The lights come on at dusk and produce usable light for about 5-8 hours. We use them to light the entryways in the evening. We had some shipping issues, the company was quick to remedy the situation.

Received many compliments on this fixture. It looks beautiful, and is sturdy. Light is adequate for us to see the pathway. It isn't very bright, but it does emit light for quite a distance.

We installed it late fall--about 2 months ago--so haven't had many sunny days to adequately charge it. On sunny winter days, it provides light for about 4 or 5 hours. I'm sure this will be longer in the summer. We purchased it mostly for decorative reasons and to provide some light for a long pathway to our cottage. Definitely looks nicer than a large spotlight in the yard.
