Researched available lights & choose this one. Excellent construction, full silicone gasket seal to keep bugs, rain or snow out of the fixture. LED module is seated in thermal transfer paste, secured with two Torx screws & terminals are covered with insulation tape more attention to detail than any other fixture I examined. Light output is more than the 70 watt HPS fixture that it replaced & color temp is much nicer than the HPS.

The only negative is that the fixture comes with a throwaway photo-control. Had problems with it starting two days after installation & quickly replaced it with an Intermatic K4521 Intermatic K4521 120 V Photo Controls with Locking Type Mounting. This high quality control is 100% factory tested & carries the same 5-year warranty as the fixture.

Very happy with this fixture & the replacement photo-control. Planning to replace other HPS fixtures with this one as soon as each HPS stops working. There is currently no other 48 watt LED fixture of this quality at this price point, even including the additional $21 for the replacement photo-control.

Very well made light fixture. Metal housing and completely sealed lens to keep bugs out. Bought led outdoor security light a big box home improvement store and it was low quality, plastic housing with open lens that kept getting filled with bugs. Also shows as much light as old standard security light with much less energy consumption. And as always fast and free delivery from Amazon!

Bought this light to replace a 175 watt area light, and I couldn't be happier. The light fixture is much smaller than your average high pressure sodium area light, but don't let the size fool you. This light is bright! Some positive aspects of this light for me would be the low wattage, easy installation, brightness, and area coverage. I would definitely recommend this light to anyone.

It was very easy to install and connect up where my old Mercury Vapor light was. It was brighter than I expected it to be. I highly recommend this light. It will help cut the cost of electricity over the Mercury Vapor lights. It is quiet compared to the buzz of my Mercury Vapor lights.
