I have been buying a lot of MR16 bulbs from various manufacturers to test the quality and lumens of bulbs on the market and these are definitely the closest to a 50 watt halogen than any I've found to date and the quality seems to be pretty good too. Now I'll have to play the waiting game to test the duration of the advertised 100,000 hour life span... David, Anchorage, Alaska
