I decided to try this out after seeing it on a preparedness site. I was a little hesitant however due to seemingly low lumen output. Needless to say this was not an issue as it throws plenty of light for most needs. What makes this light invaluable is that it runs on the cr123, AA and even though not advertised in the specs....it will run on AAA. I look forward to many yrs. of use ahead because of Streamlight quality.

Perfect size weight and usefullness. I will taking this on and upcoming deployment. I needed a compact helmet light with multiple functions. This fit the bill perfectly!!!

I bought this handy little light for my car's emergency kit. I wanted something that could be a flashlight, headlamp and as an emergency strobe. This little guy could do all that and it could run on either CR123A or AA batteries. I was really stoked about the flexibility in power options as CR123A batteries aren't as universally available as AA batteries.

The light's variable brightness lets you dial in the correct about of light for the task at hand. The color LED modes are pretty neat too. Particularly the red at full brightness in strobe mode. Extremely visible when placed on the hood of a car and pointed at the direction of traffic.

In week's backpacking trip the light the never let me down and survived a few accidental dunkings in water and the dirt and grime that comes with living on the trail. Very durable piece of kit.

This is an excellent flashlight. It uses the CR123 battery, which has much better battery life than AA. This flashlight is sealed against the intrusion from water, dust, and dirt. It has blue, red, IR, and white lights in 4 different selectable intensities. I bought this one because it works with a helmet and with a headband in addition to clipping on a pocket, etc. Don't be in the dark in an emergency. Always carry you Sidewinder compact with you.

Great light. Made by Streamlight so you can't go wrong there. I attached it to my Tactical vest for hands free operation. Very bright and has four different colors with four brightness settings each. Red for maintaining your night vision. Blue which is IR friendly, and IR. The IR feature doesn't get used much because most night vision optics have there own IR light built in. The only drawback to this light is it only comes in tan. I had to paint mine black to match my vest.
