I have purchased over 100 brands of florescent and LED bulbs in search for the ideal bulb, ideal color, ideal size, etc. This was of the worst that I have bought. The manufacturing quality is poor, the materials quality is poor, there is all sorts of "stuff" that moves around on the inside.

The worst part is that the thing sounds like a lawnmower (slightly exaggerated), the loudest bulb I have ever had. It produced 22 decibels of noise.

The color was terrible. It was not 5000k, but rather yellow.

The bulb also only consumed 19 watts of electricity, not 30 watts, thereby making it quite dim compared to a 30 watt bulb.

The cost was twice as much as a comparable bulb.

So for lack of quality, lack of color, lack of wattage, and overpriced cost this bulb cant deserve more than a 1 star.

I needed some help with getting the right picture for my Etsy shop without going outdoors. These bulbs solved my problem. My husband made me a photo box and I already had two lamps but my pictures were having the yellow cast even though I used daylight regular bulbs.

I use these with my cowboy studio style photo cube, and they work great with or without diffuser covers.

Great color for color-true photos of jewelry and textiles, and great spread of light thanks to the shape of the bulb

I have long been disappointed with the new kinds of lightbulbs because they are never as bright as the old incandescent bulbs they claim to replace. I finally researched how to determine brightness, and as a result I bought these bulbs which give 2000 lumens which is the brightness equivalent of 125 watt bulbs of the old incandescents, but which only use 30 watts of energy rather than 125. Finally I have lights bright enough to actually see! Because they draw less wattage they can be used even in old fixtures or lamps which have limits of 60 watts or less. They were a little larger than I had expected, so they cannot be used in some cases where the bulbs are enclosed by a globe or other decorative size-limiting features because of their size, but the brightness makes finding new fixtures worth it. Usually the size was not a problem. I was happy with the seller, because when one (of 4) arrived broken, it was immediately replaced with no questions.

This lamp made by the same manufacturer is much less expensive from other vendors. You can get this product at one third the advertised price from this seller. Don't let the "patented" in the description fool you.
