I purchased this to replace on of eight similar halogen bulbs in my office. The Hologen bulbs cost about half as much but run so hot that they've dicolored the inside of the light can. This bulb runs cooler and is just a little bit brighter than the 35 watt halogen that it replaced. If it outlasts the halogen it will be well worth the additional money.

This bulb is better then I thought it would be, would definitely buy another they want me to put in another six more words hope this will do thats why I don't do these

This bulb will replace the GE 35W JDR curio cabinet bulb. It is almost exactly the same size, just a little longer from base to tip

which may cause some glare issues if using over a work area where your eye level is lower than the bulb because it doesn't recess as far into the can. Not a deal breaker for me. This bulb is truly dimmable, achieves maximum brightness quickly, and cast a warm yellow light similar to an incandescent bulb. The lifespan of the LED bulb in general is said to be 10+ years. If this bulb can live up to that expectation, it is an incredible value since the halogen bulb it is replacing blows out at least once a year at $7 or so, not to mention it uses only 6W of electric instead of 35W.

I've ordered twice from this vendor. Great lights, warm color, and all are still working after about 3 months of service. They are specifically designed for display cases, but work well in floor lamps and bedside lamps. They don't work very well as fan lamps because the beam is narrow as opposed to a standard A5 bulb. I'm very happy with these. I also use three of these in my three 'clamp lamps' when I go camping. I run them off of an inverter on my truck and with the low power drain, can run all night without killing my batteries. Good vendor, good price and they seem to last. Doesn't get much better than that.

This product is a huge improvement over conventional bulbs or halogen when it comes to temps. It burns quite cool and lights up the curio nicely. The only real negative of the part is a faint flicker at all but maximum power. In other words, it flickers when it's dimmed in any way. Because of that, a lot of folks will probably want to consider the less expensive, non-dimmable LED from the same maker.
