These bulbs look almost identical to the incandescent ones they replaced in my frosted glass fixture . 1 of 2 i ordered didn't work , but apparently, Torchstar will replace the nonfunctional one (without returning the DOA) after I write a review and email them. If that's the case, I'll maintain this rating... if not, well...

I like this product, but it's tall. I don't have dimensions handy, but it's much taller than the incandescent bulbs I was trying to replace. It could not fit in either the overhead light in my hallway (the cover of bulb hit the cover of the light) or in the chandelier in my dining room (the cover of the bulb hit a metal grate in the chandelier). I forcibly removed the cover of the bulb and was able to squeeze it into the chandelier, whereupon my wife pronounced it horribly ugly and unfit for viewing (not the light, just the bulb itself). The light produced by the bulb was pretty good. I would buy it again if I had a fixture where the bulb was not visible and there was enough room. The packaging does not say if the bulb is dimmable.

I've been looking for an LED candelabra E12 base bulb for some ceiling fans I bought. I was really hoping that these would put out a brighter light than they do. I figured a 40W equivalent LED bulb would do the trick and that two would be plenty of light, boy was wrong. These bulbs are not bright at all. I chalked it up to them being on during the day. Nope night fell and these bulbs left me rethinking my purchase. I suppose that if I wanted mood lighting these would be perfect, but they are the main light source in my boys bedrooms. Can't fault the manufacturer too much, most of the blame can go to the folks who make the ceiling fan nowadays. I don't know why they switched do these smaller sockets for light bulbs. My search continues....

I bought three to replace 25watt bulbs. Advertised as a 40watt equivalent I intended to install a dimmer so as to have brighter light available on demand. These are not as bright as the bulbs they replaced. The three combined are not as bright as 60watt equivalent bulb in an adjacent room.

I gave two stars because despite the dimness I like the color. I'll find a place to use them somewhere but not where I originally intended.

They are kind of big and ugly but when installed where I intended it wasn't noticeable. Too bad they aren't brighter.

I tried this in both my Hunter ceiling fan and my small stairwell chandelier. Due to the warm white color, it was too warm to light the room well inside my ceiling fan. The warm color makes it work well as a chandelier bulb because the color is warm like a small flame would put off a candle. Nice well built product.
