I use this every night after I go to bed and before I get sleepy, keeping the light from waking up my bedpartner, and bright enough to read with. So convenient and comfortable. Perfect. And now I don't need to upscale my Kindle to the back-lit kind that uses up battery power!! It's just right as it is, because room light is plenty of light to read by, so I only need it in bed at night.

This is really a light for illuminating places that are hard to reach. It is meant for a mechanic or handyman.

It does not illuminate a book well.

I like to knit in bed while my mate is sleeping. He goes to bed very early and I like to stay up and watch tv and knit. The bedroom light bothers him so I thought a nice, hands free reading light would do the trick. I picked this one simply because it had different levels of light. Well, I have to use the brightest level to see my work. I would have liked it to go brighter still but the level of brightness is sufficient for my needs right now. I'm 46 and as I get older, I may have to find something brighter.

This light is just ok. It is a little short so you have to move your reading or sewing into place to see it. And the led light is not bright enough

it's ok for the price. i wanted a "black" one ,but I was sent a "yellow" one instead. free batteries would have been nice.
