Quality Bulbs shipped are made in China. Bulbs at big box store are made in China. Construction of bulbs looks the same to me.

Operation They seem to work just fine. I don't know how long they will last but for the price I'll still be ahead if they don't last as long as the originals.

Shipping Arrived in two days (on a saturday) (Amazon Prime) Bulbs packed in individual paper tubes, wrapped (6pcs) in bubble wrap, sealed in plastic shipping bag, the two bags were placed in Amazon shipping box with paper filling voids. No damage to any bulbs.

I have uploaded some pictures (5 to be exact) to show the microwave we put the bulb in, the old bulb and the new bulb along with the glass it broke. We dont use the lights all the time or as a night light. Only when we cook and then let the bulb stay on for a short time afterwards maybe. Its the same thing we have done for the past 8 years that we have had the microwave. This was the first time we had to replace the bulb in the unit. 8 years compared to less than 8 days. Something is apparently wrong with this one bulb or this model of bulbs. I am going to file a claim with the seller to replace the glass that was broke. It is rather expensive but we need to have it to keep stuff from getting into the socket. I placed wax paper up there but my wife refuses to cook on the range until it has a new bulb and replacement glass.

**UPDATE** December 23, 2012

I sent a complaint to the 3rd party selling this bulb expressing our concern that it blew out in a few days and damaged our microwave. The short of the response we got was that they didn't make the bulb. I would stay away from this bulb and the seller at all costs. At this point I have an irate wife who refuses to cook on the range until it is fixed. If you have a home supply center in town, I would take your make, model and SN of your appliance and check with them instead, that's what I plan to do now. :-(

Understand, I hold nothing against Amazon, only the seller. The application for the bulb matched my microwave so it should have been fine but wasn't. Now I have about a hundred or so dollars worth of damage to fix out of my own pocket...not worth it...

I realize this was through A-1 appliance, but Amazon has them on their website, so I blame them as much as A-1. The bulb arrived in a box packed with magazine pages for "padding." Great alternative for a wired one. The electricians didn't do a great job with our door bell. It died and I've been devastated about it. As a woman your home is important to you and every aspect of it. I hated the fact that we had to replace it with a plastic ugly looking door bell. When I say this one I was pleased. UPDATE Manufacturer changed this model, so my review is obsolete. Noting the design changes, it looks like the new model will be eadier to install, eliminating both the base plate and tiny set screw. Wish they offered a trade-in cause I sure do like the new model better. BTW, the two I bought in 2009 are still working great, and used every single day. I'm sure the new model is even better than the old. only this time, I'd go for the 3-watt model.

I bought two of these from Lightology in Chicago about a year ago. After many quarrels about turning on my reading light in the middle of the night, my wife and I took a trip and stayed in a hotel that had LED reading lights mounted above the headboard on each side of the bed. Turning this on did not disturb her at all. She asked me to find something like that. I tried to find that same fixture, but the closest I could come was a fixture made in England that isn't available here. I tried several different models that I bought from Lowe's, Target, OfficeMax, etc. but took all of them back because they were ill-designed and cheaply made. Most of them had goosenecks with multi-LEDs that sagged because the LED "head" was too heavy. They only pointed at the wall. I decided to buy the Night Owl only after the sales person at Lightology promised I could return it if I didn't like it. She added, "You won't return it, you will love it." She even threw in a first time buyers discount, so I ended up paying $, instead of $.We love it! It's made very well and the 3-position (high, off, low) switch is very high quality, like you would find on an aircraft or professional sound equipment. The single, 1-watt LED is attached to an 18-inch gooseneck that is also like you would find on professional equipment. The LED throws a small, bright spot of light that is perfect for reading. When you turn it on in a dark room, it hardly lights up anything except what you aim it at. It looked a little peculiar, at first, sort of like a giant insect antenna rising out from behind our headboard, but now we're used to it, and think it looks modern.

We ordered the pin-up version, and it was tricky to attach it to the wall. I didn't have a major problem, but I used to troubleshoot guided missiles and the electronic equipment used to test them. If you aren't used to DIY, here's how:

The instructions cover the canopy version, but don't tell you how to install the pin-up, and how to do it is not self evident. You need a very small allen wrench (which is not included) for a tiny set screw that holds the fixture to a mounting plate. First, you need to detach the fixture from the mounting plate, a procedure that is poorly illustrated and not described. Then, you attach the mounting plate to the wall using the two small screws (supplied), paying close attention to which end of the mounting plate is "up." You need to hold the fixture very firmly against the mounting plate, while you tighten the set screw, or the fixture will wobble, and if you drop and lose the set screw, you have to go to the hardware store for a replacement, they don't include any extra ones. Your best insurance is to take the fixture to the hardware store, and buy the allen wrench and extra set screws at the same time. If you can do all that, and you need an excellent quality reading light, this is it.

I'm wondering if the other reviewers had a vested interest in reviewing this lamp... The fact is, the LED itself is perfect for the intended purpose, couldn't be happier there. Bright enough to read by, but narrow, focused and soft, so that it doesn't light up anything but the reading material. The big beef I have is exactly what I thought I would avoid by spending the premium bucks ($130!)a sagging gooseneck. Sorry to say, but the gooseneck does, indeed, sag. Very disappointing, given that it seems such a minor detail, and frankly such a pivotal one. Also, the unit itself just feels a little chintzy. I'm a mechanic, so I have an eye for how things are put together, and this light just isn't that well made. NOW, don't get me wrong. If this thing cost $50 or less, I'd give it 5 stars. It really is OK, and probably better than anything that actually costs $50. The thing is, when you shop around and spend the extra money, the burden is on the manufacturer or seller to meet the expectation.

