When I took this Ocean Blue LED rope light out of the box and plugged it in, it didn't look as blue as I had expected. But this was in front of a window in direct sunlight. When I moved it to the darker room where I installed it, the blue is fabulous! And after dark, the blue is extremely rich and almost creates a black-light feel in the area. The product feels very high quality and has worked perfectly so far (I've had it less than a week).

Being LED, the rope is cool to the touch even after being on for several hours. The only time I could feel any heat buildup was when it was coiled up, before I had unwound it for installation. And even then, it was not anywhere near as hot as an incandescent.

The enclosed clips work OK but are definitely the weak link. I tried to pull the rope out of one clip and the clip broke immediately. It looks like once the rope is in the clip, it is permanent! I won't be trying to remove the rope anymore.

All in all, a great product I'd buy again for sure.

I put my 25 foot rope light (blue) in the garage. It's on an auto-timer so that it turns itself on and off. I can now enter the garage without turning on the florescent lights. I don't need the garage door light anymore either. Plus the blue light shines through the garage door windows which looks cool.

Update on October 18, 2013: I can't recommend the light rope any longer as it has multiple sections burned-out (about half the rope). This is after two years of nightly use. I am going to replace this one with two smaller rope lights.

I wrapped this inside my home theater cabinet and I keep this on all the time. It makes my componets visable and it just looks cool and it helps when the lights are off so you can see where you're walking.

Worked out of the box. The ties that come with it are way too small for most applications. Expect to go to the store to get bigger tie wraps. The only thing to report is the first five feet appear brighter than the last 20 feet. The decrease isn't really noticeable unless you are inspecting it for an Amazon rating.
