I ordered three units and we really like them, but we had a slight problem that 1 of the units would not light. I reported the issue through Amazon & The Amazon company that sent them to us contacted us by Email to help me technically. I tried their suggestion to no avail. I let them know by return Email as they siad they would replace, to date I have received no Email or replacement unit.

I bought 2 of these to replace my original ones that suffered sun-rot after less than a yr in the AZ sun/heat. The vertical 'plastic' tube connecting the solar cell/electronics to the LED broke easily on both of the original solar humming bird lites with only minor handling.

These are much sturdier, with 'metal' tubes that also do not bend with wind, and therefore also do not take a 'bent' with the addition of heat during windy periods.

My last question to be answered is: "How long will the batteries last during the usual hot AZ summer of 6 mos duration?" I replaced 1 of the batteries in my original humbird lites after 6 mos. The orig battery was a no-name Chinese product. I replace all failed batteries with rechargeable Energizers, which are long lasting and can take the heat. I also use Energizers on my other solar yard lites as the original batteries fail---they're worth the $3/ea.

EDIT: 1 yr later, replaced one of the batteries of the 2 I bought..work fine but birds have a yellow tinge to them in AZ sun.

I ordered this for my mom for Christmas. She didn't use it till months later so we had no idea it was broken. Which lead to me not being able to return it. Hurray. Anyway, it didn't turn on when we stuck it outside, so two days later we opened it up and realized one of the dang wires wasn't connected right! In fact, forget connected right, it wasn't even hooked up to begin with. So we spent about an hour trying to fix it and gave up because it really wasn't worth it. Bought my mom a new one from Target and called it a day. So, no hard feelings on Amazon 'cause it came really fast and in plenty of time for Christmas, but the company which made the stupid thing is not to be trusted. Actually, kinda glad it wasn't tested the day of or I might have been a bit more ashamed lol.

I love the solar garden lights , both the hummingbird and the dragonfly. They work well and all night long after all day in the sun. The changing colors are awesome.
