these are not the cheapest but they are bright (brighter than the 100w halogens i just purchased?...), and they seem to last forever as the particular light fixture they are being used in is on all day long. love these.

Although the desk lamp has "requires T4 bulb" stamped on it, and this was supposedly a T4 bulb, it was clearly the wrong size. I don't know if they mislabeled it or if the specs were wrong or if they shipped me the wrong bulb; it is too small a deal to bother with returning, especially since I had to cut open the blister pack to try to install it. Really annoying.
