As I recently purchased a Notebook P.C. without a lighted keyboard I then desired a resolve to Typing in the dark. As always I searched Amazon.com and was not finding what I needed until I came upon this item. I read the reviews,(thank you to all who write reviews),and took a shot. So far I am happy and would recommend this product. PROS; Fits into USB slot nicely and light enough to NOT cause any stress onto same, Two brightness levels where with one LED it's enough light and with two it's NOT too much, Direct light to screen reflection is not too bad (LED-screen),3-way Toggle switch atop is a huge plus; ON 2-Led/1-Led/OFF, Neck flex is good and holds it's position well, overall build is good. CONS; The neck is 10.inches. I have played around with various positions so as not to have a compromising shadow from my hands as I type,but had no luck in overcoming this issue. If I could amend this product it would be to extend the neck another FOUR inches! I could then gain the needed angle so as to lessen any shadowing of the keys I hit.I extended it out over keyboard as far as possible only to have light head in front of screen.My USB ports are on the RIGHT side of Notebook. If I contacted the Manufctr. they would most likely state that this would exceed the allowable Extension to stress upon USB port limit. I do have a USB-3.0 port on the Left side,(so I could run another one and have no shadow), however I've heard that using that 3.0 with a light as this could damage same port. I'm not willing to gamble. SO,I would have given 5* if it were longer. If there exists a longer model from same M.B.maker then I missed it, and, will surely buy if I come upon one! Oh, and price is fair.

This is by far the best led notebook light I have used. I have tried others that were either too dim, had no switch, were too weak or just broke. I recommended this to family members and would not hesitate to buy this one again if I lost it. It is just well made and really does the job, this is my first Amazon review, I felt I had to recommend this product. A 99 cent light I purchased at Frys broke at the head when I used that to adjust it, so now, just to be safe I always hold the cable to adjust any led light. The large push button cycles through 2 bulbs, 1 bulb and off. I see there is now a 1 bulb model of this on Amazon but I like having 2 bulbs. (not really bulbs, leds last almost forever).

I've tried a lot of USB lights and this one seems to be the best. It throws a wide angle light and the neck is stiff enough it stays where you put it. To test durability I set it up as a desk lamp and have had both LEDs on continuously for a little over two months. Both LEDs are still full brightness so it's doing well in that test.

Update July 31, 2013: After 5 months of being on continuously 24/7 both LEDs have gotten much dimmer. It's still working but no longer bright enough to read by. For comparison I have LED under cabinet lights in my kitchen that are still full brightness after 8 years continuously on. So it doesn't last forever. Oh well, what does? I still think this is the best laptop light I've tried and I will get another.
