Brightness 5 Stars
With 80 Lumens of brightness, it's more than bright enough for anyone's needs. In some cases it is too bright and I wish there was a dimmer. The red LEDs make up for it (read the "Special Features" section for more details).
Comfort 5 stars
The padding is both comfortable a durable. It comes with two types of straps, but I personally like the default one. It is also very lightweight. The other strap is rubber and is good for people who deal with water a lot and don't want to have a cruddy/moldy. *UPDATE* the rubber strap is intended for use with helmets.
Battery Life 5 stars
Hasn't even dimmed on me yet after 5 hours of use. (3 Duracell Triple-A batteries included)
Durability 5 stars
So far so good. It feels very well constructed. I've dropped it twice with no consequence. I will give it the benefit of the doubt because I am quite content with all my other Pelican products. I will update this post if anything changes.
Special Features 5 Stars
The red LED's are just the right brightness for troubleshooting something during a performance while not being distracting (I am a camera operator/assistant) . It is intended for use with night vision goggles (I don't own night vision goggles, so I can't rate this for that specific use).
The magnification of the lamp is excellent and so is the tilt feature (very solid and easy to adjust).
And last but not least the motion controlled on/off. At first I didn't know what to make of this feature (I dismissed it as more of a novelty). After using it, I found that it was particularly helpful when running back and forth between my monitor and the camera without having to fish for the on/off switch. I also found it particularly useful as a signal light. Turning the light on and off with a wave of my hand made this a perfect signal light for getting someone's attention. I've already used it twice for that purpose.

I am on the Fire Dept and I needed something for my helmet that was light ( and Bright). I have since bought two. One for my Wildland helmet and one as a gift. It is bright , lightweight, adjustable and the auto sensing feature is too cool. Haven't used it enough to see how long it lasts so I can't comment on that. Pelican also has a lifetime guarantee. And that is a plus also. For the price it is definately worth it.
