I bought two of these one foot (12 inch) cables, actually, and both of them work exactly as they should.

I agree that the price seems steep for a little bit of cable, but I suspect that producing the cable costs more than the materials, so a short cord is not cheaper than a long cord.

It is worth noting that one can order products directly from the manufacturer and request different cable lengths than those supplied in Amazon kits. I thought about doing that, and may purchase direct in the future when I inevitably expand my use of LED lights, but I often prefer to go through Amazon on a purchase from a new supplier like this one, enjoy my Prime shipping, know the return policy, etc.

I love these lights. When I bought LED strip lights for a kitchen remodel in 2007, I paid more two pieces (less bright than these) than I did for a total of nine light strips and three power sources here and now. I am a huge fan of dispersed lighting at low levels, and this company offered the total flexibility that I wanted. I think these are a solid buy, even at this price for a cable.

The cheapest place I know of to purchase LED strips is the big Swedish boxed furniture chain, but there is zero flexibility with those! Inspired LED is literally lighting up my life. :)

Ordered one strip of LED lights and realized that I needed to connect it to other strips already installed. It's disappointing that the strip didn't come with one nor ws any suggestion made to purchase. ??

Sorry guys. I would love to have had a bunch of these for my kits of LED lights. Instead, they include much longer ones and you have to adjust for "too much" wire. These would be the best but, wow, $5 each? No thanks on that grounds alone. I will just utilize the longer ones that come with the kits and make them "shorter". Cut the price in half and I would recommend and buy these otherwise. Thanks.
