In the last few years, wherever I could, I replaced regular incandescent light bulbs with compact fluorescent ones to save energy. LED bulbs consume even less electricity but until now their problems have been the exorbitant cost and the cool white (bluish) light color. Both of these problems are getting better gradually.

After looking at several light bulbs for PAR30 fixture, I purchased warm white version of this bulb because of the cost. It emits 360 lumens and warmth of the light is not really like incandescent but a lot better than usual cool white LED light. 360 lumens does not sound much but is a fair amount of light that I do not miss the 75 watt halogen bulb which it replaced. This bulb is one of the lowest priced LED bulbs for PAR30 fixture, as of May 2011.

The main drawback is that the bulb is short and requires a Medium to Medium Phenolic Extender Socket 1 in. Extension Satco 92-323 for PAR30 fixture that I have in my kitchen.

As my existing light bulbs die, I paln on replacing them with LED ones and for PAR30 fixture, this is a good choice but make sure to order a socket extender with the bulb.

This is a good LED bulb. It is shorter than the standard PAR 30. The glass looks like more of an outdoor heavy glass style than an indoor CFL. The color quality is good but is a little bit on the green side, much like some of the earlier CLF's I've purchased. For the price it is the best bulb I've used if you don't need high lumen output. My current winner for color quality are the 12 Volt GU 16 base Panasonic 4K bulbs that have a very pure white light. I hope they will incorporate them into a standard screw base bulb in the future.

I have ordered several different types of LED bulbs from LED Wholesalers in the past and have been very pleased with their color and quality. I generally prefer the cool white bulbs but wanted the warmer color in the kitchen. I was hoping for similar color to the warm white PAR38 LED bulb in the basement. This one, however, is too pink and also has a strange delay before turning on which I have not seen in other LED bulbs. The delay is particularly noticeable next to the halogen bulb in the adjacent socket.

I will wait a year or so before purchasing any more in this size until they improve.

Pink? Blue? I think you guys ordered a different one than this.

I've ordered 4 of these now and they are just as warm white as my incandescent bulbs I replaced.

For $16 this is a bargain, because not only is that a great price for an LED can (and yeah, they fit in my cans just fine)

but they'll last for years and years beyond fluorescents or incandescents and save you energy all the while.

I'm buying more after I finish this. I have a ton of can lights to replace.

I have a showroom with many many can lights and a combo or curly bulbs and flood lights. Our air conditioning in our showroom can not overcome the heat of the bulbs combined with the normal summer outdoor heat.

I bought 6 of these to give them a try. I was worried about the amount of light they would produce. They came and I installed them. The other 6 bulbs were 150 degrees or more, whew! hot, I installed them and viola, perfect light and zero heat. Just 90 to go.

I am buying more, I will be buying so many per month till have about 100 bulbs. It will take sometime for the electric savings to pay for them. But hopefully I will install enough to slow down the AC costs over the next two months.

I am very satisfied, good ridden to those "curly bulb" and flood light bulbs, a big waste of time and money.
