The fixture and mounting hardware are great and we love the look of the fixture and of the nightlight. We purchased it to go into a full renovation of a bathroom. We put the nightlight on a Leviton 24 hour timer control so it would be on each night during non-daylight hours. The fan is on a 10-20-30-60 timer switch, which also works great. Using a new 6" insulated exhaust tube, the fan is also quite quiet.
Disappointing, and the reason for the 4 stars, is that the florescent light (two bulbs) can not be put on a dimmer switch. Be that as it may, we would have purchased it anyway, but wish the main lights were dimmable.
As with any retrofit of a fan, when you aren't removing the ceiling, getting above the ceiling to mount everything can be very challenging, and this was no exception; however, using the enclosed braces (which are a great concept) in combination with putting three screws in each side of the joist mounting fins, proved workable and an excellent result for such a large fan body (10-1/2" x 11-1/2").

Recently purchased this bath fan when we remodeled our 80's bathroom. Installation was not too bad, the only problem being that we went from a round fan to this square model, but i was able to make it fit. I could not believe how quiet it runs, and it looks great. Just installed it. I love the blue LED night light. This was for a master bath remodel and it completes the look. And, super quiet.
