We have a home with two staircases and a few hallways that get very dark at night. With two small children and an older dog that is going blind, we needed some sort of night light that gave off just enough light to help us see our way around at night without turning on our regular lights.

We also wanted something that looked good during the day. To many other products just look out of place or stick out too much. We found this one to be exactly what we wanted. The style looks great with our home's contemporary decor.

We have a six of these placed around our home: top and bottom of our stairs, our laundry room and hallways. They definitely make a big difference and we have noticed it has benefited our dog the most.

These can also be used in the top outlet leaving enough room to plug another device into the bottom outlet. The packaging also states the product gives off a "cool white" color. I would disagree with that statement. I think "warm white" is more accurate.

This nightlight provides a little light, aimed down. It's not a replacement for a night light to help see in a dark area because it's not that bright and the light is aimed down. It looks good. So it's a great product for the specific purpose of providing just enough illumination to a hallway floor.

I really like these outlet cover type night lights. I like that it uses such litter electricity and has a photo cell which allows it to turn on/off when it gets dark and turn off during the day. The only thing I don't like about this particular light is that it looks a bit cheap because the light bleeds through the white plastic instead of just showing through the openings.
