Works just as advertised. I was a bit apprehensive when getting ready to order based on one buyers review, in which they stated it did not light up their 56" inch wide picture very well. Well after thinking about it for a minute, and based on the dimensions listed in the specs section, I wouldn't ever expect a light this size to cover an area anywhere near that huge. So, based on its dimensions and the great price with a remote, I decided to take the gamble. I had planned on mounting it to the top of the frame of a 44" inch wide by 36" inch tall picture and it actually turned out excellent! It lights my old ship oil painting up completely and evenly and the light even looks nice as well. Definitely up to par with the more pricey ones I saw at some lighting stores. On a picture any larger than this however, I believe this medium sized light would run out of steam... Your mileage may vary a bit, but on a picture even this big I'm very satisfied.

The remote works great at 15 + feet across my living room, and the dimming feature is actually very useful. When on its brightest setting, it works well in a brightly lit room. When you turn off surrounding lights, you will definitely want to use the dimmer feature.

The light takes three AA alk batts, it works as stated, and does it well.

A good reasonably priced product, and well designed. The batts last a

long time, even when left inadvertently on overnight. The remote works well.

The light aiming takes trial and error for your situation to get it right.

This is a really neat gadget for lighting a picture, especially if there is no plug-in nearby (or if you just want to avoid an unsightly cord dangling). You can amaze your friends with the remote dimming function (not to mention not having to walk over and do it manually). Looks great and is fairly easy to install.

I returned this item and would recommend looking at different products. The light is a cheap plastic product made in China with a row of LED lights which are supposed to illuminate artwork. There were many problems: (1) the packaging is sealed around the product so severely that it takes good knife work to separate it without harming the light. This is the type of packaging Amazon once rightly campaigned against (I wish they sustained this fight); (2) the LED lights are too dim to illuminate artwork well so it takes a whole row of them and this causes an annoying reflection of the row of lights off the artwork thereby taking away from the picture or painting itself; and (3) the product description makes it sound like a snap to mount but there is nothing particularly easy about the mounting instructions. The light itself mounts on the wall above the artwork rather than bracketing to it, thereby requiring the use of a template to drill and then place screws; not a big deal and I would have done it had the light worked for me but definitely not any easier than other lights and probably more difficult than many. I have other artwork lights that mount to the back of the artwork and are incandescent, doing the job much better. Sorry to say that this one was a bomb for me. I give it three stars because it is priced well and may have utility to others who don't mind the issues I have raised here.
