I've purchased many different LED lights over the years, this is one of the best. It is an excellent value. For once you get a quality LED that actually performs as described (many do not). Yes, it's plastic, but it is well made, a good design, and works very well. The one watt LED is very bright and casts a strong, brilliant beam. The switch can be held down to dim/brighten the beam. It is highly directional (i.e. like a spot light) and the base and swivel work exactly as described.

It makes an excellent accent light as others have described here. It also makes a handy work light as it is light, very portable, very bright and can be easily set down and aimed where needed. It's better than most of the LED flash lights I have, so I keep one setting nearby as a handy emergency light.

For once I am completely satisfied and feel like I have truly gotten my money's worth. You can even buy these in a 3-unit pack (at much lower cost per unit) with a remote control! I don't give out 5 stars readily, but this product truly deserves it.

I wanted to warn other buyers not to purchase this item. Extremely cheap fabrication. I purchased this item after reading all the reviews and I feel I was mislead. I placed the light inside my small closet and the light is so dim that it barely lights up one sweater in my closet. This is ridiculous. Worst purchase I've made by far at amazon.com. This product should be worth 89 cents.

I was looking for a simple accent light for illuminating some decor. This was perfect. When we entertain its simple to turn it on. I have had it for over a year now and I have yet to change the battery.

I first ran across this product maybe a year ago, but had a hard time finding the amount (6) I wanted. Finally did here, but that cleaned 'em out completely, with no "Will be back in stock soon!" to be seen.

This led me to believe that it was just another casualty of The Greenie Lightbulb Gestapo (Dedicated to keeping us all in the dark with their worthless curlique bulbs) and would no more be permitted by them 'cause it was too bright, and actually did what you wanted it to do--allow you to see what you'd like to see!

Anyway, after busting (carelessness/dropping--no fault of the product) several of my originals, I needed a resupply. Figuring these were gone forever, I settled for some 6 LED super-duper bright models from Home Depot by the same manufacturer. Wrong move, Kimo Sabe. Just dreadful--not only super dim, but an ugly blue color to boot. Not to happy with myself for not reading the specs (1/2 watt for 6 LEDs? WHAT!! This one's 1 watt/one LED!!)

I stumbled back over there and there they were, back from the dead ala Lazarus. Grabbed another half-dozen, and it's Let There Be Light Baby!!

The moral of the story is pay the extra couple bucks and grab these for nice, clean, white light right where you want it. If it's a little too bright, use the dimmer function--unavailble on the Dim Blue Models.

We received one of these at a White Elephant Christmas party.

We had recently purchased two Helen Flint posters and had them framed. We hung them on the walls of our home movie theater. They are very colorful but they are very dark because she paints night scenes of cars with their headlights on. We mounted the light on the ceiling in front of one of the pictures and WOW it came to life, Beautiful! So I did a Google search and wouldn't you know it, I found it at Amazon. We bought it and mounted it on the ceiling in front of our other picture. They make the picture come to life and the neat thing about them is they dim by holding in the switch until you get the right amount of light.
