I bought a few of these to control some of my lamps in my living room, and the first one I tested worked fine for about 10 minutes. Then it stopped responding to the controller. So I opened it up and was immediately assaulted by a noxious smelling smoke, and to my horror found it had caught on fire. The worst part was the fuse that was installed on the circuit board to prevent it from short circuiting and starting a fire hadn't even tripped... I feel extremely lucky that the thing didn't burn down my house.

I have a lamp up high on a speaker in my room that i can't reach all that well so i bought this. I plugged it in with a 70 watt bulb which i probably shouldn't have since it runs 50 watt bulbs which is lame in itself, but needless to say the plastic heats up around the base of the bulb and i imagine from the smell that it would eventually smoke and/or catch flame. i didn't trust leaving the light on so i removed this stupid thing. i should've just bought a remotely controlled outlet or any other option but this POSFind helpful customer reviews and review ratings for HDE® Screw-In Wireless Light Bulb Remote Control Adapter
So I need 20 words about this product. If I felt like writing CRAP 20 times that would cover it. Broke after one week. Thought bulb burned out. But nope! Garbage product. Was only clicked about 10 times them never worked again. SAVE your money. Lesson learned I guess.