My husband and I ordered 2 of these lamps for bedside reading. They have 2 settings, low and high, and only use 1 watt of power! The LED light is a bright white, but not blue, like some LED lights are. This is a very focused light, similar to having someone hold a flashlight over your shoulder as you read. It does not light up the whole room, but works very well as a task light. It is not terribly bright when on at the same time as our overhead lights are on, but makes a huge difference when there is dim or no light in the room. Since the light is very focused, it makes it very easy for one of us to stay up and read without the light bothering the other.

Took a bit of a gamble given the price of this light and not seeing it in the flesh. In retrospect, very pleased with the purchase. Well built with quality materials. 3-way toggle on-off is dainty but solid with a nice tactile click between settings (on low, off, on bright). Light quality is also pleasant, not incandescent-warm but not far off and nothing near the cold-white or full-spectrum-white that are the most common complaint about LED-based lights. Also light is diffused by a frosted flat lens. Neck is also high-quality and should stand up to years of adjustment. Have to agree with other opinions that instructions are limited, but if you take your time to look over and study the mounting plate it should not be more than half an hour to install the light.

My wife has literally dozens of these around our home in the landscaping and gardens. She has also given away probably close to 60 individual lights of this type. They are very attractive and easy to install and set up.

These are very nice accent pieces for use around your home and garden. They are solar charged using an internal rechargeable battery that is replaceable. It has a small solar panel on the pole that must receive direct sunlight at least 8 hours a day for about 6 hours of use at night. They can stay lit to a little over 8 hours if they receive more sunlight. Make sure the solar panel is aimed at the sun to make sure it charges properly. There is also a thin clean film on some of the solar panels so make sure that you carefully remove it so the solar panel works perfectly.

There is a sensor that turns the light on when it gets dark. If you have the unit mounted near a light on your home that is on at night then the LEDs will not light up. There is also an ON/OFF switch on the bottom of the solar panel so make sure that you switch it on and test it when it is dark. We bring ours into the garage in the winter to help save and extend the life of the rechargeable batteries. We also turn them off while they are in the garage.

They are very nice and you will enjoy them! I hope my video helps you!

What struck me most was that the desk lamp's base is nice and heavy, so it's not likely to be tipped or knocked over. The switch on the top of the lamp has 3 settings: off, low, and high. I've found that the low setting is pretty useless for any type of reading at the desk (even reading on a computer). It might be ok for a night light though. The High setting is nice bright white light. The biggest complaint I have about the lamp is the choice for a glossy black finish for the top portion of the lamp because it attracts dust like crazy.

This is a very well made, well designed LED light. It's sleek and stylish and very versatile. But.... the light is just not nearly as bright as I hoped it would be. It's actually a fairly weak light IMHO.

PROS:

Well made, sturdy, sleek, looks just great.

Has a nightlight mode which emits a soft little light.

The power cable detaches and clips to the back of the light... perfect for keeping the cable in check.

Nice long power cable, about 4-5 feet.

The light arm rotates up & down 180 degrees (or something like that). Very easy to change the light throw without moving the lamp around.

No bulbs to replace...ever! It's an LED lamp.

CONS:

The light is surprisingly weak. This is more of a task light than a lamp. It has very very little throw. I had wanted to replace my regular "bankers style" desk lamp with this one but the Verilux doesn't even put out as much light as my old cheap bankers light. For the price (and I hate to review on price) it's really hard to justify keeping this lamp. I will try it out for a few days and then decide.

Hi all, bought this flashlight thinking it was 1800 lumens like the ad said.Not even close I compared it to a 1000 lumen cree xml-t6 and its not even as bright.I contacted them via email and there response was they tested it in the shop and it is bright enough. Some customer service. I had to get Amazon involved .buyer beware !!!

So amazing. At night it's like a light saber. I love the zoom feature and it's really bright. the only thing i dislike is that sometimes when you turn it on it flashes. The switch is a bit wonky.

I was using the batteries mostly in a Bolt e-cigarette. Over the course of the first week, the usable life went down from around 10 hours to about 5. The flashlight worked twice for me, then I couldn't get it to turn on even with a battery fresh off the charger. Fortunately, Amazon was willing to accept the return. Save your time, save your money and skip this one.

Not as bright as I thought it would be, battery is loose inside of flashlight, not a good fit....it does come with two batteries and a case to use 3 AAA's

I've owned the black blast for 7+ years and have used it 200/360 av. per yr with total satisfaction. I just ordered a few more and a replacement bulb after a 8ft. drop on concrete.

I have had a few of these for a number of years. I like to keep one in my pocket for general purpose. They are small and bright. I think the bulbs may have a problem with the higher voltage on a lithium ion battery though.

As another reviewer here has noted, this light is worthless for diving applications. In spite of being advertised as waterproof and sold in dive shops, mine flooded at a mere 40 feet of depth. Furthermore, the salt water corroded the light's circuitry, rendering it worthless.

If you can keep yours dry, you'll likely have better experiences than I did, but this item should not be marketed as waterproof.

I've owned this tiny compact flashlight for over four years. It gives off a very bright light. The battery life isn't as good as an LED flashlight, but this compact flashlight is significantly brighter than similar LED flashlights. So if you value brightness, get this flashlight. If you have very long battery life, then get an LED flashlight instead.

For what it does and for its size, this tiny flashlight is great.
