I used this kit coupled with a new NiMH battery to rebuild by 20+ year old Streamlight. The beam is definitely brighter and further reaching than the old. It arrived quickly and was an easy install. It was a little pricey but if it lasts it will have been a good investment. Very happy so far.

I was looking for a bright flashlight. I've had the SL-20X for what seems like forever. The normal incandescent light was good when fully charged... but I didn't want good. I wanted FREAKING bright.Well installation of this thing went super easily even for someone like me with absolutely no technical skill whatsoever. Plug the prongs on the back of the flashlight into the two power cables leading to the prongs on the old lamp module and boom. Done deal.
This light is quite bright. Much brighter than the standard incandescent. When I first power it on, there's about a second of flickering from 80% brightness to full brightness. Not worth knocking a star off, but just something that should be noted. Could very well be my aftermarket battery doing that too.

Got this for my SL-35X. Works great! About 50% brighter, nice beam, white light. Another person said there was a X shaped shadow due to the cross on the LED, no shadow at all. This bulb should last forever since it is LED, maybe fade a bit over time. By changing to this led up grade, the battery life has doubled,It still a very bright light
