A few years ago I bought an Emerson alarm clock that has a large display. While the alarm clock has a bright and dim setting the display is still really bright at night even on the dim setting. I am very sensitive to light when I'm trying to fall asleep and finally the thought occurred to me to look for a product like the LightDims.I has worked great! I actually have the alarm clock set on the bright setting now, so I can see the time during the day but it is not bright enough to bother me at night.
The LightDim sheet was a little different than I was thinking it would be. I was expecting a static cling type of material, but it actually has some adhesive on one side. It is similar to a smart phone screen protector but thinner. It is removable but you would probably have to buy a new sheet to re-apply.
I would recommend using a credit card or screen protector applicator card during installation to reduce the chances of getting air bubbles stuck behind it.
