I wanted a bright compact flashlight to perform preflight inspections at work. I have several $5.00 led as powered flashlights that do the job but just weren't very bright. I'm using what are labeled as Ultra fire BRC 18650 4000 mAh batteries in this flashlight (another reviewer here on amazon believes these may not really be 4000 mAh). I'm not sure how the batteries will hold up over time but the flashlight seems like an order or magnitude brighter than my other led flashlights. It throws a bright spot to the top of a Boeing 737 tail at night. I just realized today that you can soft tap the power button (without a full click) to cycle through the various flashlight settings.
Being used to looking directly into my previous lights to gauge battery life I did the same with this light. It took a couple of minutes for my eyes to recover from that :( For about 15.00 I'm very happy with this light.

I received this today from NowAdvisor. The ad on Amazon, under Product Details, says "With a clip to pin on bags and others,"
Not only is this poor English, it is simply untrue. There is NO clip included with this product. This is false advertising. I needed that clip, which is why I chose this flashlight. It is infuriating to receive something that does not contain promised items.
