I bought these to use as dash lights on my center console boat. The lights are bright enough to read the labels on all my switches but not so bright as to lose night vision.
LEDs are housed in a quality milled stainless steel housing a have about 6" of 18ga wires to make simple electrical coonections. They look robust enough to handle the rigirs of a bay boat, but only time will tell.
