good things comes in small packages... I have no clue how they put a remote receiver into a small light bulb to make the color change,but it's great... for under $30 for 2 bulbs and 2 remote controls units ,I could be more pleased with tis product.. the only thing is how long these lights lasts ... we'll have to wait and see ...

It's a very nice item with one major caveat.

The lights are not super bright, you won't be able to light up the entire room even with two lights, but they are very nice for ambient light or for accent lighting (I was going to use them to light up a couple of fake trees in my living room). The remotes are ok, you have to be pretty close to the light or have direct view of the light for the remote to work, I have another light that uses the same remote except it's a strip of LED's that I put up behind my tv. It has the same issue with the remote, so don't expect to be in another room or even across the room and have the remote work. And the remotes do not control both, seems like they are tied to the specific items.

Where the real disappointment comes in is that the lights do NOT retain there most recent used setting once you kill the power to them. Once you turn them on and put them in the setting you want (constant on, fading, color etc.) which in my case was the amber color on full bright, and you turn off the receptacle, the next time you turn the light on it will NOT go back to that setting. It automatically goes into the color cycle setting or demo mode of some type, and you will have to put it back on the setting you like again. This is what you would need to do EVERY SINGLE TIME you turn the light on and off. I emailed the company to ask if this was the correct way for the light to work and within a couple of hours got a response that it was.

So if you are planning on using these lights in some kind of permanent setting where you would like a constant color and brightness every time u turn on the light, keep looking these will not do that. If you don't mind the disco demo mode setting where it cycles through every color and mode when you turn it on or you do not mind having to change the setting every time you turn on the light then go for it, for example parties and such.

And FYI my led light strip behind my TV DOES retain its setting between power cycles so obviously it has some kind of memory circuitry built into it which these lamps do not have. These would really be a great value if they would save the last setting between power cycles, otherwise it's pretty useless to me.

Im very happy with this buy.and I was even happier when I found out that two came to a order.I put one in a floor lamp in my bedroom and the other is in a mini lamp behind my glass platscreen tv stand to admit ambient back light and it looks great worth every penny.the lights wont light a whole room up but they work great for what I needed them for witch is ambient lighting.

This is a great led light (very bright). I used this light for my Christmas light display I had the light shining on the front of the house it provided enough light to brighten up the front of the house. It changed colors as described in all modes. The remote work just fine. The light seems well built. I would recommend this Led Light.

I am about to order another set of these in a few minutes. These bulbs are so compact and have a great potential to be modified by the do-it-yourself tinkerer. If they ever turn out some super bright bulbs in this form, I will buy them. As of now, I think that is the only issue I have with my purchase. They just are not bright enough for lighting an entire room. The best part (the reason I am buying another set) is the fact that one remote controls multiple lights. So when i place two together in one dual light fixture, they change simultaneously. Great!
