I'm on the fence about returning this item. The joints are weak. I tighten one joint or another enough to hold the proper position with a coin, and then with any slight adjustment, both joints give. I don't believe that the unit demonstrated on the manufacturer's youtube channel and the unit in my possession were created with the same quality control.
When I get the light close enough to illuminate my 18x24" drawing paper, about half of it is illuminated properly. When I move the light higher, of course the light spreads to an acceptable work size, but then is not bright enough to justify the expense of the light.
The tilting of the top segment only goes one way a few degrees, so good luck trying to get colored pencil or other media not to shine unless you hold your drawing board just right.
Suggestions: Make a unit with better joints, more LEDs in the array, and with more clearance to the last joint so that the angle can tilt at least 30 degrees in either direction.... Or don't advertize this unit as "fulfilling the desires of design professionals"(from PRISM's website).

I needed a verastile lamp that would not get so hot (as the halogens do) that I couldn't touch it. And the anti-glare is wonderful. (which was another problem I had with halogens and incandescents) The fact I can pick cool light, warm light or bright light and then still have choices of intensity within those choices. Best ever. I do not do art work but I can imagine what a help this lamp would be for those who do any type of intense work. Looks great too! Highly recommend.
