We could not find this particular size (9 inch) circular bulb for our ceiling fan anywhere in town. We went to all the big hardware stores and even a couple of speciality lighting stores with no luck. I even contacted the maker of the ceiling fan and they said they had not heard of that bulb before. Now, how could that be since it is the only bulb that fits in their fan? Amazon is the only place I was able to find the bulb I needed. It is perfect, so we ordered a bunch of them have on hand. Thank you.

Myself like many others have a Hampton Bay fan which takes this bulb. Unfortunately you couldn't buy a replacement buld for it even the day after you brought the fan home. Home Depot, Lowes, etc.. no one had the replacement bulbs.

The packaging was a little lax so when I opened the box to find the bulb OK I was relieved. I haven't had a light in my fan for over a year because I couldn't find the bulbs locally. Decided to check online somewhere and voila. Thank god Amazon had the exact one I needed.

Just FYI for those who have the TCP Circline Adapter you can actually unhook it from the fan and there is a regular bulb socket in the fan! You don't actually need the circular bulb. I didn't realize that until I saw the Circline Adapter here on Amazon under the "Recommended Products" thingy and it had a screw base in the diagram. Check it out.

I absolutely love the circular bulb style because of the way it lights the whole room evenly. Since I got the first one to make sure it works I'll be buying a couple more as spares.

Received what I ordered and in good condition.

Unfortunately it is not what I needed and due to the relative high cost of shipping, returning is not worth the effort! I guess that is a disadvantage of buying from Amazon Marketplace vendors like Light Bulbs Etc. I sent an email to the vendor accepting my mistake and asking for options but they never bothered to reply I am wondering if they are dependable enough.

Be careful with the misleading TCP (manufacturer) Part#. TCP #32030 is apparently the same for thicker tube T9 as well as thinner T6. Both items have the same outer diameter and even work with the same ballast. But being different thickness, they will not install the other's mounting bracket. I have the T6, which NONE of the local big chains carry so ordered it online, only to waste my money.

Personally, I would not buy this brand again considering difficulty in getting their parts. This is sad because the product works really well.

i put the light bulb in, it flickered and then out, did not last, and kind of expensive for a light bulb

If you are looking for the 8.8" circular 30w fluorescent for a Hampton Bay ceiling fan, look no further. This is a very hard to find item. I made the mistake of listening to the Ace HW guy telling me the standard 8" bulb will work. Sure enough, too small.

This light fits perfectly, and gives off a decent amount of light. It's not superpowerful, but it gets the job done. It's a bit on the white, rather than warm side, but that's ok.
