Ordered 6 halogen bulbs for a ceiling fan fixture because the normal incandescent bulbs kept burning out. They seem to provide a bit more light than the same wattage incandescent. I thought that these bulbs would give off more heat than the others, but to my surprise the fixture feels cooler to the touch than before. Perhaps more energy is going into producing light and less into heat. So far, after about a month of use, they are performing very well I'll update this review when one fails.

Purchased these blubs to replace those that came with new ceiling fans that were installed in new house. The original bulbs were not bright enough. There are much brighter.Best Deals for Westinghouse 4032 60-Watt, G 16-1/2 Halogen Ceiling Fan Bulb
The bulbs give more light than their non-halogen counterparts, but one of the bulbs only lasted a few short weeks.
