I like this LED candle, in theory. I like the flame simulation, I like that there is no danger of burning anything or dripping wax anywhere while it is in use. The scent is spicy and delightful and the color is pretty. I love the concept of presenting this as a covered jar candle. Unfortunately, the candle arrived in lots of glass shards...and from reading other reviews, this is almost entirely the rule for this product.
The box it arrived in was too big for the candle and contained only one sheet of air pillow wrap. But I don't know if the glass is so thin that any amount of packaging would help. The opening on the bottom for the candle settings might just make this product unstable on the design end, never mind any problems with shipping.
A few other issues:
The advertising wrap around the glass jar is distracting. As the Amazon product photo shows a nice, peaceful, unadorned candle, maybe the jar should not arrive with a big sticker around it.
Since the candle is made by Energizer, maybe for the price two AA batteries could have been included to start things off. Twentyish dollars is not cheap for a candle not even for an LED one. It seems a bit cheap, when a battery company product arrives sans batteries.
I thought I might still use what was left of the jar and hide the broken side and shattered bottom, but little shards fell onto my floor every time I picked the candle up. I had to remove the glass entirely to use this candle safely. I put the innards into a bell jar and it flickers nicely, but I shouldn't have had to do that.
Even if the Energizer LED candle arrives intact for someone, I would still be extremely careful picking up and putting the jar down. I would handle the lid delicately too, since the glass sides are so very thin and fragile that even putting the lid on the jar sends cracks down the sides.
Overall, I believe this candle needs some thoughtful tweaking in the design division of Energizer. The idea is very good, and I would have loved to use the product as intended.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I used this candle in my kitchen for one week and it works wonderfully. It produces nice scent, and the air in the kitchen smells great. I will order two more to for the holidays. The light of the LED looks like a real candle, and I find this safer than using a real candle, especially when we have kids visiting us for the holidays. There is no burning or dripping wax. The operation of this little gizmo is easy. It works on 2 AA size batteries and has the LEDs and a timer at the bottom of the jar, which runs on a set time of 4, 6 or 8 hours at a time. Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I too received a broken glass jar; it was packaged poorly with 4 pillow packs, 3 of which were deflated, possibly punctured by the broken glass(?). Bubble wrap goes a long way, Amazon packers.I put the broken item into a plastic bag and gently bounced it on a hard tile floor to break the glass, and removed everything with caution, of course. I'm very surprised that Energizer didn't include any batteries. While the item description says it takes 4 AA batteries, mine only takes 2. The Pumpkin Orange & Spice candle itself has a very pleasing scent; not overwhelmingly spicy, which I wouldn't enjoy. My heightened sense of smell allows me to smell things too much, a lot of the time that is a bad thing, but I truly love the smell of this candle. I'm going to put this candle into a Yankee Candle mosaic candle holder that I think it'll fit into, because on it's own, without a glass jar to hide the flickering light, it looks extremely odd.
The buttons/switches on the bottom are extremely difficult to see. I've got mine on the 4 hour setting to test the timer, which worked as it should. As for the "timer", there is not clock setting, so I have my doubts about any kind of a timer actually being present. I turned mine on at 8:30am and it shut off at 12:30pm. It was not on by 9am the following morning.

EDIT 10/08/12: The candle DID automatically turn on after 24 hours (from the time it was first turned on) for the last 3 days. I don't know why it didn't the first day.
EDIT 04/05/13: I ended up putting the candle in the corner of my stairs between the 1st & 2nd floor. I have it set on the 8 hour timer setting, so it's on all night, which provides just enough light to see the stairs when awakened in the middle of the night. It's still on the original set of batteries (since October).
EDIT 04/08/13: I ordered and received 2 more. They were wrapped nicely, yet one jar was broken. Already contacted customer service for call tag & replacement. We'll see if the third time is the charm.

I really like this flameless candle. It is quite fragrant, and I have been using it for a while and can still smell the aroma. The candle is very bright, and the "cut crystal" around the top of the candle enhances the glow. Having the candle on a timer, with a choice of how long you want it to be on is a wonderful feature that works great. I would highly recommend this item.Unfortunately, it took three shipments until I received my order, the first two orders were damaged in shipping.

We purchased the Pomegranate and Vanilla candles. Both arrived intact and worked immediately after installing batteries. As other have stated, why doesn't Energizer include batteries?The LED is a yellowish flicker and looks really good when taken outside. Inside, however, the light gets a bit washed out.
The settings & timer system work well with no issues.
