First of all the Satco box itself was damaged, and still they sent it I could tell it had been damaged in the factory because the shipping info was on top of the damaged area and scotch taped over.

The image shown on the Amazon site is very deceiving. In actuality while the Par 30 lamp is held in place by a ring the rest of the light bulb is exposed except where it enters the socket. But no where do you see that. Once you screw the bulb in place to the gimbal ring, the bulb has a tendency to fall out of the ring whenever you try to adjust the angle. Very dangerous. On top of that, the whole structure of the track light is flimsy. Do not buy this track light. I ordered two and returned them immediately. No wonder the box was damaged the Satco track lights probably have been returned many times already. This is the worst thing I have ever ordered from Amazon.

these lights are somewhat large but work fine as the ceiling was quite high

I installed six of these light fixtures on 12' of rail at a ceiling height of 14 ft. Since the wall was so tall, I mixed 3 Par 30 led for the upper portion and 3 Par 38 led for the lower portion. Yes, some of the rear of the bulb is exposed, however because of the tilt of the fixture it is not noticeable after installation. They work great and look good.

It is a complete waste. It looks good but when I receive it, it is like a pack of garbage. Never buy it waste time and money.

I have LED lights and the PAR30 LED lights are often shaped a bit wider or bumpier around the front bezel. These fixtures have a spring clamp and a hard metal ring to hold the light. So, if shape is not exact, the bulb will not fit. These are NOT like normal fixtures which hold the bulb by its screw in base. That is, the other 110V track fixtures for PAR30 I have attach to the track by the screw-base and so can handle any size bulb. These attach by the front ring and the base just is held there by the bulb. So, if the bulb pops from the spring, it will dangle by the wire. Not a good design in my view.
