My 3 year old daughter loved this lamp, until it stopped lighting up after 9 months. Disassembly revealed the bulb is non-replaceable, directly soldered to the control circuitry. I am very disappointed with the design.

My wife and I purchased the light for a nightlight for our son who recently began fearing monsters. We had seen similar lamps at doctors offices and my son was excited about it. We were alarmed at how cheaply it was made and that it didn't appear that you could ever change the lightbulb. Within two days, it started making a noise when plugged in that was loud enough that my son said he would not be able to sleep with it on. I know that you get what you pay for but unless we got a lemon this thing is not worth the $16 dollars.

We mailed the light back before we contacted the seller and did not hear from them until we emailed. Soon after the email, the seller did refund the cost and the initial shipping but asked us not to mail the light back even though we had mentioned that we had mailed the lamp back and the amount of shipping. We were never refunded the cost of mailing the light back.

This is the type of product that fills up landfills with cheap plastic. Do yourself and the world a favor, save your money and buy something that will last.

I bought this aquarium ocean lamp for my daughter last year, and she really enjoys the relaxation it brings her at bedtime. I have this unit mounted to the wall next to her bed, and it helps her fall asleep. While it isn't of premium quality (you get what you pay for), it nevertheless is of good quality considering the price. I also like the fact that it's very lightweight. It has the tendency to make a tad bit of noise as the scene rolls along, but is minimally distracting. Also, you can easily see the vertical stripe that holds the sections together. If one can overlook these minor flaws, they can enjoy a nice accent to any room. Underwater stuff is relaxing to most people. I think it's a good product overall. 8/10

My 4 yr old son received this light as a xmas present from his nana. Out of the box, it didn't work-the "reels" spun but the plastic with the fish on it was too big and didn't catch. My son and his grandmother were very disappointed so I decided to try and fix it. I took apart the top and wrapped a small piece of duct tape around one reel to make it bigger, thus tightening the plastic so it would catch. Great, problem solved, my son was sooo happy that it finally worked. He used it for about 2 months, then the bulb burnt out. He asked if we could fix it, I took it apart again to see what type of bulb and realized it had started a small fire inside the unit. The bulb was blackened and the plastic holding the bulb was blistered and burned. DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT!!! Please get it out of your childrens rooms!!! I shudder to think what could have happened in my boy's room had it started his bedsheets on fire (the light was at the foot of his bed). I read the review of a parent putting stuffed animals around it to darken the light-please don't! I see this is a "best seller" from amazon. It scares me to think hundreds or thousands of children have these lights in their rooms that could potentially start a fire. Would not recomend this product at all-I'm hoping my son isn't too upset when I tell him we have to find a different night light.

Works great, on/off switch on back, cord length is average, and the images are beautiful! I love it and so does my baby.
