As a homeowner looking to save energy, buying LED bulbs makes a lot of sense. The MR16 LED bulb from Great Eagle is of excellent quality and it has one of the longest 5 year warranty on the market. I tried a few MR16 LED bulbs before and either the color was too white or one failed within a few days. The Great Eagle MR16 LED bulb turned on right away and after an hour was still very cool, the other halogen bulbs were very hot so the energy savings are definitely there. The color was a warm glow which is not so harsh. I think my purchase off of Amazon with their warranty, the 5 year warranty and UL Certification on the Great Eagle bulb gives me more comfort on this purchase. I will purchase a few more bulbs to replace the rest on my recessed lighting track.

Overall, this bulb produces a good light and looks well built. The "Dimmable" in the description though is not a good description; I can only get 3 levels of light dimming out of this bulb .. bright, then it drops to slightly less bright, and finally drops to about half bright. To compare, I bought a Philips bulb, same traits, and found it dimmed much better in a gradual (non-stepped) way from full bright to about 1/4 brightness. I bought both as test bulbs, before buying more to replace all my current ones. If you do not need to dim this bulb, then I think it is a good bulb to buy. Just bought the MR16 LED bulb from Great Eagle Lighting on Amazon. Great quality and what got me interested was the long warranty and UL certification for safety. I plugged in bulb and it works great. Color is good, bulb runs very cool. I have been looking to buy this LED bulb, then the sale caught my eye. Initially worked great, now 4/20 have failed (all less than 12 months since installation). They fail by flickering incessant, irritating, baleful flickering. Nice warm light and the brightest I've tried to date. Nice wide angle also. Works great on 12vac transformer with no flicker.
