The soft glow is bright enough to illuminate my bathroom without blinding my family during the middle of the night. LOVE IT!

This is an excellent product despite the fact it is made in China. Fluorescent night lights are very difficult to find since GE stopped making them in the USA several years ago. This light is ideal because it produces a soft glow, which is quite sufficent to illuminate a bathroom or even a small size room. Best part is it is very stingy on electricity usage. Great little night light! Bought it for the upstairs bedroom hallway and last night when I got home from work at midnight I learned it was the perfect light for that space. The light points towards the floor so it makes it easy to see where you are walking without shining in your eyes. I can't speak to the life of this product as it just arrived yesterday, however I noticed this morning it had automatically turned off (even though just a little light was coming through the blinds) so it doesn't require bright light to turn off. Nice for travel. Nice soft light at a good light level. Can be either down light or can be turned upward to light the room. Attractive. I have used this night light for years. It's not too bright and doesn't glare in your eyes when on. It also doesn't block the other plug above it, so you have full use of both plugs in the outlet. I've never had one burn out. I've only dropped it on the tile floor and it didn't work any longer. It's the best!
