I'll agree with the other reviewer, if you have your Kindle in a case this thing works beautifully. I wrapped the metal clip with masking tape to avoid scratching the Kindle or damaging the "leather" of my case. Using with a case also permits you to read vertically or horizontally as you can slide the clip behind the top or the side of the Kindle.

Ultra bright, ultra flexible light-aiming. If you get some glare the pivoting head allows you to eliminate it.

Battery compartment is very simple to open. LED lights allow the batteries to last longer than they would with an incandescent bulb. LED's also help this unit be very small. It folds flat to be easily carried in a pocket or anywhere.

Highly recommended for Kindle or standard book reading!!

I am using this for my ebook and I was leery of this type of book light because they usually don't light the whole page. This light is wonderful! I attach it to the back of my ebook case and with the right angle it gives me perfect readability of the complete page without any "hot spots". It's light and doesn't add weight that usually makes the book uncomfortable to hold for a long time. I also used it on a paperback with the same results. It folds down and can be left on your book. I would definitely recommend this for the sneaky reader.

I have the Kindle DX (with cover) and this light works perfectly for plane and train travel and nighttime reading. Just like it says, it is light and bright. The clip slips in conveniently between the cover (necessary) and the Kindle and works for paper books too.

It's not sold "for the Kindle" but I accidentally found out it works perfectly. I bought several booklights (initially to give as gifts) and this one is the best. The clip/stand thing slips between the cover and the Kindle and holds it for perfectly for illumination. It is small, bright, folds nicely, AND you can use it for paper books too (it's original intent). It takes 2 CR2032 batteries. I don't know yet about battery life as I haven't used it yet for an extended time. (It would be nice gift for a Kindle owner).

I require a fairly strong lite when I read a book at night. This does not fill the bill. It is very dim. I bought a Three LED Mighty Bright Bok Light. This is great and gives plenty of light on th book without wakeing up my wife.
