The subject says it all I was replacing the halogen 50 watt 12V MR16s in a Kable-Lite fixture over a kitchen island and the original Kable-Lite transformer wouldn't power the new Lightkiwi Dimmable 6W CREE LED MR16 Flood 45 Soft White light bulbs because the wattage was too low. The fixture had 3x50 watt halogens originally, so the 3x6 watt LED's were above the minimum of 15 watts required by this transformer, and I couldn't find a reasonably priced zero-load transformer on Amazon this did the trick and works very well. Absolutely quiet and no flickering. I managed to remove the original wound 3 pound transformer and mount this tiny replacement in the same housing.
I should add that the 3000K LEDs are certainly much colder than the original halogens, but still within the range of acceptability in fact once I became used to them, I now prefer them over the very yellow halogens I started with.
While everything is labeled "dimmable", that is a bit of a misnomer in that there certainly isn't a smooth range of dimming but a few leaps of brightness. Still, it works and looks nice, runs completely cool and doesn't take a fraction of the power of the original lighting.
