I love the look of this moon. It's well made and a good size. When it gets enough sun, it is very pretty at night. I also love that it isn't one of those annoying "color-changing" lights. (Why do they do that?!) It does have a little design problem, however. The solar collector/battery/light mechanism inside the ball is heavy, so it's weight turns the ball in it's wire spiral till the collector is facing the ground. (The ball is loose in the wire holder.) I solved that problemby putting a bit of tape on the wire holder to keep the ball upright. Looks a bit strange in the daytime, but it works to hold the collector slightly offset from the top. However, it also twirls in the wind, so the solar collector isn't always facing the sun in the winter. So, some days the ball shines for only an hour or so.

This is a beautiful item, and quite large, which is why I couldn't keep it: the place I had planned for it would to accommodate an item this large. This was way bigger than expected... my only complaint is that the moon face is only on one side...with the way it hangs and can twirl...I so wish the face was both sides...over all a very nice product..has quality... we will be enjoying it a lot!! Nice craftsmen ship!!
